But when Adams took the field, he was working with the linebackers instead. The 6-1, 213-pounder is trying to make a comeback after splitting last season between the Titans and the Lions' practice squad. And his former Seahawks head coach sees a change of positions is the best way to accomplish that.
"I told him right off the bat, I want him to play inside," Carroll said of Adams. "He's always been so instinctive and so aggressive and such a run-through guy, been a fantastic blitzer over his time. So, I want to put him in position to do that. So, he's jumped right into the WILL spot, and that gives us some flexibility that we're going to grow with. He looks really good. He had a real serious injury a bit ago. He looks like he's back. Weighing a little bit more than he was before, he fit just right. I'm really anxious to see how he takes it."
Linebacker has also been completely overhauled this offseason for the Raiders. Former starters Robert Spillane and Divine Deablo were allowed to leave in free agency. They then seemingly replaced them with former Steelers MLB Elandon Roberts and former Bucs OLB Devin White.
Now both Roberts and White have some competition with the additions of Adams and former Bengals LB Germaine Pratt.

Bills' Joey Bosa gives positive injury update
Buffalo Bills pass rusher Joey Bosa is feeling upbeat about his injury situation early on in his career in western New York. Bosa, 30, came to Buffalo after a few injury filled years with the Los Angeles Chargers. A calf injury happened early during his first season in Buffalo's minicamp. Even so, Bosa gave himself a clean bill of heath during Bills training camp. "I feel great," Bosa said. Last year I felt great, but this year I feel tip top." Following the Bills' decision to release Von Miller, Bosa was signed to provide the veteran presence on Buffalo's defensive line. The Bills are hoping Bosa can re-gain his health and Pro Bowl status. From the outside looking in, head coach Sean McDermott gave a positive update on Bosa from training camp as well. Dolphins, Minkah Fitzpatrick agree to revised deal including $16 million signing bonus
The Miami Dolphins have signed Minkah Fitzpatrick to a revised contract, adding a $16.245 million signing bonus to the Pro Bowl safety's deal, agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed to The Athletic. Prior to the restructure, Fitzpatrick, who was scheduled to receive a base salary of $15.5 million this season, according to had no guaranteed money left on the remaining two years of his contract, which runs through 2026. No additional years were added. ESPN was first to report the deal. Advertisement The Dolphins re-acquired Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round draft pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers last month in a trade for All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith, along with a 2027 seventh-round draft selection. Fitzpatrick had become one of the NFL's top and highest-paid safeties in Pittsburgh, with whom he signed a four-year, $72.988 million deal in 2022. The 28-year-old safety recently signed on with Rosenhaus as his agent. Miami originally drafted Fitzpatrick with the No. 11 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Steelers the following season, where he earned first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. During his six seasons with the Steelers, he was a three-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler.
