'Blue Bloods' aired its first episode in 2010 and followed a New York City family that worked in law enforcement. The star-studded cast also included Tom Selleck, Will Estes and Len Cariou as members of the tight-knit family.
CBS announced on Friday that Moynahan will make a guest appearance in the first episode of 'Boston Blue.' She is also set to direct an episode during Season 1.
'Reunited and it feels so good!' Wahlberg, 55, captioned an Instagram shot with his longtime co-star while on set. 'So excited to have my dear friend, and TV sister @bridgetmoynahan, join me for a special guest appearance in the premiere episode of #BostonBlue!'

'She'll also be bringing her incredible directing talents to the show this season!' the star added. 'More fun (and surprises) to come. 👀 Let's go! 💙❤️.'
On July 8, the 'Very Scary People' host posted a photo to his Instagram Stories from his first table read on the spinoff.
'A new chapter 💙,' Wahlberg penned beneath a snap of the pilot script.

Also set to star in 'Boston Blue' is Sonequa Martin-Green, who will play his partner, Detective Lena Silver.
Rounding out the cast are Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner, Gloria Reuben and Ernie Hudson.
Earlier this month, CBS recast Danny Reagan's son, despite Andrew Terraciano appearing as Sean Reagan in nearly every episode over 14 seasons.

Now, Mika Amonsen will take over the role of the youngest Reagan, who relocates to Boston with his father. Sean will work as a patrolman for the Boston Police Department, according to Deadline.
'Blue Bloods' aired its series finale in December after 14 on CBS.
At the time, Wahlberg penned a touching tribute to the police procedural and a love note to the show's loyal fans.

'Dearest Blockheads,' the actor began on Instagram. 'There is, of course, a sadness in saying goodbye to #BlueBloods. But what a heck of a ride we had together! You all were literally part of the Blue Bloods family! Not just on Friday nights (trending #BlueBloods every single week that it's been on the air), not just in your impact on the Ratings (which was massive), you all made yourselves an actual part of the crew.'
Wahlberg added that everyone on the set 'knew you, appreciated you and was happy to see you.'
'None — more than me. Of all the memories, highlights and moments, that I'll look back on fondly from the last 14 years of filming #BlueBloods in New York City, your set visits will be something that I'll cherish forever,' he shared.

The New Kids On The Block member went on to recall his cherished memories of viewers.
'You brought smiles, gifts, cupcakes (even though I was staying in shape for NKOTB tours), candy (too many Coffee Crisps and Kinder to mention), hugs, signs, inspiration and of course love. Some visitors — did not miss a season,' Wahlberg detailed. 'Some visitors — we now miss so dearly.'
'I keep closing my eyes, and seeing your faces, as I'm writing this. I'm so thankful to you all. Please know that my heart is full. I can go on forever, about you, but it's time to stop writing and to simply let these memories live. I thank you. I love you. I appreciate you. I salute you,' he continued before writing a sweet sign-off.

'My Blockhead/BlueBloods Family. See you on the next adventure. Coming soon.'
Selleck, 80, however, didn't hold back from sharing his disdain over the end of the beloved series.
'I'm kind of frustrated,' the Emmy winner told TV Insider in October. 'During those last eight shows, I haven't wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods but about it still being wildly successful.'
Selleck pointed out that the show still had strong ratings, as well.

'I'm not going to turn into a bitter old guy saying, 'Get off my lawn!' I don't believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, 'Here's a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,' it would be almost impossible to believe.'
Selleck continued, 'My frustration is the show was always taken for granted because it performed from the get-go. So how do I feel? It's going to take a long time to sort all of this out.'
Despite his disappointment, the 'Magnum P.I.' star isn't done yet.

He told Town & Country in May, 'I hope there's another Western in my future. Certainly whatever happens with 'Blue Bloods,' I'm not going to stop acting.'
Meanwhile, that same month, Wahlberg admitted he did everything he could to save 'Blue Bloods' before accepting the show's fate.
'When it ended, we thought, 'Okay, some of the network's gonna come and say, let's keep going.' And nobody came, and it was kind of like we were all in denial about it,' he told Fox News Digital.
Wahlberg said that the opportunity for him to produce 'Boston Blue' then came along.

'It was heavy, you know?' the singer confessed. 'It's, like, how do I do this? Like, how does [his character] Danny Reagan carry on? You know, how do we create this new world for this character, and how do we do it in another city, not in New York?'
Wahlberg mentioned that everyone involved in 'Blue Bloods' — both in front of and behind the camera — was so important to him.
'They became part of our family,' he said. 'You know, the viewers are saying, like, 'How do we keep going with a Blue Blood spinoff without the whole family?' And I share that. How do we do that, right?'
Wahlberg made the decision to move forward with the new project.

