The NFL got a full taste of Wisconsin weather on the day before it launches the 2025 draft at Lambeau Field in Green Bay: In the morning, it was April, with thunder, lightning and rain, which caused the draft campus to be locked down for an hour. Later, it was June, with sunshine and temps in the high 60s. On draft day? Stay tuned.
The Green Room where the draft prospects will be is in the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
The immense Draft Theater, which looks even bigger from under its roof, is ready for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the 15 NFL prospects attending the draft in person, and the 15 fans from each of the 32 teams who have premier seating adjacent to the stage.
On April 26, some of the paid-for seats in the Draft Theater will be removed, allowing more fans to get under the draft roof and appreciate how really big it is.
The Draft Theater includes the stage, a viewing area for ticketed guests and then a general admission area for fans.
Fans also will have the opportunity to watch the red carpet event in which 15 future NFL players show their fashion sense and get the chance to realize they are about to achieve their dreams. Portions will be televised as part of NFL Network's 'NFL Draft Kickoff' with Kimmi Chex interviewing prospects.

It is the first red carpet on a field in the history of the draft, said Sebastian Martin of NFL Events.
The red carpet, in fact, is not red and it's not a carpet. It is synthetic turf with hash marks to resemble the adjacent football field, which is mostly off limits.

The red carpet event will be from 4-6 p.m. April 24 on the visitor sideline in the Lambeau Field bowl. Fans can sit in sections 217 to 227, about 2,000 of them, to watch the ceremony just below their seats. Fans who want to attend the ceremony can enter the Lambeau Field concourse through one of the available gates and make their way to the bowl. It's free, like most of the rest of the event.

Regular visitors to Lambeau Field will notice some changes. The Packers Pro Shop is now the NFL Shop. American Family Gate is the Green and Gold Gate, and so on, in deference to NFL sponsors. The draft is, from first to last, an NFL event, although it's taken great pains to highlight Green Bay, Packers and Wisconsin culture.

At a ribbon-cutting for the Packers Everywhere Draft Haus, Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy said dive bars, which the Draft Haus honors, "are also very popular places to watch Packers games. It allows NFL fans from near and far to immerse themselves in Wisconsin traditions and culture, and enjoy the quintessential dive bar environment right here inside the draft campus."

Packers fan engagement manager Haylee Becker said pull tabs and shake of the day would be available inside, dive bar staples. "If you are not familiar with those games, welcome to Wisconsin. We'll show you how to play them."
Packers alumni also will make appearances at the Draft Haus, as they will at other venues around the stadium.
The Draft Haus bar is in the Draft Experience area.
The Packers and the NFL project that attendance will be 250,000 over the three days. That is not 250,000 unique individuals, People are counted every time they enter the campus.
"Our OnePass numbers are great. They are climbing every day," said Nicki Ewell, senior director of events for the NFL. She did not, however, say what those numbers are. That's reserved for Goodell from the stage. "I don't want everybody to get hung up on attendance. Detroit (which had a record 775,000 attendance) was a very urban setting in the heart of a really big city."

Ewell said much of the labor to construct and hold the draft are locally hired. The NFL will employ some 2,200 people for the draft.

