'Don't swear because it's going to ruin the TV show': WWE requests fans to refrain from swearing at live events
WWE is currently working to clean up the crowd noise in a literal sense. To uphold its family-friendly image and comply with the broadcast and censorship rules, WWE is reportedly requesting and asking fans to refrain from swearing during live televised events.
This initiative aligns with the company's longstanding commitment to TV-PG programming, which emphasizes content suitable for a broad audience, including children. The move comes after increasing concerns over the use of explicit language from both performers and audiences.
The use of strong language during live broadcasts has highlighted the challenges WWE faces in maintaining its PG standards. Such instances have led to network interventions, including muting audio and censoring visuals, and this step is required for the company to comply with television broadcasting guidelines, owing to its target audience.
WWE requests fans to refrain from swearing at live events
WWE has reportedly asked fans to refrain from swearing at live events to maintain broadcasting compliance. This is not the first time that the company has decided to take such an important step to ask people to avoid profanity.
Earlier,
WWE
addressed this issue by holding mandatory meetings with talent, reminding them to be mindful of their language on camera, and now it is expecting the same from its fans, too.
In a recent episode of
Wrestling Observer Radio
,
Dave Meltzer
asserted that the company has discussed possibly asking fans in attendance at televised events to refrain from swearing during the show.

Meltzer said, 'People have actually suggested this, of just like making an announcement of, 'Hey, we're here. It's a TV show. It's going all over the world. We want you to have fun, don't swear because it's going to ruin the TV show.''
While nothing has been officially implemented, Meltzer revealed that the idea has been brought up behind the scenes. He explained that WWE is concerned about inappropriate language being picked up on live broadcasts that air around the world.
'Hey Rock, Go F*** Yourself!'
He further stated that, 'In the past, if they had done that, the audience would have then started swearing because they wouldn't want to be controlled. But I think this audience is mature enough and smart enough and everything like that that if you told them that I think they might be okay with it.'
Meltzer also stated that nothing has been officially declared yet by the company. 'That is something that has been suggested, I know that, but they don't do it so you're going to have that stuff,' he noted.

Shefali Jariwala demise: When Parag Tyagi revealed how much he missed his wife during Bigg Boss 13; shared 'When she was away, the house would feel empty'
Kaanta Laga fame Shefali Jariwala's sudden demise has left her family and friends devastated. They are still reeling from the shock and struggling to come to terms with the heartbreaking loss. Shefali's husband, Parag Tyagi, now shattered by her tragic demise, had once opened up about how difficult it was to be away from his wife during her time in the Bigg Boss house. In a throwback interview with Times of India TV, Parag had shared how deeply he missed her presence and how emotionally challenging it was to stay apart On the occasion of Valentine's Day, Parag spoke about badly missing Shefali when she was inside the Bigg Boss 13 house, "Sometimes we become very content with our life. I always felt I love Shefali, but never knew how much I love her or the amount of love I have in my heart for her. When she went inside the Bigg Boss house I realised it. When she was away from me, I missed her at each and every moment. The house was empty without her. I missed her the most when I had a few good things to share and she was not with me. I used to be awake the entire night thinking how to tell her. I used to share with my parents, but I have always shared everything with her and she was not there," he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Abiti in una casa indipendente? He said, "I feel supporting each other is also very important. Our society is such that a wife always gets happy for her husband's success, but the husband doesn't appreciate his wife's success. I think that should change. I feel very happy when people address me as Shefali Jariwala's husband. I get excited when she does a good project or when she bagged Bigg Boss 13. I have also done a lot of work, but nothing makes me happier than being addressed as Sheafli's husband. It makes me proud, I am getting goosebumps right now." Shefali tragically passed away on June 27 at her Mumbai home. Parag immediately rushed her to the hospital, but sadly, the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
