Zareen Khan shares old video of getting Katrina Kaif's autograph at Race premiere, recalls being a fangirl: ‘Never imagined I'd one day be in the film industry'

Time of India05-07-2025
Zareen Khan
, who made her Bollywood debut opposite
Salman Khan
in Veer (2010), has often made headlines for her resemblance to Katrina during her early years in the industry. She recently took a trip down memory lane and shared a nostalgic video of her younger self getting an autograph from
Katrina Kaif
at the premiere of Race (2008).
Posting the clip on Instagram, Zareen wrote, 'Oh my Goddd! Came across this video and the memory is still so fresh. I clearly remember this moment... it's from the premiere of the movie RACE. Thanks to a friend who got us passes, we were able to experience the magic firsthand. At that point, I was just a wide-eyed fan, never imagining I'd one day be a part of the film industry.'
She added, 'But look at how happy I am in this video, a total fangirl... grinning from ear to ear, getting an autograph from the woman I thought was and is breathtakingly beautiful!'
Zareen says being compared to Katrina Kaif eventually hurt her career
Speaking on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa's podcast, Zareen had reflected on how her similarity to Katrina Kaif, once seen as a compliment, eventually became a stumbling block in her career.
'Life after Veer was very bad for me, I got a lot of criticism. The film was a life-changing moment for me. Initially, I felt very happy that I was being compared to Katrina Kaif, but within the industry, things kept getting worse. For me, who used to be overweight, being compared to Katrina was huge, but it all backfired.'

She further shared that she felt like an outsider in Bollywood and was often misunderstood.
'I felt like a lost child in the industry, plus there was hesitation. I didn't know most people here, but they started to feel I was arrogant because
Salman
Khan launched me.'

Shane Gillis roast of Shedeur Sanders at ESPYs goes viral: Was it a joke or a reality check?

David Richard / AP file Only Shane Gillis could light a fire on national TV and smile while doing it. At the 2025 ESPYs, the comedian took the stage with the subtlety of a sledgehammer and Shedeur Sanders caught the brunt of it. His joke? A not-so-gentle jab at Shedeur's jersey retirement at Colorado and the ever-lingering whispers of nepotism. And yeah, the internet is very divided over it. Shane Gillis calls out Shedeur Sanders' jersey retirement with a brutal one-liner During his monologue, Gillis didn't waste time going there. He delivered this line with classic deadpan delivery: 'Shedeur Sanders had his jersey number retired at Colorado this year, and people are saying it's because of nepotism because of his father, and it's not. It's because he went 13‑12 over his career and he almost won the Alamo Bowl. Definitely not nepotism… right?' — NFL_DovKleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) Ouch. The crowd gave that uncomfortable half-laugh, half-gasp you hear when everyone's wondering if the cameras will cut away. But for those who've followed Shedeur's journey or the drama surrounding his jersey being retired,, it hit right in the middle of a long-brewing controversy. The jersey retirement was already controversial way before Gillis said anything Back in April, Colorado shocked fans by announcing they were retiring two jersey numbers: Travis Hunter's #12 and Shedeur Sanders' #2. The twist? Both players had just wrapped up their second season with the Buffs. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Why seniors are rushing to get this Internet box – here's why! Techno Mag Learn More Undo While Hunter's Heisman-level performance made some sense, Shedeur's 13–12 record had critics raising their eyebrows. And yeah, being the head coach's son didn't help quiet the 'nepotism' narrative. Several former Colorado players publicly questioned the move. One called it 'asinine.' Others pointed out that legends like Eric Bieniemy and Darian Hagan didn't even get that honor. So, when Gillis called it out, he wasn't exactly plucking a joke out of thin air, he was roasting a very real, very public debate. This isn't just about one joke, it's about legacy, favoritism, and where the line is drawn This whole drama taps into a much bigger conversation: when does honoring talent become favoritism? Deion Sanders has always been a headline machine whether it's cutting nearly an entire roster or elevating his sons to top spots. And while Shedeur has the stats and spotlight to back up his NFL draft pick with the Browns, many still question whether Colorado retired his jersey because of his numbers or his name. That's what made Gillis's roast land the way it did, it wasn't just a punchline. It was a mic drop on a debate that's far from over. Vsauce stuns fans with a surprise long-form video after a 2-year silence, announcing his return

(Image via @Vsauce/YouTube) Michael Stevens, better known online as the brain behind VSauce, has done the unthinkable. On July 15, 2025, after nearly two years without a full-length upload, he quietly dropped a brand-new video onto the VSauce channel without warning. The internet, naturally, lost its mind. Michael Stevens makes a comeback fans didn't see coming Fans had almost accepted that the days of "Hey, VSauce. Michael here," were behind them. Since 2023, the main channel had only seen a few YouTube Shorts sprinkled in, which were just bite-sized clips that reminded subscribers the channel wasn't completely dead, just dormant. All The Ghosts You Will Be But this time, it wasn't a short or a community post. It was a full-fledged, vintage VSauce video, cleverly titled All The Ghosts You Will Be . At 22 minutes long, it delivered the classic mix of deep questions, unexpected rabbit holes, and mind-warping thought experiments fans have missed dearly. And just like that, after two years of silence, VSauce was trending again. Fans go feral over the upload The response? Instant. Explosive. Emotional. Within hours, the video crossed a million views. Comments flooded in like it was 2014 all over again. For longtime followers of the channel, the return wasn't just nostalgic; it was personal. VSauce is not your ordinary science channel; it's the curiosity hub that helped define what smart YouTube could be. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like How to Trade ETH/USD Without Holding Ether IC Markets Learn More Undo And seeing it come back in full force felt like a reunion nobody expected, but everybody needed. One video only? The return that raises more questions Michael Stevens didn't say a word about what comes next. No teaser for the next video. No promise of a return to regular content. Not even a 'see you soon.' Naturally, this left the VSauce community in a state of emotional whiplash. Was this a one-time drop? A slow reboot? Or is this just Michael doing what he's always done: disappear, reappear, and melt everyone's minds without explanation? What we do know is that VSauce still has its spark. The production value, writing, and pacing were peak Michael. If this is a new chapter, it's starting exactly where it left off, on top. Where has Michael been all this time? Though the main channel was quiet, Stevens hadn't vanished entirely. He remained active in Shorts, occasionally replied to fans on X (formerly Twitter), and made rare public appearances. But with no major uploads, fans were left wondering if the legendary YouTube educator had moved on. Turns out, he was just taking his time. And if this latest video is anything to go by, it was well worth the wait. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