CBS
'It was definitely a challenge to take on this opportunity, but I kept saying to myself, you know, if I'm really sincere about wanting 'Blue Bloods' to carry on, here's an opportunity to do it,' he detailed.
'Now, it's just Danny going to this new world, but I can't say a lot about it — but I could say, if he's a Reagan, it will never be just Danny. There'll always be a Reagan a phone call away. And the traditions that the Reagans have, Danny wouldn't abandon those traditions.'

Is ‘Tracker' On Tonight? ‘Tracker' Season 3 Return Date On CBS
Our Sunday Scaries are at an all-time high without new episodes of Tracker on CBS. But after months of wondering when Justin Hartley's hit survivalist drama would return for Season 3 and which characters would be returning, we finally have answers! Tracker's Season 2 finale, which premiered all the way back on May 11, saw Colter Shaw (Hartley) head home for a job, visit his mom Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson), and learn some jaw-dropping revelations about the death of his father, Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen). For those who need a refresher, Colter's mom was involved in the death! So we need more info ASAP! 'I know we'll get to the nitty-gritty of why my mother hired this guy,' Hartley told Variety in a recent interview teasing Season 3. 'Was she protecting her kids? Was an affair happening? Was the government involved? Was it strictly just my mother? Why did she hide that from us for so long? Why did she lead me to believe that it was my brother who was involved when he wasn't? It seems like this divide-and-conquer thing that she's doing. It was just an odd thing to do with your children. There's some deep psychosis there. We'll unpack that.' When Tracker does return for Season 3, the show will also look a bit different, as two key cast members departed after Season 2: Eric Graise (Bobby) and Abby McEnany (Velma). But the Season 3 casting updates aren't all bad! Fiona Rene, who plays Reenie, will remain as the sole original cast member aside from Hartley. And on Thursday, July 31, fan-favorite guest star Jensen Ackles confirmed he's returning as Colter's brother Russell by posting an Instagram video of himself on set. So when does Tracker Season 3 return with new episodes on CBS? And is Tracker is on tonight, August 3, 2025? Here's everything to know about the future of Tracker on CBS, including Tracker's Season 3 premiere date, Tracker streaming info, and more. Is On Tonight (8/3/25)? Technically, yes! Tracker is on tonight, Sunday, August 27, 2025. But there's no new episode on. Instead, CBS will be re-airing TWO Tracker Season 2 episodes: Season 2, Episode 2, 'Ontological Shock' (9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET): 'When Colter suddenly disappears during his search for a missing father, Reenie recruits his brother, Russell, for help.' Season 2, Episode 3, 'Bloodlines'(10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET): 'Colter and rival rewardist Billie Matalon team up to find a missing high school baseball star.' Will There Be A Season 3? So is Tracker eventually returning with new episodes? Yes! On February 20, 2025, CBS renewed the popular survivalist drama for Season 3, which makes sense, since CBS reported that Tracker hit over 18 million multiplatform viewers in February, a four percent increase from the prior year. On May 7, 2025, CBS claimed another big win when Tracker took the top spot in the network's 2024-2025 season, averaging 17.5 million broadcast and streaming viewers per episode, according to a 35-day Nielsen streaming report. So when will Colter and co. be back with new episodes? When Will Return With New Episodes On CBS? Tracker Season 3 Premiere Date: After months of anticipation, CBS finally announced Tracker's Season 3 premiere date. The series won't be returning until CBS's 2026-2027 broadcast season, so fans will have to wait a while for new episodes. But you can officially mark your calendars for Sunday, October 19, at 8:00 p.m. ET! How To Watch On CBS And Online: Want to watch reruns of Tracker live on CBS in the mean time? If you have a cable subscription that includes CBS, you can watch Tracker live by setting your TV to the proper channel a few minutes before an episode airs. You can also use your cable username and password to watch CBS episodes live on CBS, or by using the CBS app. If your cable package includes a DVR, you can always record live episodes for later viewing, too. Don't have cable? Don't worry! There are other live viewing options, including fuboTV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV, or YouTube TV, which offer access to CBS without cable. YouTube Experiments With New Display of Collaborators on Clips
This story was originally published on Social Media Today. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Social Media Today newsletter. YouTube's testing a new option that will enable creators to add collaborators to the video title display, in order to help showcase a broader range of creators across its clips. As explained by YouTube: 'We're starting to test a feature that allows creators to add collaborators to a video. Adding collaborators allows content to be recommended to each of the creators' audiences. We're starting this test with a small group of creators at first, but we'll keep you posted on our plans to expand it to more creators.' As you can see in this example from the latest video posted by MrBeast, the new option will display collaborators on a video both via their channel avatars, which will be stacked alongside each other, and within the creator listing beneath the title. Tap on the '…and 3 more' tag and you'll get a full title listing of the channels that have collaborated on the clip. The option is similar to the collaborative tools available on Instagram or TikTok, providing a simple way to showcase a partner profile within