TCS names new heads for digital engineering, IT operations
Bengaluru: TCS has announced significant appointments to strengthen its digital engineering presence. Effective Tuesday, Sreenivasa Chakravarti will head TCS' IoT & digital engineering services, succeeding Ragu Ayyaswamy, who will superannuate from TCS on Sept 30. In an email to employees, TCS COO Aarthi Subramanian noted that Sreenivasa, previously part of the IoT-DE unit, was responsible for sales, delivery and operations over the last two years. He has 32 years of experience, including 25 with TCS, where he led P&L, consulting, client relationships and strategic planning, backed by deep industry expertise. Additionally, Janardhan Santhanam (Jana) has been named chief information officer (CIO), effective Tuesday. Jana will report to Subramanian in this capacity. Multiple transformation initiatives are ongoing in Ultimatix, led by Krishnakant Narayanan. The Ultimatix organisation will now report to Jana. TCS Ultimatix is an integrated timesheet management system that allows staff to log work hours, monitor project details, and efficiently track task progress. We must look at how we can leverage AI technologies to achieve greater efficiency, improve employee experience, and enhance customer engagement. Our goal will be to reimagine what can be achieved with AI." An email sent to TCS on the changes did not elicit a response till the time of going to the press.
