MP CM discusses 3.0 GW solar project with Grew Energy CEO in Dubai
The discussions, as detailed in a post by the MP Chief Minister's Office on X, centred on the 3.0 gigawatt solar cell project in the state's Narmadapuram district, which is expected to create over 700 jobs and position Madhya Pradesh as a leader in the sustainable energy sector.
The meeting, part of Yadav's ongoing tour from July 13 to 19, aimed to attract significant foreign investment, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy and industrial growth.
"Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during his Dubai visit, held a meeting with Mr. Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director of Grew Energy Private Limited, and the delegation regarding proposed investments in Madhya Pradesh," the MP Chief Minister's Office stated in a post on X.
"The meeting focused on the special industrial assistance provided by the state government for the 3.0 gigawatt solar cell project to be established in Narmadapuram district. It is noteworthy that this project will create over 700 employment opportunities and will prove to be a significant initiative in establishing Madhya Pradesh as a leading state in the sustainable energy sector," it added.
As per Thadani, his company had already committed ₹3,000 crore to Madhya Pradesh, with commercial operations slated to begin in March 2026 and further expressed optimism about further expansion that is expected to go up to ₹10,000 crores.
"The meeting with the CM was very energetic. We have already invested in Madhya Pradesh, worth approximately ₹3,000 crore, and are currently discussing the commercial date, scheduled for March. Our group chairmen also met with the CM and we discussed our further expansion plans, which will go up to ₹10,000 crores in the upcoming years, in which investment in the renewable sector, investment in textiles plus flexible packaging, and investment in all sectors where our users are already present," Thadani stated.
He praised Madhya Pradesh's administrative support and central location, saying, "Madhya Pradesh has been very cooperative in all forms, whether it is administrative or vision-wise... and secondly, geographically, it is located in the centre of the country, which helps all industry."
Yadav's official visit to Dubai in the UAE and to Spain is scheduled from July 13 to July 19. The aim of his visit is to bring global investment to Madhya Pradesh, encourage technology sharing, and create new job opportunities under the umbrella of "Global Dialogue 2025".

Bhopal: Metro On Track For October Debut, CM Mohan Yadav Takes Test Ride
Last Updated: The Bhopal Metro will operate at speeds of 40–60 kmph, with a design speed of 90 kmph. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inspected the under-construction Bhopal Metro on Sunday and expressed hope that the priority corridor from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS will become operational by October this year. Yadav took a test ride on a three-coach metro train from Subhash Nagar station to AIIMS and from AIIMS to Rani Kamalapati station. He reviewed onboard features and facilities. 'The Bhopal metro project is progressing rapidly. A few incomplete works will be completed within one and a half to two months. The government is working swiftly to give a gift of metro train service to people by October," he told reporters while pointing out that metro train service in Indore has received a positive response. He said the test run of the Bhopal metro is underway, and the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) has completed the inspection. 'The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will soon inspect the metro works. Once the CMRS gives clearance, the priority corridor of the Bhopal Metro will be opened for public transport," he added. Yadav stated that the Bhopal metro project is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 6,941.40 crore. The priority corridor from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS is being built at a cost of approximately Rs 2,225 crore and is nearing completion. 'Our target is to start metro operations on this priority corridor by October 2025. The roadmap aims to fully operationalise both corridors- orange and blue lines- before 2030," he said. Yadav said the design speed of the Bhopal Metro is 90 kmph, with an operational speed of 40 to 60 kmph. A total of 27 state-of-the-art metro train sets have been planned for the metro project, out of which seven have already arrived in the state capital. The metro will not only ensure convenient travel but also contribute effectively to environmental protection and pollution control, he added. Sharing updates on the Indore metro, Yadav said the government aims to start the full section from Super Corridor to Malviya Nagar (Radisson) intersection by the end of this year. Cong set to corner govt as assembly monsoon session begins on Monday
Bhopal: The 12-day monsoon session of the MP assembly begins on Monday, and is likely to witness sharp exchanges, with the Congress gearing up to corner the Mohan Yadav govt on a range of issues -- from law and order and corruption to financial distress. The 12-day session will have 10 meetings. Three bills and a supplementary Budget will also be tabled during the session. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar convened a meeting of party MLAs on the eve of commencement of the monsoon session to discuss issues to be raised and prepare a strategy with his fellow MLAs on effectively cornering the state govt on key issues. Following the meeting, Singhar said the issues like corruption in recruitment exams conducted by departments and agencies of the state govt, dispossessing tribals from the land in their possession, blatant corruption prevalent in the state, drugs abuse on the rise among youths and involvement of persons allegedly affiliated to the BJP in drugs supply, early recruitment on vacant posts, caste census in a transparent and time-bound manner and raising the OBC reservation to 27 percent are some more issues identified in the meeting on which the Congress MLAs will prominently raise during the session. The govt, on the other hand, will try to turn the tables on the Opposition citing its achievements particularly efforts of the chief minister to attract investment in the state receiving overwhelming response both in the country and abroad, which shall not only bring hefty industrial investment in the state but also create thousands of jobs, plans afoot to promote use of solar power among farmers, new medical colleges coming up, MP Sri Air Ambulance scheme for critically ill patients, procurement of summer moong from the farmers and welfare schemes being run by the state government to reach out to the poor and the needy. The state government will present three Bills in the House and a supplementary budget will also be presented during the session. The assembly speaker Narendra Tomar inspected the assembly building on Sunday to take stock of preparedness for the monsoon session. When asked by media persons present on the occasion about his circular banning protests and sloganeering in the assembly premises, he said "It's nothing new". The Congress had criticised the circular saying it's an attempt to suppress the voice of dissent.
