Andhra Pradesh ready to lead India into Quantum Age: CM Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday unveiled an ambitious plan to transform Amaravati into India's first Quantum Valley, dubbing it the second chapter of his technological revolution. The announcement came at the Amaravati Quantum Valley National Workshop in Vijayawada, attended by global experts, industry leaders, and policymakers. The state government announced the establishment of the Quantum Valley Park in Capital city Amaravati, a pioneering initiative being developed in collaboration with IBM, TCS, and L&T. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a startup exhibition, showcasing innovations in quantum computing and allied technologies. Operational from January 1, 2026, the Amaravati Quantum Valley is envisioned as a complete ecosystem for real-time applications in governance, healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace, and pharma. Naidu also launched the 'Amaravati Quantum Declaration,' outlining India's strategy for advancing quantum and deep-tech technologies. Back in the 90s, we built Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad when my son Lokesh was in Class 7. Now, he's leading the next wave, Quantum,' Naidu said. 'We had to fight to deregulate telecom. Today, mobiles are more essential than food. Quantum is the next frontier, not just for adoption, but for leadership.' He said that technology and knowledge are the new tools of power. 'War is outdated. India must lead with collaboration and brainpower. Amaravati will be our launchpad for a global quantum footprint.' Naidu announced that the IBM 156-qubit Quantum System-2 will be installed in Amaravati in partnership with TCS, L&T, IITs, and Tokyo University.

Buy or sell: Vaishali Parekh recommends three stocks to buy today — 1 July 2025
Buy or sell stocks: After rising for three straight sessions, the key benchmark indices of the Indian stock market took a pause and ended lower on Monday. The Nifty 50 index ended 120 points lower at 25,517, the BSE Sensex finished 452 points lower at 83,606, while the Bank Nifty index went off 131 points and closed at 57,312. Leading the charge among the top performers on the Nifty were Trent, BEL, and SBI, showcasing notable resilience against the broader market's pullback. Conversely, Tata Consumers, Kotak Bank, and Axis Bank ended the session as major losers. On this final day of the June month, trading volumes on the NSE cash market were 3% lower compared to the average of the last ten days, indicating a slight moderation in activity. The Midcap and the Smallcap Indices bucked the trend, continuing their upward journey for the seventh day. Nifty Midcap 100 gained 0.60% while Nifty Smallcap 100 rose 0.52% to close at its highest levels since 02nd January. Market breadth remained positive for the fifth row, with advancing stocks outpacing declining ones, as indicated by a BSE advance-decline ratio of 1.36. Vaishali Parekh, Vice President of Technical Research at Prabhudas Lilladher, believes the Indian stock market sentiment is positive. However, the Nifty 50 index is facing a hurdle at the 25,650 zone. On breaking this hurdle on a closing basis, we can expect the 50-stock index to touch 26,200 soon. On the lower side, Nifty today has immediate support at 25,500, whereas it has crucial support at the 25,250 to 25,300 range. Speaking on the outlook for the Nifty 50 today, Vaishali Parekh said, "The Nifty 50 index witnessed a halt resisting near the 25,650 zone in the morning session and thereafter witnessed a gradual slide as the day progressed to end near the 25,500 zone with overall bias and sentiment maintained strong expecting for further rise in the coming days. As mentioned earlier, the index would have near-term support near the 25,250-25,300 zone. On the upside, with the strong undertone, the scope for higher targets of 25700 and 26200 levels is achievable, with bias and sentiment better placed." "The Bank Nifty index took a breather near the 57600 zone after the strong pick-up witnessed in the previous session and ended the day near the 57300 level with overall positive bias. The index continues to have important support near the 56000 zone, which needs to be sustained, and, on the upside, with the bias improving, can expect fresh targets of 58500 and 60000 levels in the coming days," said Parekh. Parekh said the immediate support for Nifty today is at 25400 levels, while the resistance is at 25,700. BankNifty would have a daily range of 57000-57800. Regarding stocks to buy today, Vaishali Parekh recommended buying TCS, Zen Tech, and UCO Bank, which are buy-or-sell stocks. 1] TCS: Buy at ₹ 3463, Target ₹ 3800, Stop Loss ₹ 3300; 2] Zen Tech: Buy at ₹ 1979, Target ₹ 2060, Stop Loss ₹ 1900; and 3] UCO Bank: Buy at ₹ 32, Target ₹ 36, Stop Loss ₹ 30. Andhra Tech Corridor To Take Quantum Leap Into Future Of Computing: 10 Points
New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh is set to become a global technology trailblazer with the launch of Quantum Valley, a futuristic technology corridor dedicated to quantum research and innovation. The initiative is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 1, 2026. Here are 10 points on Andhra's Quantum Valley project The project is being developed at a rapid pace under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who once conceptualised and built Cyberabad in Hyderabad. The Quantum Valley initiative also aligns with the National Quantum Mission introduced by the Centre in 2023, which has a financial allocation of Rs 6,000 crore. In contrast to conventional computers that operate using binary data (0 or 1), quantum computers use 'qubits', which have the capability to exist in multiple states at the same time due to the principle of superposition. The integration of entanglement allows quantum machines to efficiently process large datasets with remarkable speed. Developed nations acknowledge the significance of the quantum sector for advancing future research and demonstrating technological proficiency. The Institute for Quantum Computing, situated in Waterloo, Canada, is recognised as one of the foremost quantum research centres globally. China is at the forefront of advancements in quantum communication. With the launch of 'Micius', the world's first quantum satellite, China has successfully showcased the most secure method of data transmission ever accomplished on Earth. The Quantum Valley being developed in Amaravati holds the promise of achieving a significant position for India on the international quantum map. This is not merely a research hub; it has the potential to evolve into a global platform for uncovering quantum-based solutions, facilitated by the collaboration of education, industry, and startups. Hybrid computing, which integrates quantum and conventional systems, has the potential to produce substantial outcomes in areas including biology, materials science, and cryptography. Quantum computing will also have extensive applications ranging from electric vehicle batteries to the wider economy. The Andhra Pradesh State Quantum Mission will be implemented in two phases. The first will run from 2025 to 2027, and the second from 2027 to 2030. The first phase will focus on developing infrastructure, promoting education and research, and launching pilot programmes. The second phase will aim to position Andhra Pradesh as a global leader, with an emphasis on commercialization and enhancing export capabilities. Officials estimate that around Rs 4,000 crore will be spent on the mission over the next five years. A curtain raiser workshop was held in Vijayawada on June 25 with experts from companies like TCS and IBM. The chief minister's Secretary PS Pradyumna said quantum technology would soon enter everyday life faster than expected, delivering accurate and swift results. TCS advisor and National Quantum Mission member professor Anil Prabhakar said quantum technology would be immensely beneficial across sectors. He said research is already underway in different parts of the country and that quantum computing is playing a growing role in stock markets and cybersecurity.
