BREAKING NEWS Desperate search for missing camper at Jerrawangala continues as authorities race against the clock
A desperate search for a missing camper who disappeared in NSW bushland has entered its third day. Christopher Moore, 38, failed to return home from a camping trip at Jerrawangala, about 32km south of Nowra, on Friday. He had been dropped off on Wednesday and did not arrive at his pick-up spot two days later. An urgent search was launched with authorities focusing their efforts around the Jerrawangala and Wandandian regions. South Coast Police, Police Rescue, and members of the SES, Polair, and NSW Rural Fire Service have all joined in on the search. Fears have been raised a low-pressure system could bring heavy rain and gale force winds and hamper the search on Tuesday. more to come

Urgent search launched for missing hiker after he failed to arrive at a meeting spot near Nowra, NSW
An urgent search has been launched for a missing hiker after he failed to arrive at a meeting spot after he was dropped off for a camping trip. Christopher Moore, 38, was last seen on Twelve Mile Road at Jerrawangala, roughly 32km south of Nowra, about 10.30am on Wednesday. He had been dropped off for a camping trip and was due to be collected at the same place on Friday, NSW Police said. But Mr Moore never arrived at the meeting spot. South Coast police were notified and launched an investigation. Christopher is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of thin build with short light brown hair, a beard and a moustache. He was last seen wearing khaki and black pants and a khaki hooded jumper. Mr Moore is believed to be in the Jerrawangala or Wandandian areas with officers and his family concerned for his welfare. A coordinated search was launched at 8am on Saturday involving South Coast Police, Police Rescue, and members of the SES and Rural Fire Service. Anyone with information has been urged to contact Nowra Police or Crime Stoppers.

Man dead and another fighting for his life after a tragic car rollover
The passenger of a sedan has died after the car lost control on the south coast of New South Wales. Emergency services were called to Sapphire Coast Drive at Tura Beach, roughly 252km from Canberra, at about 7.30pm on Saturday after reports of a vehicle rollover. Officers attached to the South Coast Police District were told a white sedan had allegedly lost control before it rolled. Paramedics at the scene treated the driver, a man believed to be in his 30s, and his passenger, a man believed to be in his 40s. Both in a critical condition, they were taken to South East Regional Hospital in Bega. The driver was later airlifted to Canberra Hospital for specialist care. Just after 11pm on the same day, police were told the passenger, who is yet to be formally identified, had died at the hospital. A crime scene was established and officers have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