Chicago also signed center Drew Dalman, defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. Now, it looks like the Bears are still open to making more moves to improve the roster. According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Chicago recently met with veteran free agent wide receiver D.J. Chark. Chark recently spoke out about his NFL future in an interview with Kyle Odegard of Sports Casting. "It depends," Chark said. "It will have to be something that makes sense, from a family perspective and also from an X's and O's perspective. Getting up and going to any team just for the excitement -- I'll always love the game, but at this point, putting myself and my family in a great position is what's ideal for me." Last season, Chark played for the Los Angeles Chargers. He appeared in seven games throughout the 2024 campaign. Should the Bears sign Chark, he likely would not have a huge role. Chicago has Rome Odunze, D.J. Moore, and Luther Burden III already penciled in as their top three wide receivers. ESPN roster rankings: New Orleans Saints are NFL's worst team in 2025
It'll take some big 'ifs' to prove them wrong This isn't a good look for the New Orleans Saints. ESPN's Mike Clay, Seth Walder, and Aaron Schatz ranked every starting lineup in the NFL going into the 2025 season, and they agreed on one thing -- the Saints are, on paper, the worst team in the league. A lot of Saints fans would tell you the team's edge rushers are their biggest weakness, at least defensively. ESPN argues that's the best position group for New Orleans, and things only go downhill from there. Here's why Clay says the Saints' quarterback situation is their worst vulnerability: Derek Carr's sudden retirement has left the Saints in rebuild mode under center. Second-round rookie Tyler Shough is the best bet to emerge as a viable starter, and perhaps he'll be more pro-ready than most first-year QBs, considering he's 25 years old. Recent Day 3 fliers Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener struggled in relief of Carr last season. That's a valid take. Shough, Rattler, and Haener have combined for seven starts and no wins in the NFL. While Carr wasn't a top-10 quarterback by any measure, he did give the team some kind of baseline at the game's most important position. Working with total unknowns is concerning. But that's not all. So much of the Saints' hopes in fielding a competent offense (led by an inexperience quarterback) relies on solid protection up front. While New Orleans does have two first-round picks invested in their starting offensive tackles, Walder suggests things could go either way: Tackles Kelvin Banks Jr. and Taliese Fuaga. The latter struggled in pass protection as a rookie at left tackle, recording an 84% pass block win rate that ranked 57th out of 66 qualifying tackles. But this season, Fuaga is moving to his college position of right tackle. If he can improve, and if Banks can be decent in Year 1, the Saints could be looking at a long future with their tackles in place. Those are big "ifs," though. Maybe they're right and the Saints are about to trot out the NFL's worst roster with the league's youngest head coach, which could be a recipe for disaster. Maybe they're wrong to be so down on New Orleans. The Saints may have a thin depth chart, but we've seen enough big-time plays from this group in recent years to believe they can compete with anyone and win anywhere. That doesn't mean they're world-beaters primed for a Super Bowl run. It just means that writing them off in July might look silly come December.

Bengals owner expresses optimism in Trey Hendrickson contract saga: ‘We will get it done'
The Trey Hendrickson contract saga with the Bengals could finally be close to the finish line. Bengals owner Mike Brown spoke to the media Monday about the ongoing contract drama between the team and its All-Pro edge rusher on the eve of mandatory training camp. 'We will get it done at some point, I think,' Brown told reporters. 'I think we are in a good spot. I hope this thing comes together soon.' 4 Trey Hendrickson has disputed with the Bengals for his contract throughout the entire offseason. AP Hendrickson is currently under a one-year, $15.8 million contract — much to his displeasure. The 30-year-old led the NFL last season with 17.5 sacks, was named First Team All-Pro and was second in Defensive Player of the Year voting, only behind Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II. Hendrickson has had at least 13.5 sacks in four of his last five seasons and has made the Pro Bowl for four straight seasons. The All-Pro edge rusher has been outspoken about his desire for a new contract, and Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt's record-breaking three-year, $123 million extension last week certainly added fuel to Hendrickson's fire. 4 Trey Hendrickson has totaled 35 sacks across the last two seasons. AP Hendrickson has criticized the Bengals' lack of communication, expressed unwillingness to play under his current deal and skipped voluntary workouts. His decision to miss mandatory minicamp in June resulted in fines totaling more than $100,000. But as badly as Hendrickson wants his new contract, Brown would like to retain the superstar. 'We are not going to trade Trey. We are working on getting it done,' he said. 4 Hendrickson takes down former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Bill Kostroun/New York Post Clearly, one side will have to budge. 'We've been through a few — and he pushes hard, he gets emotional,' Brown said of the negotiations with Hendrickson. 'We never have an easy time of it. And if there's one thing that is consistent, it always gets done. I think this one will too.' While Cincinnati has awarded long-term deals to quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, the contract disputes with defenders appear to be becoming a theme. 4 Hendrickson spoke to reporters in May about his contract dispute. AP Bengals draft pick and fellow defensive end Shemar Stewart is the only first-rounder still unsigned since the 2025 NFL Draft in April. 'He needs to be here. I would encourage him to be here,' Bengals executive Duke Tobin said. 'He's listening to the advice he's paying for (from his agents). I don't understand the advice … We're treating him fairly.'
