Miley Cyrus: 'No shade to Dua Lipa, but Prisoner just isn't cohesive with Plastic Hearts'
Miley Cyrus didn't feel her Dua Lipa collaboration Prisoner was the right fit for her album Plastic Hearts.
Amid the hot gossip that Miley shades Dua on the track Every Girl You've Ever Loved on her latest LP Something Beautiful, Miley has insisted she means no disrespect to her fellow pop star, but she didn't feel their collaboration worked on the 2020 glam rock album.
Every Girl You've Ever Loved features the telling lyric: 'Speaks the perfect French/ She can dance the night away/ And still, she'll never break a sweat.'
First of all, Dua speaks French on Charli xcx and Troye Sivan's Talk Talk remix, plus Dua has the song 'Dance The Night' from the Barbie soundtrack.
In a candid interview on the Every Single Album podcast, Miley said: 'It wasn't my idea [to have Prisoner on my album] and no shade to Dua but 'Prisoner' just isn't cohesive with the album. She would have been much better on something in Endless Summer Vacation — like she would've been great on Wildcard or River."
Meanwhile, Miley has admitted she fears Sabrina Carpenter will get "fried".
The 33-year-old star - who shot to fame in Disney show Hannah Montana when she was just 14 years old - believes young performers should be offered regular therapy sessions and she is particularly concerned about the welfare of singers such as the Espresso hitmaker because of their hectic schedules.
She told the New York Times newspaper: "Ariana [Grande] says there should be therapy for child actors, and I totally agree. There should be a weekly check-in.
"I've been doing very consistent therapy since I was 17 or 18 years old, so I think I've cleared up a lot of the feelings that I had about being a child star, and now I don't notice it so much because I don't notice it in me.
"I guess the only thing I notice is when people are working too hard. I met Sabrina Carpenter a couple of times, and every time I see her I have the urge to ask her if she's OK. I'll see she's performing in Ireland, and then the next day she's doing a show in Kansas. And I'm like, 'I don't know how that could be physically OK,' because I was in that situation.
"I know what it feels like to fry yourself, and I don't want anyone else to get fried."

'Doing your own thing and doing exactly what you want on your plate is really cool,' he said. 'I get inspiration from France, Spain and Italy. I try to blend these flavours. Hero dad dives into sea to save daughter who fell from Disney Dream cruise, treading water for 20 minutes before they're pulled to safety
A fearless father jumped off a Disney cruise ship when his daughter fell overboard Sunday — miraculously grabbing her and then treading water for around 20 minutes until they were rescued. The Disney Dream ship was heading from Florida to the Bahamas when an alert suddenly boomed, 'Mr MOB … port side!' referring to 'man overboard,' video of the drama shows. 'A girl fell overboard from the 4th deck & her dad went in after her,' fellow passenger Kevin Furuta posted on Facebook. Other tense vacationers watched as a bright yellow rescue boat was lowered into the water and eventually made its way to where the dad and daughter were bobbing in the Atlantic as they were drifting off. The dad spent around 20 minutes in the sea holding his daughter — who appeared to be about 5 — before they were both pulled to safety, according to online posts. 'Lots of praying folks on this ship!' posted passenger Dewayne Smith, who also reported that the 'little girl fell overboard and her dad jumped overboard to try to save her.' 'Both the little girl and dad were both successfully rescued.' It was not immediately clear how the girl fell into the ocean. The fourth deck of the ship is one of the lowest publicly accessible platforms, likely fewer than 50 feet above the waterline. It contains bars, a theater and an outdoor jogging track, according to a plan on the Disney Cruise Line website. The deck is open-air, although its railings are chest-height to an adult, or higher than most kids' heads. The railings also have plexiglass panels to prevent climbing on their bars. A dad has jumped into the ocean to save his daughter after she fell overboard from the fourth deck on a Disney cruise on Sunday, according to officials and multiple news reports. The Disney Dream was returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday following a four-night cruise in the Bahamas and made a stop at Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, where the incident took place. 'The crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two guests from the water,' Disney Cruise Line told People. 'We commend our crew members for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes. According to posts in the unofficial Disney Dream Cruise Ship Facebook group, where passengers often share updates and experiences, a young girl fell overboard from the ship's fourth deck and a man identified as her father immediately jumped in after her. 'Her dad went in after her,' passenger Kevin Furuta wrote. 'Right after the incident, we heard on the loudspeaker, 'MOB (man overboard) Port side!! Thankfully, the (Disney) rescue team was on it immediately and both were saved!' In a separate post, passenger Mary Ann Sutherland wrote, 'A little girl fell overboard and her father jumped in to save her … apparently the dad sat her on the railing!' After treading water for about 20 minutes with his daughter in his arms, they were both rescued by member of the ship's crew. Another angle of the rescue has been shared on TikTok, with the user describing the scene as a 'miracle'. No injuries were reported from the incident.
