Trent Alexander-Arnold pays tribute to ‘amazing man' Diogo Jota
Liverpool forward Jota died along with his brother, Andre Silva, following a car accident in Spain on Thursday.
Alexander-Arnold is currently at the Club World Cup in the United States with new side Real Madrid having left Anfield at the end of their title-winning 2024-25 season.

Speaking after Real's quarter-final victory over Borussia Dortmund in New York on Saturday, Alexander-Arnold told DAZN: 'Some things are bigger than the game.
'It has been difficult but it's been very emotional, very heart-warming to see the footballing world uniting and come together to show their love and support to him and his family, and obviously his brother as well.
'So although it's been difficult, it's also been a nice showing out from everyone, all clubs, all people, uniting and showing love and support for what must be a mind-blowingly hard time for the family.
'I've been in and around him and his brother, his family, his amazing wife, his parents, his amazing three children.

'It's truly, truly heartbreaking to wake up to news like that. It's something that you would never, ever expect.
'He was a very close friend, someone who lit up a room when he was in it. I shared the dressing room (with him) for five years (and have) amazing memories on and off the pitch with him.
'It goes without saying he will never be forgotten by anyone. He will live long in all our memories for the amazing man and player he was.'

Bayern Munich confirm Jamal Musiala out for long period with leg fracture
Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala sustained a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle during Saturday's Club World Cup clash with Paris St Germain. The 22-year-old was taken off the pitch on a stretcher following a collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Goals from Desire Doue and substitute Ousmane Dembele saw the Bundesliga champions beaten 2-0 by the French outfit, who were reduced to nine men after Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez were sent off late on. A Bayern statement on Sunday read: "Jamal Musiala suffered a serious injury during the Club World Cup quarter-final between Bayern and Paris St Germain in the USA and had to be substituted at half-time. "Examinations by the German champions' doctors have revealed that the attacking midfielder sustained a fracture of the fibula associated with a broken and dislocated ankle. "The 22-year-old flew from Orlando to Munich on Sunday morning and will undergo surgery soon." Bayern boss Vincent Kompany said in his post-match press conference that his blood was "still boiling" that the incident had happened to a player like Musiala. He said: "It was tough. I've rarely been so angry at half-time - not against my players. There's many things in life that are important, much more important than this, but in the end for these guys it's their life. "Someone like Jamal lives for this, he came back from a setback (injury) and then it happens in the way it happens and you feel powerless. "The team was fighting and I think the second half, we were just starting to edge the game, and it looked like it could happen any time for us. "You try to get strength out of it because you want to do it for Jamal but when I'm sat here next to you now, the thing that gets my blood still boiling at the moment is not the result, I understand this is football. "It's the fact that it happened to someone that, one, enjoys the game so much but is also very important for us." Seamus Coleman's touching show of respect to Diogo Jota speaks volumes
A football fan has told of a touching encounter with Ireland captain Seamus Coleman in the wake of Diogo Jota's tragic death. The football world has united in mourning this week after it emerged on Thursday that Liverpool star Jota and his brother Andre lost their lives in a car crash in Zamora, Spain. The devastating accident has touched fans and clubs across all divides, including the Merseyside rivalry between Liverpool and Everton. Everton manager David Moyes, assistant manager Alan Irvine, and Portuguese-born players Youssef Chermiti and Beto have also visited Anfield to pay their respects in recent days. And it would come as no surprise to Ireland and Everton fans that Coleman visited Anfield to pay his respects in a very classy manner. A Liverpool fan wrote on social media: "Quarter past 11 on a Friday night and Seamus Coleman turned up to pay his respects. "I said to him, 'I am red me, Seamus, it means a lot that you are turning up at this hour.' "He says to me, 'Sorry for your loss, lad, I just wanted to pay my respects on my own without any cameras and fuss'. "Touched me that has, one of the most genuine fellas I've met." Coleman played against Jota many times in his career, both when Jota lined out for Liverpool and for his former club, Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Donegal man's Irish teammate Caoimhin Kelleher was among those to pay heartfelt tributes to Jota. Kelleher and the Portuguese forward were close friends when playing together at Liverpool. The Corkman wrote: "Jots. Can't believe I'm writing this right now and I'm finding it hard to put into words. I'm absolutely devastated by this news," he wrote. 'You became one of my closest friends in football. We bonded over all things sports watching any football match we could find often your brother Andre's game on your iPad. It was a such a pleasure to get to know you over these years and to share some special memories on the pitch and even more so off it.
