MYTV Mana-Mana offers premium TV content ‘priced for Malaysians'
This upgrade comes two years after the introduction of the local over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform that provides free digital content across a range of genres including news, entertainment, lifestyle and education.
With the premium option now available, MYTV Broadcasting – the company behind the platform – offers not just 22 live TV channels and 22 live radio stations, but also video-on-demand content and MYTV original shows.
And importantly, the premium version comes without advertisements, providing viewers an uninterrupted experience.
At the official launch of the service in Kuala Lumpur recently, group chief executive officer of MYTV Broadcasting, Mohamad Helmi Harith, stressed that the introduction of the premium model does not mean the end of the free service.
'Yes, today we're launching MYTV Mana-Mana Premium – but I want to make one thing very clear – the free version, which is already available, is still here and will continue to be here for everyone to enjoy,' he said.
'That remains our commitment because MYTV Mana-Mana was created for all Malaysians, from every walk of life.'
He added: 'Now, for those who want more – more choices, more live TV channels, more original content and more on-demand shows – we're unlocking the next level.
'MyTV Mana-Mana Premium is our way of offering a richer experience at an affordable price.'
'Priced for Malaysians'
Proudly stating that the platform is 'made for Malaysians and priced for Malaysians', it offers three subscription plans, all of which allow access across four devices.
Users can opt to pay RM6.90 for one month, RM19.90 for three months or RM74.90 for a full year.
An additional premium package is also available, priced slightly higher with more features, at RM9.90 monthly, RM28.90 for three months and RM106.90 annually.
'Premium entertainment doesn't have to come with a premium price,' said Syaffandi Shahrom, acting chief operating officer of MYTV Broadcasting.
'MYTV Mana-Mana Premium is built for families, students and individuals alike whether you watch on your mobile, tablet or big screen via Google TV.
'With this low entry rate, we truly hope that everyone from urban areas to rural communities can all enjoy the full offerings of MYTV Mana-Mana Premium.'
The platform features a mix of channels that includes KCM, Rock Action, Rock Entertainment, Aniplus, One, Arirang, Global Trekker, CNA, Suke TV and RTM's TV1 and TV2, to name a few.
The content spans Hollywood films, local and international dramas, sports, anime, cartoons, travel programmes and documentaries.

In addition to its live and licensed content, MYTV is investing in original programming under its MYTV Originals banner.
Several projects are currently in production, with plans to launch in the coming months.
Actor-producer Datuk Rosyam Nor, who is partnering with MYTV through his production company to develop two drama series, welcomed the new platform as a much-needed addition to Malaysia's creative ecosystem.
'I'm grateful that we now have another local platform. This creates more opportunities for Malaysia's creative industry to showcase its content,' he said.
His company is preparing two 30-episode dramas, titled Semanis Warda and Musnah Itu Janji.
Rosyam Nor says having another platform is good for the creative industry. Photo:KK SHAM/The StarHe shared more information on Musnah Itu Janji at the event.
'It tells the story of a woman who is devastated to learn that she is, unknowingly, a second wife.
'Her heartbreak deepens when she's told that one of her newborn twins has died.
'The truth is the baby was secretly given to the first wife, who cannot conceive,' Rosyam said.
Another series in the works under the Originals umbrella is Suri Hati Mr Parlimen, said to be inspired by the real-life relationship between singer-actress Bella Astillah and Muar MP Syed Saddiq.
The platform is also developing Cinta A.I., a 20-episode series based on a webtoon about a man who uses artificial intelligence to win the heart of his dream girl.
Also on the slate are Dua Dunia, which explores the life of a man with two personalities, and Biar Hati Berbicara, a moving drama about a mute girl who is betrayed by her boyfriend.

From struggle to legacy: Felda veteran recalls life on RM2.90
KUALA LUMPUR: The legacy of Felda's earliest settlers continues to resonate through the memories of its pioneering figures—among them, 84-year-old Md Nen Kasim. Though now in declining health, Md Nen remains mentally sharp, vividly recalling the hardship, resilience, and unity that marked the formative years of Felda. A former member of the Felda board of directors, Md Nen was one of its earliest settlers and a pivotal figure in shaping the agency's development. On July 7, 1977, he was awarded the Semai Felda Gold Medal, the highest honour in recognition of his contributions to the movement. In the late 1970s, Md Nen was also part of a historic delegation to England and the Netherlands with four other board members, Datuk Zainal Hasan, Mahmud Sarjono, Walid Makrifat, and Yeop Mahidin Mohd Sharif. The mission, led by the late Yeop Mahidin, aimed to defend Malaysia's palm oil industry amid aggressive campaigns favouring soybean oil in Europe. That pivotal effort helped strengthen global trust in Malaysian palm oil, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of the national economy. Md Nen is now the last surviving member of that delegation. "I am very proud to have been chosen to go to Europe. We defended palm oil on foreign soil. Today, it has become the backbone of the nation's economy," he told Mingguan Malaysia. Although he humbly describes his role as modest, Md Nen believes the struggles of early Felda settlers must never be forgotten, reminding Malaysians that Felda's success came through perseverance, sacrifice, and unity. "Look at how we remember the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee – we only truly appreciated him after he was gone. Don't let that be the fate of Felda's pioneers." Among his fondest memories was receiving the Semai Felda Gold Medal, followed by another gold medal in 1979, both symbols of his enduring service and recognition of the collective struggle of Felda settlers. Md Nen emphasises that Felda was never just a rural development project, but rather a legacy of Malay empowerment, one that should be honoured by every generation benefiting from its land schemes. "I still keep my Buku 555," he shared, referring to the small accounting notebook settlers used. "Back then, wages were only RM2.90 a day — but with that, we bought rice, sardines, and milk.

Our commodities remain competitive even with tariffs, says Johari
JOHOR BARU: The United States' 19% tariff on Malaysian imports will not affect the competitiveness of the country's commodities in global markets, says Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani (pic). The Plantation and Commodities Minister said this was because the tariff for Malaysia remains competitive compared to other Asean nations, including Indonesia, which also faces the same rate. 'The 19% tariff imposed by the United States on Malaysia is among the lowest in Asean countries, and even Indonesia, the world's largest palm oil producer, is subject to the same tariff rate. 'In the context of palm oil, Indonesia is the largest producer and we are number two. But Indonesia is also subject to 19% like Malaysia, so there is no problem,' he told reporters after the Pasir Gudang Umno division annual general meeting here. On Aug 1, US President Donald Trump announced the 19% tariff for Malaysian goods entering the United States, down from an earlier rate of 25%. The new tariff structure takes effect in seven days and applies to all goods with limited exceptions for shipments already in transit. Besides Indonesia and Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Cambodia have also been slapped with a 19% tariff. On an unrelated matter, Johari, who is also Umno vice-president, said the party needs to adopt a more progressive and inclusive mindset to stay relevant, particularly in reaching out to younger Malaysians. He said youth engagement must be prioritised, since young voters are expected to make up 40% of the electorate across parliamentary constituencies in the 16th General Election (GE16). 'This is not a small number. Their thinking is different. Many are highly educated, with degrees, Master's and even PhDs. 'They evaluate candidates based on substance, not just party loyalty. 'To win the hearts of this group, we must think differently, act differently, and truly listen to what they want,' he said. He added that the party must be willing to embrace reform and create space for new ideas, including those brought forward by younger members.
