Corrie's Sally Carman-Duttine's strict work rule with co-star husband Joe
Sally Carman-Duttine knows how to keep the balance between her work and personal life - by avoiding her husband Joe on the Corrie set.
The Coronation Street star has been a regular face on the ITV soap since 2017. So it's no surprise that she's garnered plenty of friends since her debut.
Sally Carman-Duttine lists Michael Le Vell, who plays on-screen husband Kevin, Jonathan Howard, who stars as Carl, and Vicky Myers, aka Lisa Swain, as some of her closest friends on the Manchester-based programme.
But no matter what she is doing at work, Sally admits there's one co-star she'd rather avoid – her real-life husband Joe Duttine, who portrays cabbie Tim Metcalfe.
'We stay away from each other as much as possible,' Sally says. 'We barely have any scenes together which is exactly the way I want it!'

Next week, it looks like Tyrone may be the one to blow their secret wide open. 'Abi's torn because she loves Kevin very much but she's massively in lust with Carl,' Sally says.
'Certainly for Abi, it's turning into love. She's completely blinkered right now. Every bit of her is drawn to Carl. She's so in lust she can't think straight.'
In upcoming scenes, Abi throws caution to the wind. She fakes a migraine to escape working in the garage with Kevin – fora daytime meet-up with Carl.
The pair end up at the precinct, where Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, spots them together. But the biggest threat may be closer to home as Kevin and Carl's fiery sister Debbie, starts asking questions.
'There's a lot going on,' Sally, 50, teases. 'Debbie is about to get more involved. There's a lot of interaction where Debbie wants it out in the open. Abi gets it in the neck more than Kevin or Carl.'
But it's not just about who finds out about the affair – Abi's marriage is hanging by a fragile thread anyway following Kevin's lies about his cancer.
'There's irreversible damage being done,' she says. 'When it's revealed that Kevin has been lying about having cancer, it'sa really good excuse for her to jump into bed with Carl.'
This isn't the first time that Abi has played away. Fans will remember her one-night stand with the late Imran Habeeb back in 2022, which led to the dramatic and premature birth of her son Alfie, now three.
But this time hits differently. 'With Imran, it was self-punishment,' says Sally. 'Abi hasn't had a man pursue her like Carl. She's addictedto that kind of adrenaline – she's hook, line and sinker with it.'
Caught in the crossfire is Kevin's son Jack (Kyran Bowes). 'Kevin is not shy to put Jack in the middle of it, whether it's helpful to him or not,' Sally says. 'Jack is so confused and hurt. That comes out of anger and there's a lot of backlash.'

Olivia Attwood responds to fan begging her to make surprise return to I'm A Celebrity two years after pulling out
OLIVIA Attwood has responded after a fan begged her to make a return to I'm a Celebrity - two years after being forced to pull out. The This Morning presenter, 34, was devastated when concerns over her health in 2022 meant she had to leave the I'm a Celebrity jungle after just 48 hours. 3 3 Since then, Olivia has always insisted that she will finish what she started Down Under. But it seems she's had a change of heart. During an Instagram Q&A, one fan begged Olivia: 'Plz do the jungle.' She replied: 'Oh hunny noooooo.' Olivia recently opened up about her jungle exit during an appearance on the Staying Relevant podcast with Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson. Speaking about her early departure, she said: "That is the worst thing that's happened to me in this industry. "I really wanted the jungle. "It was a big c**k up on so many levels. [It was a] medical thing essentially." Olivia added: "I tried to fight them on it because I felt like I was fine." The Love Island legend told Pete how ITV had "left the door open" for a jungle return one day. It's no surprise Olivia hasn't got time for I'm a Celebrity right now, after being revealed as the newest This Morning presenter. The Loose Women panellist made her debut last month, co-hosting the show alongside Dermot O'Leary.
