Forecasters in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have upgraded their warnings ahead of heavy rainfall on Sunday night into Monday. An amber warning for heavy rain has been issued for eastern parts of Northern Ireland overnight. The Met Office alert - which is the second highest level - for Antrim, Down, and Armagh lasts from 23:00 BST on Sunday until 08:00 on Monday. It comes in the middle of a yellow warning for the same counties which runs from 18:00 BST on Sunday until 18:00 BST on Monday. Some areas could see between 50-75 mm of rain in a short amount of time, with a risk of flash floods.
