During the demonstration, Etala Rajender expressed his support for the residents. He promised to actively advocate against the government regarding the dumping yard, committing to work hard to secure justice for the community.
The event also saw the participation of District Convener Dr. S. Mallareddy, State Mahila Morcha President Shilpa Reddy, District Vice President Adireddy Rajireddy, RWAJAC - Machhabollaram members, and other community members.

One was a Kalash filled with sacred water from the River Sarayu, revered in Hindu tradition and believed to bring peace, purity, and prosperity. Flowing through Ayodhya--the birthplace of Lord Ram--the river holds immense significance, and the metal Kalash embodies sanctity and abundance. The second was a silver replica of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, crafted by artisans from Uttar Pradesh. BJP MLA for temporary closure of liquor, meat shops on kanwar routes
New Delhi: Delhi BJP MLA Tarvinder Singh Marwah has written to Union home minister Amit Shah, requesting him to temporarily shut all liquor and meat shops on the routes of the kanwar yatra, which is scheduled to start next week. Hindu Sena's national president, Vishnu Gupta, has also urged chief minister Rekha Gupta to close all meat shops and slaughterhouses along these roads. In his letter to Shah, Marwah, who represents Jangpura assembly constituency, stated that a temporary ban on liquor and meat shops would ensure the piety of the kanwar yatra and prevent any possible untoward incident. "We appeal that meat and liquor shops on the designated routes of the kanwar yatra are temporarily shut down so that its sanctity is maintained and there are no untoward incidents," wrote Marwah, who is also a member of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Responding to a question on the state-of-affairs in the state, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the RSS Sunil Ambekar said when a situation deteriorates somewhere things do not change overnight. New Delhi: Amidst ongoing concerns over the current situation in Manipur, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Monday said the state is witnessing normalcy returning gradually. Speaking to ThePrint later in the day, Ambekar said that since the beginning, RSS workers have been carrying out social work for the community while engaging in a dialogue with both sides. 'Sangh functionaries have been engaged in social work as well as being in a dialogue (samvad) as far as Manipur is concerned and things have improved in the past few months,' he added. Speaking to ThePrint, an RSS functionary said the organisation has been carrying out several outreach initiatives to engage diverse sections of society. Manipur witnessed prolonged unrest following the outbreak of violence in May 2023. The ethnic conflict has claimed over 200 lives and displaced over 60,000 people. It has led to a complete segregation of the two main communities in the state—predominantly the Meiteis and the Kukis. While the Kukis have fled the Imphal Valley, where the Meiteis live, the latter have left their homes and fled from the hills, where the Kukis live. The deteriorating law and order situation led the Centre to impose President's Rule in February this year. The state assembly, though, was not dissolved but put in suspended animation for 6 months. The President's Rule remains in effect till 12 August. If a government is not installed by then, the Centre can extend it for a maximum of 3 years with parliamentary approvals every 6 months. Highlighting the plan and programmes for the centenary year of the RSS, Ambekar said such issues were discussed in the 'Pranth Pracharak' meeting held from 4 to 6 July. 'During the centenary year, Hindu conferences will be organised at the mandal level in rural areas and the colony level in urban areas with the participation of all sections of the society. At present, there are 58,964 mandals and 44,055 colonies in the country as per the Sangh Rakhshan. In Hindu conferences, topics like festivals of the society, social unity and harmony, and Panch-Parivartan will be discussed,' Ambekar said. Similarly, social harmony meetings will be organised in 11,360 blocks/cities to promote harmony in the society. 'Major citizen seminars will be organised in 924 districts of the country. Topics like India's idea, India's pride, India's self, etc., will be discussed in the seminars,' he added.
