
Free Stagecoach South Wales bus travel for Armed Forces
This includes all local bus services from Friday, June 27, to Sunday, June 29.
The initiative allows members of the Armed Forces community to travel at no cost to parades, ceremonies, and community events in Wales.
To access the free travel, serving military personnel simply need to wear their uniform or show a valid military ID.
Veterans can present either a veterans' badge or a military medal.
This gesture is part of Stagecoach's ongoing commitment to recognising and supporting the Armed Forces.
Stagecoach South Wales's managing director Martin Gibbon said: "We're incredibly proud to support Armed Forces Day and recognise the important contributions of those who serve and have served.
"Providing free travel across South Wales is a small gesture to show our appreciation and help people attend local events to honour the Armed Forces community.
"We're also committed to being a supportive and inclusive employer for veterans and service families."
The company also provides free travel on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday each year, in honour of those who have served.
Stagecoach is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and continues to expand its internal Veterans Network.
This colleague-led group provides support for service leavers, veterans, reservists, and military families within the business.
Stagecoach's initiative is part of a broader nationwide commitment to the Armed Forces community.

The Red Arrows are taking to the skies today to commemorate Armed Forces Day. If you're hoping to catch a glimpse of the impressive displays, you might just be in luck today if you're on or near one of the flight paths. Red Arrows are Hawk T1 fast-jets, which can reach a maximum speed of 660mph, while they can exceed the speed of sound in a dive. And if you're lucky, you'll see them fly past today. The team, based in Lincolnshire, will fly before landing at Hurn Airport in Christchurch, Dorset. At 12.30 pm, they'll do their famous display over Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire, before flying past Kenwick Park in Louth at 1 pm. From there, they'll fly past Barrowden, Rutland, at 3.42 pm, before reaching Shuttleworth Festival of Flight in Bedfordshire for a display at 3.50 pm. They will fly past Cranwell around 4.25 pm, before finally passing Glinton at 6.38 pm. Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday each June to celebrate serving troops, but also their families, as well as veterans, reservists, and cadets. The No 10. leader made the visit yesterday to help mark Armed Forces Day today as he prepared to attend the Welsh Labour Party conference in Llandudno. Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday of June. It is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the UK's military units. The PM was joined at RAF Valley by Wales' First Minister Eluned Morgan MS and Welsh Secretary Jo Stevens MP. Today on Armed Forces Day there will be events to support serving personnel, service families, veterans and cadets. For the fourth year running, Armed Forces personnel and veterans will be able to claim their free breakfast in more than 300 stores to mark Armed Forces Day. The day itself is an annual event celebrated in late June to commemorate the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces. Originally called Veterans' Day, it was first observed in 2006. Although an official event, it is not a public holiday in the UK. The name was changed to Armed Forces Day in 2009.
