An urgent search has been launched for a missing hiker after he failed to arrive at a meeting spot after he was dropped off for a camping trip.
Christopher Moore, 38, was last seen on Twelve Mile Road at Jerrawangala, roughly 32km south of Nowra, about 10.30am on Wednesday.
He had been dropped off for a camping trip and was due to be collected at the same place on Friday, NSW Police said.
But Mr Moore never arrived at the meeting spot.
South Coast police were notified and launched an investigation.
Christopher is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of thin build with short light brown hair, a beard and a moustache.
He was last seen wearing khaki and black pants and a khaki hooded jumper.
Mr Moore is believed to be in the Jerrawangala or Wandandian areas with officers and his family concerned for his welfare.
A coordinated search was launched at 8am on Saturday involving South Coast Police, Police Rescue, and members of the SES and Rural Fire Service.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact Nowra Police or Crime Stoppers.

Greens call for investigation into NSW police arrest that injured former candidate

A Greens MP is demanding an independent investigation into NSW police arrests at a protest that resulted in a former candidate being taken to hospital with serious facial injuries. Sue Higginson is calling for a critical incident to be declared after Hannah Thomas – who ran against Anthony Albanese in the Sydney electorate of Grayndler – sustained facial injuries during arrest at a Friday protest outside a business in Belmore accused of 'supplying electroplating and surface coating services for a variety of applications including aerospace and defence technology' to Israel. In a letter sent to the state's police watchdog, commissioner for police, and minister for police on Saturday – seen by Guardian Australia – Higginson labelled the policing of the protest 'excessive, unnecessary, and potentially constitute an unlawful exercise of authority to intimidate'. She called for an investigation 'to avoid further horrific instances of innocent people being seriously injured'. 'Having witnessed the grievous injuries caused by the police to Hannah Thomas, spoken to on ground witnesses who witnessed what occurred, and with the knowledge that Hannah has experienced serious injuries and hospitalisation, I am calling for a critical incident to be declared urgently,' the letter said. Police on Friday said Thomas, 35, sustained facial injuries during the arrest and was taken to Bankstown hospital for treatment. Sign up for Guardian Australia's breaking news email A photo of Thomas online showed her eye swollen shut and with blood on her face before she was taken for surgery. Video of the incident, which Higginson shared on social media on Friday afternoon, showed multiple police dragging one of the protesters, as onlookers repeatedly shouted 'get off her' and 'let go of her'. In a statement on Friday, police said: 'As police attempted to arrest the protesters who were not complying with the directions, a scuffle ensued between police and protesters, during which a police body worn camera was taken by an unknown protester.' Higginson had on Friday said the protest was peaceful and claimed Thomas was the 'victim of brutal excessive force by the police'. 'The prognosis provided to family earlier was that they could not tell the extent of her injuries until there was a full examination because the swelling was too severe and that it was possible she may lose vision in that eye.' 'That she may have sustained injuries to the bones of her face, but nothing has been confirmed at this point.' According to police, officers issued a move-on direction to the protesters at about 5.30am on Friday. The force alleged the protest, which attracted between 50 and 60 people, was 'unauthorised', as those involved had not given advanced notice nor submitted a form that protected them from being charged under anti-protest laws. Thomas allegedly declined to comply with the order and was forcibly removed and arrested. In NSW, people who wish to stage a protest must lodge paperwork – known as a 'notice of intention to hold a public assembly' – with the police commissioner in advance of the demonstration for it to be considered lawful. The state's permit system has previously come under fire for being 'undemocratic', with the Minns Labor government urged to scrap it for a human rights charter like those which exist in Victoria and Queensland. Higginson's Saturday letter suggested the incident occurred 'due to the political decisions taken by the Minns Government, in continuing to pass unnecessary laws that target and vilify peaceful protest and non-violent civil disobedience'. 'This has caused officers of the NSW police to feel empowered and protected to go beyond the powers that the law bestows on them,' she wrote. All five people arrested on Friday were granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown local court on 15 July. NSW police, the NSW law enforcement conduct commission (Lecc) and the office of the state minister for police were contacted for comment. Earlier this year an international campaign urged F-35 fighter jet producing nations to stop supplying Israel. SEC Plating told Guardian Australia on Friday that: 'we have no involvement in providing plating services for various parts used in the F-35 Jet program'. 'We do not have any business servicing F-35 components,' they added. 'We do have business servicing some Australian defence manufactures however F-35 components are not part of this.'

EXCLUSIVE The chilling final call Beauty and the Geek star made to her sister before she allegedly murdered her boyfriend

The sister of former Beauty and the Geek star Tamika Chesser has shared details of the final phone call they shared before the 34-year-old was charged with murder. Chesser was arrested on June 19 after police responded to reports of a small fire at the Port Lincoln home she shared with 39-year-old Julian Daniel Story. But when emergency services arrived, they found Mr Story dismembered and missing his head on the bathroom floor of the apartment. Chesser was arrested at the scene and charged with murder. She is currently being held in James Nash House, a mental health facility. The reality star's sister, Kiya-May Chesser, told Daily Mail Australia on Saturday her family were reeling from reports their loved one had been charged. 'Please report how my sister is in a mental psychosis,' Kiya-May said. 'This is not her... She would never do these things.' Kiya-May added that Chesser had experienced a 'life of trauma and abuse, and now this - it has fried her brain'. 'She called me on the 10th of this month to save her animals because one pooed on the floor… he's a drug cook and not in a good mind space himself. 'In their short time together we would be on the phone to her while he was going off in the background. There is more to this story.' Kiya-May said 'a lot has happened' in Chesser's life since she appeared on Beauty and the Greek and 'in the past five years she's become very mentally ill'. 'This is a loss not only for Julian's family but ours too,' she said. In addition to the murder charge, Chesser was also charged with assaulting police and with knowingly performing an act or omission intending to result in human remains being less likely to be found for the purposes of concealing the commission of an offence relating to the human remains, court documents state. Detective Darren Fielke told a press conference it was 'crucial' Mr Story's head was returned to his family so they could hold a funeral. 'We have not recovered the head of Julian Story,' he told reporters. Police released CCTV images and video which showed Chesser walking three dogs and carrying a bag while apparently wearing a Hijab-style head covering. In an effort to find Mr Story's head, officers are appealing to the public for help in tracking Chesser's movements in the week of the alleged murder, particularly between midnight on Tuesday night (June 17) and the report of the fire at 3.30 pm on Thursday afternoon (June 19). 'We know that Tamika did not drive a vehicle and regularly walked around the township of Port Lincoln,' Det Fielke said. A spokesperson for Mr Story's family thanked police and first responders for their 'compassion and professionalism during this devastating time'. 'We are navigating an unimaginable loss, and your care has brought comfort amid the chaos,' the spokesperson said. 'We are also deeply grateful to our family and friends and this extraordinary community whose kindness and support have helped carry us through. Your prayers, presence, and quiet strength mean more than words can say.' A neighbour noticed black smoke coming from the property about 1.30pm on June 19 and asked Chesser, who appeared outside, what she was doing. 'Nothing,' she allegedly replied, before taking her dogs for a walk. The neighbour grew concerned about the fire and took a bucket of water over to the home, entering through the back door, the documents state. Police will allege Chesser murdered Mr Story around midnight on June 17. Chesser sported a shaved head as she appeared in court via a video link from James Nash House, a mental health facility, at a suppression order hearing on Friday. She first appeared in court last week, where she was refused bail. A committal hearing has been scheduled for December. Chesser was the runner-up on the 2010 season of Beauty and the Geek and later modelled for men's magazines including Playboy, Ralph and FHM.
