Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor break silence on intimate scenes in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan: 'I think that brought us closer...'

Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor are gearing up for the release of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan this Friday. The two are currently on a promotional spree for the romantic drama. In a recent interview with Filmygyan, the duo opened up on their chemistry in the intimate scenes of the movie. Vikrant Massey highlighted that it happened due to the trust they built over time. He also mentioned that they got to know each other well as people beyond just being co-stars. The 12th Fail actor said, 'We've spoken about this. I think it's the trust factor that was built over a point of time. It strikes me that we are both very alike as people. Besides the acting workshop, or you know, chaahe fir woh blind school ki baat ho ya fir you know the challenges as actors we faced, uske alawa when we got to know each other as people, especially during the scene when we opened up as Vikrant and Shanaya and not just as actors, I think that also brought us closer.' Shanaya, who is set to make her debut with the film, agreed with Vikrant. The actor further added that they both are very much alike and share a similar worldview. "We are very hungry actors, and we want to go out there and give our best. And the only way that can happen is by trusting each other, and there's no other way because you have blindfolds on, I can't see anything, so let's empower each other and bring the best from each other,' he added. For the unversed, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is directed by Santosh Singh. Vikrant Massey plays a visually-impaired musician while Shanaya Kapoor essays the role of a theatre artist. The trailer of the upcoming romantic drama has hit the right chords with the masses and is expected to fare well. However, its success will depend on its hold against Rajkummar Rao's Maalik and James Gunn's Superman, as the movie is set to face a three-way clash at the box office. South Indian superstar Allu Arjun is all set to take things to the next level with a massive sci-fi action film, currently titled AA22xA6 (working title). This big-ticket project marks his first collaboration with Atlee, the hitmaker behind blockbusters like Jawan, known for blending emotion with mass entertainment. With a jaw-dropping budget of Rs 800 crore, the movie is being produced by Sun Pictures, and the buzz is off the charts. One of the most exciting developments? According to reports, a famous Hollywood actor is in talks to play the villain in this movie. And it's not just any actor—it's Will Smith, the global superstar known for movies like Men in Black, I Am Legend, and The Pursuit of Happyness. If confirmed, this would mark Will Smith's first major role in an Indian film—and that too, as the main antagonist. A move that could signal a major shift in how Indian films are perceived globally. To match the scale of the cast and story, the makers are going all-in with top-tier VFX work by Hollywood studios that have previously worked on massive franchises like Avengers, Spider-Man, and Wonder Woman. The team is crafting the visuals and action with an international audience in mind. There's more. In a major update, Allu Arjun's team recently clarified that the actor will be playing double roles in the film, which has only added to the excitement. Fans can expect a high-voltage showdown between Arjun's dual characters and the Hollywood villain. The movie is also rumoured to feature a two-hero storyline, though details on the second lead are still under wraps. Joining the cast are leading Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Mrunal Thakur, bringing even more star power to an already high-profile project. Atlee, who made blockbusters like Jawan, is known for mixing strong emotions with mass action. His team-up with Allu Arjun promises a high-energy entertainer packed with emotions, scale, and spectacle. Previously, Allu Arjun shared details about AA22xA6 in an interview with News9. Backed by a circle of childhood friends who know the pressures of the industry firsthand—Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan—Shanaya opens up about the strength of their bond, the shared dreams they've nurtured since childhood, and the unwavering support that's helped her navigate her journey to the big screen. In a recent chat with Bollywood Bubble, Shanaya reflected on the deep bond she shares with her childhood friends Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan . Calling it a true sisterhood, she spoke about how the three of them have grown up dreaming of a career in films—and now that it's finally happening, it feels surreal. As the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya hails from a family rooted in the industry, with cousins like Janhvi, Khushi, Sonam, and Arjun Kapoor all making their mark in Bollywood. Speaking about her close-knit bond with Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday—daughters of Shah Rukh Khan and Chunky Panday respectively—Shanaya shared how their friendship is rooted in unconditional support. She revealed that whenever something new comes out about her, Suhana and Ananya are always the first to reach out. Their connection, she said, goes beyond the industry—it's built on genuine love and encouragement that flows both ways. She further shared how Ananya Panday has played a key role in guiding her through her early days in the film industry. From helping her navigate what works and what doesn't, to simply being there through every first, Ananya has been a steady support. She said it's a blessing to be chasing their dreams together, exchanging experiences, and leaning on each other through the highs and lows. Her long-awaited Bollywood debut has seen its fair share of delays and reshuffles. Initially set to launch with Dharma Productions' Bedhadak, the film was eventually shelved. She was later cast in the Mohanlal-starrer Vrusshabha, which began filming in 2023 but is still awaiting release. Most recently, Shanaya made an appearance in Guru Randhawa's music video titled Vibe, giving fans a glimpse of her screen presence ahead of her film debut.