the video description. Which could be a valuable connector and promotional tool, providing a more direct link through to collaborating channels, which could see more traffic headed their way, especially if they collaborate with a bigger channel. It's worth noting, however, that YouTube has been encouraging creator collaborations for years, with its YouTube Academy training resource including a whole segment on collaborating with others, and how to do so effectively. So collaborations, in themselves, are not new, but YouTube's looking for a better way to highlight these partnerships within the content itself, so that creators get equal share of the benefits from their shared clips. And it's a logical, simple way to do this, which people are already used to in other apps. As such, this seems very likely to be expanded to all YouTube channels in the near future. What to Know About The Yogurt Shop Murders on HBO
Thirty-three years ago, what was meant to be a sweet trip to a frozen yogurt shop in Austin, Texas, turned into a tragedy when four girls were fatally shot on Dec. 6, 1991. Amy Ayers, Jennifer Harbison, Sarah Harbison, and Eliza Thomas, all teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17, were killed and stripped of their clothing in a room in the back of the shop, before the place was set on fire. The case, which has remained unsolved for decades, is the subject of a new HBO documentary, The Yogurt Shop Murders, directed by Margaret Brown. In four episodes, premiering Sundays starting Aug. 3, the series explores all of the possible theories about who murdered the girls. It features interviews with investigators—and their interviews with the suspects—the victims' family members, and rare footage of the suspects filmed by a local Austin documentary filmmaker, Claire Huie. Exactly why these four girls were murdered is still unknown. 'I would be at parties, and people would just start talking about the yogurt shop murders,' Brown, an Austin native, says. 'It's part of the mythos of Austin, part of the collective memory, the fabric of the city. Everyone has a theory.' Here's what to know about the first episode of The Yogurt Shop Murders. A key arrest The first episode of The Yogurt Shop Murders opens with Huie's footage of a man named Robert Springsteen going shopping for a suit at a Macy's. He tells the salesperson he's just gotten off death row and is looking for sharp clothes for an interview with CBS's investigative show 48 Hours and various court appearances. The scene teases that viewers will learn how Springsteen became a free man in the next episodes. He was named about a week after the shooting, when police arrested his friend, Maurice Pierce, 16, who was carrying a loaded pistol in the waistband of his jeans in the Northcross Mall Plaza near the I Can't Believe It's Yogurt! shop. It was the same type of gun that police were looking for since they found a bullet in a sink at the yogurt shop. When Pierce was questioned, he did not admit guilt, but he gave up the names of other guys he had been hanging out with the night of the shooting: Michael Scott, Springsteen, and Forrest Welborn. Pierce said Forrest asked to borrow his gun and came back sweaty and smelling of hairspray. The next day, the four boys stole a car and drove to San Antonio to see a girl, and when they returned, Maurice said Forrest asked for the gun again. When Maurice asked why, he said Forrest told him that he wanted to kill more girls like he did the night before. Viewers will hear a police recording of Maurice asking Forrest point blank if he killed the girls, and Forrest claiming he was joking and assuring him, 'I wouldn't lie to you.' Police also never found evidence to prove he killed the girls. The mess at the crime scene is one key reason why this case remains unsolved. Police did not have physical evidence to link these four boys to the crime, though they did make sure they got swabs from the girls for future DNA testing. There was no video footage at the store, and the crime scene was covered in water from extinguishing the fire, making it difficult to find fingerprints and evidence that are not contaminated. And while police could track credit card transactions at the store, they couldn't track people who paid in cash. The leading theory about the yogurt shop murders among law enforcement is that it was a robbery gone wrong. Families still traumatized In the first episode, the families of the victims recall Dec. 6, 1991, like it was yesterday. Eliza Thomas's sister Sonora recalls her teeth chattering uncontrollably when she heard the news and having to put her hand in her mouth to stop her teeth from chattering. She remembers vividly the awkwardness of telling her divorced parents the news of their daughter's death. Sonora remembers nervously cleaning the house while her mother locked herself in her bedroom, refusing to even come out and talk to the police. During her first night sleeping without her sister nearby, Sonora Thomas recalls thinking, 'I've never woken up on a day when my sister wasn't alive.' Shawn Ayers misses his sister Amy every day, saying, 'not one day that I don't think of her.' Pam Ayers thinks of her daughter Amy every time she sees kids and animals, as Amy and the three other girls were part of Future Farmers of America. Barbara Ayres-Wilson, mother of Jennifer and Sarah Harbison, has been speaking publicly about the murders since losing her daughters, hoping it would help law enforcement solve the case sooner. She recalls that Jennifer and Sarah were in such a good mood the day they died, excited to go to the yogurt shop, where Jennifer worked. She saw them off and got a hug from each of the girls and reminded them to be careful. And yet, she still wonders if there is anything she could have done differently, stating, 'You just have all of these regrets of not protecting [them]...How could someone be and then not be?'
