Sean "Diddy" Combs drops to his knees, prays after verdict is read
Moments after the verdict was read, Combs fell to his knees and prayed in court, leaning on his chair.
How did Combs react when the verdict was read?
"Sean Combs pumped his fist at one point when they said that first 'not guilty.' When the jury foreperson, that's juror number five, was the one who was reading the verdict, he pumped his fist," CBS News New York's Alice Gainer said. "After the verdict was read and once everyone, the judge and the jury left the courtroom, man, the applause was thunderous from his family."

Combs' three daughters, his sons, his mother, other family and friends and supporters were in the courtroom Wednesday.
"They were just cheering, he was clapping. And it's such an interesting visual, because again, he's by the defense table. It's not like he can run up and hug them, he's not a free man, he was convicted of two of the five counts," Gainer said.
Combs' mother gave a thumbs up outside court.

High interest surrounding the case
Gainer has covered numerous high-profile cases, such as Harvey Weinsten and many other. But she said the Combs trial garnered a different level of interest.
"There's just so much going on, and there's such huge interest in this case. It's like nothing I've ever seen before, actually," Gainer said. "I get asked so many questions, people on social media are so interested, they are following me now to try and see our daily updates we've been posting on Instagram."
"I've never seen crowds of this magnitude throughout the trial -- not just at openings or closings and verdict day. There's been a steady stream of people here curious about it, like I said before, streaming about it, giving their own personal takes on what's been going on. They had to set up multiple overflow rooms at one point just to make sure they could meet the demand. Because not everyone could get into the main courtroom, so they have these overflow rooms set up with a feed of what's going on in the main courtroom that people can then watch themselves," Gainer added.
The NYPD set up barricades outside court to help control crowds after the verdict was read.

Downtown mass shooting leaves 2 dead, 5 injured hours after firework celebration
This is a developing story and will update. Two people are dead and five others injured following a mass shooting in downtown Indianapolis July 5, just hours after thousands gathered for a fireworks show. At least three of the seven shot around 1:30 a.m. on West Washington Street and South Illinois Street were juveniles, one of whom died at an area hospital, officials from the Indianapolis Police Department said. Another person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were also taken to area hospitals by first responders in unknown condition. A fifth person walked into a local hospital and is in stable condition. At a news conference outside Monument Circle, IMPD Chief Chris Bailey appeared visibly upset as he scolded parents for continuing to allow their children out at night unsupervised. Hundreds of unsupervised juveniles were out downtown after the fireworks ended, he said. "Parents and guardians have got to step up," Bailey said. "A kid is dead tonight. And we just don't know the age of the young man down the street, still here, dead. But he looks young." Police were responding to another fight when they heard gunshots one block away. When they arrived, they found several people shot, IMPD officials said. Seven were detained for questioning, and multiple guns were recovered, officials said. Bailey said last night was a scene of frequent conflict despite the presence of hundreds of officers from IMPD, state police and Capitol police. Officers made about 20 arrests and recovered guns from two children before the mass shooting happened, he said. One juvenile had an assault rifle stuffed in the front of his pants, officials said. Indiana police union leader Rick Snyder compared the shooting to a storm's arrival and said the inaction of local elected leaders caused the deaths. At least eight others were injured in shootings in the past 24 hours across Indianapolis, police said. This is Indianapolis' second weekend of violence, following last weekend's shootings that left seven dead and nine injured. "They went after my pension"- Horace Grant claims a child support agency used a fake judge to steal his money
"They went after my pension"- Horace Grant claims a child support agency used a fake judge to steal his money originally appeared on Basketball Network. Former Chicago Bulls forward Horace Grant had a productive 17-year NBA career, during which he scored 12,996 career points and pulled down 9,443 career rebounds, winning four NBA titles. Off the court, Grant also had a productive personal life, which was marked by two marriages, a baby mama, and eight total children. Having multiple affairs and children from different mothers has put Horace in trouble, at least financially. During an undated appearance on the "Child Support is a Fraud" podcast, Grant detailed how he was defrauded by a child support agency. "This is what the child support agency tried to do to me," explained Grant. "It's called a 'quadro' — qualified domestic relationship order. They went after my pension. Here's the kicker: If they didn't have a signed affidavit by a judge in 180 days, the quadro is void. Here's the catch. A hundred eight days passed, no judge signed. They didn't have anything. Next thing you know, two weeks later, a judge signed, and we got to keep it frozen. Take a guess who that judge was. Her name is Erin M. Childs, was in my divorce. She was the fake judge in my divorce." Albeit his success in the NBA, Grant had a rather messy life off the court. He married Donna Weaver in 1988 and filed for divorce in 1992. A year later, Donna went to court to prevent Horace from stating he was single while their divorce was pending. In 1996, two years after his divorce was finalized, the power forward bore a daughter with a woman named Ann Gore, as the two had a child support battle. In 2003, Horace married Andrea Grant, and they settled down in California, where she is from. Ten years ago, the former Clemson star professed his love for his then-wife of 13 years on Valentine's Day. No news about the couple is available online, but in 2023, Grant was a defendant in case 2:23-cv-05803 filed by one Andrea Maria Grant, which could indicate trouble in paradise once again for the ex-Bulls star. Horace did not mention which of his children the child support issue that involved the freezing of his pension was about. However, since he mentioned the name of the "fake judge," the attorney he named is a judge from San Obispo County in California who was a Family Law Commissioner for the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County from January 2017 to December 2022, and an AB 1058 Commissioner for the Fresno County Superior Court for 10 months prior to the "Child Support is a Fraud" podcast, where Grant made his revelation, is hosted by Lionel "TJ" Tillman, the author of the book "How I Stopped Child Support". Tillman claims he got his child support case dismissed after pointing out legal loopholes in state and federal laws. Tillman is probably the reason why Grant labeled attorney Erin Childs as a "fake judge" because TJ always uses that term while explaining why child support is a fraud. "Child support is an administrative hearing. They are not judicial officers. So, family court, when you go through child custody, visitation and things of that nature, that's a judicial process. But when you go to child support, that's an administrative process…28 USC 1691 says all writs and processes issued from a court in the United States must be under the seal of the court and signed by the clerk thereof. An attorney cannot issue a judicial order. This is not my opinion. This is facts…These fake judges in these hearings they are attorneys acting as a temporary judge. So the fact that a fake judge issued you judgement, that makes it fraud because an attorney can't issue a money judgement," said Tillman on the "Inside the Vault" podcast. Horace made a total of $67.9 million during his 17-year NBA career, and it's sad to hear him talk about how child support battles are starting to affect his finances. However, then again, Grant has eight kids with three different women, which is never easy to deal story was originally reported by Basketball Network on Jul 5, 2025, where it first appeared.
