When do you get your SSI check for July? See full 2025 schedule
Those who get Supplemental Security Income checks will be getting them on a normal schedule in July.
SSI recipients got two checks in May – their May SSI payment issued on May 1 and their June payment on May 30 – because of quirks in the Social Security Administration's calendar. Typically, the payments are issued on the first day of the month, and the May 1 payment went out as expected. But because June 1 fell on a weekend, the payment was sent on May 30, the last business day of May.
Payments in July and August will arrive on a more normal schedule, with the July payment issued on Tuesday, July 1, and the August payment on Friday, Aug. 1, according to the SSA calendar.
Social Security: 3 reasons I'll be taking benefits long before age 70
SSI beneficiaries will also get two checks in August, October and December. That's because the first date of the following month lands on a weekend or holiday.
Here are the dates for SSI payments for the rest of 2025, according to the SSA calendar:
There are about 7.4 million Americans who may be disabled or have limited resources getting monthly Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit payments.
SSI provides benefits for those with limited income or resources, those aged 65 or older, and those who are blind or have a qualifying disability. Children with a qualifying disability can also get SSI, according to the Social Security Administration's website.
Adults who earn more than $2,019 from work monthly, typically do not qualify for SSI. About one-third of those SSI recipients also get a benefit from Social Security.
Those who may be eligible for SSI can begin the application process online, in person at your local Social Security office, or by calling 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time during the work week.

Will TikTok be banned? Trump says there's 'a group of very wealthy people' lined up to buy it
Trump said a TikTok buyer will be announced in two weeks, but the sale still needs permission from Chinese owners. President Donald Trump said his administration has identified a group of buyers for TikTok, and their names will be released in two weeks. Trump made the announcement to Maria Bartiromo in an interview on "Sunday Morning Futures" while talking about potential tariff deals. "We have a buyer for TikTok by the way," Trump said in the interview, which was released June 29. "I think I'll need probably China approval, and I think presidency will probably do it." He said the buyer is "a group of very wealthy people" without providing additional details. Ten days ago, Trump signed a 90-day extension preventing a TikTok sell-or-ban law from going into effect after it was passed by Congress. Lawmakers have said they're worried the company was using the mega-popular video platform to spy on Americans. The latest delay was the third time Trump has moved to keep the law from going into effect using an executive order. Congress approved the ban of the app if was not sold to a non-Chinese company last year, and former President Joe Biden signed it into law. The Supreme Court has since upheld the potential ban's constitutionality, but since returning to office, Trump has directed the Department of Justice not to enforce it. His executive orders have kept the app from going dark.

I'm an Economist: Here's How Likely a Recession Is for the Second Half of 2025
We've officially made it through the first half of the year without a recession, but will that hold true for the rest of the year? Many Americans are not optimistic that we will make it through 2025 unscathed — a recent survey of 2,000 Americans conducted by Talker Research and Affirm found that 58% believe a recession is inevitable. Find Out: Read Next: To find out if there really is cause for concern, GOBankingRates spoke with Ryan Severino, chief economist at BGO, to get his predictions for the latter half of 2025. I still think a recession is unlikely, but the trade policy situation increases the risk. The economy has a lot of momentum and solid underpinnings — a tight labor market, wage growth in excess of inflation, interest rates that remain lower than relatively recent highs, good if not great productivity growth, and the AI boom is picking up steam. That doesn't make the economy immune to a recession, but it helps to insulate it well. Learn More: Right now everything is hinging on trade. This is partially because of the direct impact it could have, but also because of the heightened uncertainty it is creating. If we could at least move to a point of clarity on this, it would help a lot. The U.S. doesn't actually import a lot relative to the size of the economy — certainly not relative to other advanced economies. But trade policy is hanging like the Sword of Damocles over anyone trying to make important economic decisions, especially ones that have long-term implications. I always think it is good to be prepared [for a recession] but not panicked. The world, including the economy, is unpredictable. There are definitely no guarantees in economics. But I never want to scaremonger, especially not when most of what's happening in the economy remains positive. It is always a good idea to have a rainy day fund. That doesn't mean it needs to get built overnight. But think of it like Andy in 'Shawshank Redemption' or the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon — small incremental changes compound to big differences over time.
