Inter Milan are getting ready to set up their Under-23 team for the upcoming season.
This will be the first season in which the Nerazzurri have a team at that age level.
In this sense, Inter will be following in the footsteps of Juventus and AC Milan, with their Juventus Next Gene and Milan Futuro teams respectively.
Inter To Bring Back Riccardo Melgrati As Under-23 Backup Keeper
Naturally, the goalkeeper role will be an important one for the Inter Under-23 team.
And it will be Alessandro Calligaris who is the Number One for the Nerazzurri's Under-23s.
Caglligari is the most promising keeper currently coming out of Inter's youth ranks. Therefore, the Under-23 team will provide the 20-year-old with a crucial opportunity to shine.

However, there will also be a need for a backup to Calligaris between the posts.
And according to SportItalia, it will be a player outside the under-23 age range.
Goalkeeper Riccardo Melgrati is a player who came through Inter's youth ranks in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
Therefore, the 31-year-old is a player who knows the Nerazzurri environment well.
Inter will sign Melgrati to be both a deputy to rising star Calligaris and a mentor to the younger goalkeeper.

Bayern Munich confirm another injury setback for Aleksandar Pavlovic

Bayern Munich confirmed that midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic has undergone eye socket surgery on Saturday. The Bundesliga record champions did not divulge when the 21-year-old incurred the injury or how long precisely Pavlovic will be out. The nature of such an injury nevertheless usually translates to a three-to-four week stint on the sidelines. Pavlovic will probably miss the start of the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign. The young German-Serbian phenom – capped five times for Germany at senior level despite his age – featured in only 21 of Bayern's 34 league fixtures last season. So many issues plagued the player last year. A broken collarbone, glandular fever, hip problems and tonsillitis prevented Pavlovic from appearing regularly. Pavlovic did appear to finally be on the comeback trail this summer, appearing in all five of Bayern's Club World Cup matches and starting on three occasions. The latest injury setback effectively confirms that longtime teammates/friends Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will run the midfield in Bayern's opening competitive fixture (the DFL Supercup against VfB Stuttgart) on August 16th. Inter Milan Awaiting Atalanta Counteroffer For Lookman – Agents' Promise Of €40M Deal In Ruins

Inter Milan are awaiting a counteroffer from Atalanta for Ademola Lookman, whilst the promise by agents of a €40 million deal is in ruins. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. Inter Milan have now faced a second rejection from Atalanta for forward Ademola Lookman. La Dea had already rejected a €40 million bid from Inter. And yesterday, the Bergamo club rejected a second offer worth €45 million including add-ons. Frustratingly for Inter, Atalanta did not include a counteroffer in their response. Naturally, this has left Inter to do some guesswork as far as La Dea's demands. Inter Await Atalanta Counteroffer For Ademola Lookman – Agents' €40M Promise In Ruins BERGAMO, ITALY – JANUARY 18: Ademola Lookman of Atalanta BC looks on during the Serie A match between Atalanta BC and SSC Napoli at Gewiss Stadium on January 18, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) One thing that is clear, however, is that Inter are not going to be signing Ademola Lookman for €40 million. Or close to it. Reportedly, the 27-year-old's agents had told Inter that they had an informal promise from Atalanta that they would sanction a deal at that fee this summer after refusing to sell him last summer. Therefore, that was Inter's opening bid for Lookman. Of course, the Nerazzurri did not necessarily expect to be able to sign the Nigerian right away for that fee. However, Inter have tacked a few million onto their offer, including add-ons. And they still have gotten a firm no from Atalanta, with no indication of a counteroffer. Therefore, it would be fair to say that the notion of a €40 million promise is now in the trash bin.

Juventus picked up a 2-2 draw against Serie B side Reggiana in their first summer friendly on Saturday. (Photo by) It took less than one minute for Juventus to equalise with another curler from the edge of the box, executed by Conceiçao, assisted by new signing Jonathan David. Igor Tudor changed the Juventus' XI entirely during the break, introducing Vlahovic, Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram and Andrea Cambiaso. Juventus played part of the second half with a 4-2-3-1 formation, while the first half formation was a classic 3-4-2-1. Vlahovic gave Juventus the lead just a few seconds into the second half, steering the ball inside an empty net after Edoardo Motta saved a Daniele Rugani header. Juventus had some big chances to win the game, but Yildiz didn't find the target from an excellent position minutes after Reggiana's second goal, while Vlahovic hit the crossbar from a corner kick routine.
