While Whiskers may not be able to communicate his needs purrfectly, today's planets certainly can. With only your sun sign, you can use Catscope to translate the feelings of your feline friend.
Aries
It's one of those weird days when you just don't feel like dealing with anyone -- so don't! Slink away under the porch or into the depths of the closet and just drift off into dreamland for the day.
Taurus
You are one sensitive kitty today -- even the faintest hint of a slight could get you bent out of shape for the rest of the day! Try not to let anyone bring you down too far, though, as you can have good times too.
Gemini
Your kitty brain is much more active today, but you're more engaged in trying to figure out how to defeat security in the kitchen or otherwise get your way in a sneaky fashion than working on philosophical concepts.
Cancer
Try not to get all riled up about anything or anyone unless you've spent time with them or done it before. If you're not sure, just go off on your own and take a nap or do something that's low-key fun.
Leo
You're not looking at the situation all that seriously -- yet -- but you know you need to before much time passes. It's a good day for you to try to figure out what the humans are really thinking. Looking for a better romance? Find the empowerment you need with our Karma Love Report. 💞
Virgo
Your little heart is beating like a drum today and it might launch you in some new direction that nobody would have been able to predict. See if you can try something the humans will like!
Libra
Your human pals might look at you a little funny today, as you've got a serious expression and a no-nonsense demeanor, in contrast to your usual easy-going nature. They want to know what's up!
Scorpio
If you've been tired or cranky or just feeling old lately, today's burst of energy should be most welcome! You might feel a sense of healing, even if the humans do a good job of protecting you from danger.
Sagittarius
It's definitely time for you to listen to what that deep, primal feline is telling you -- even if it seems completely insane in the modern world! Live out your jungle fantasies by any means necessary!
Capricorn
It's time for a good, long nap -- or at least that's what it looks like from outside! You need to make sure that you're not just going along through life without a little time to reflect!
Aquarius
You have a driving need to help the humans -- in the kitchen, making the bed, working on the computer or whatever. If they don't appreciate it at first, redouble your efforts until they see the light!
Pisces
You've got someone who wants to make nice with you or even snuggle up for a while, but you're not so sure. You may want to just sort of hang back for a while and see where things go. What does your moon sign mean? Learn more about your emotional world with a Moon Sign Reading! 🌙

Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff's Astrological Compatibility

Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff seem to have it made. For one, they're both excelling on the career front—it seems like Jack is constantly producing a hit pop album, and Margaret stays leading critically-acclaimed feature films. But based on the way that they talk about their relationship, finding each other has been their greatest blessing. "Falling in love with Jack was the biggest feeling I've ever felt," Margaret shared in her Cosmopolitan cover story. "I spent so many years trying to be someone's perfect girl, and that girl changed over and over again. But I can't lie to Jack. I can't be that for him—he'd see through it. So I just have to be myself. He's been the person I've pictured my whole life." The pair started dating in 2021 and got married two years later at a star-studded celebration in Jack's home state of New Jersey (Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Zoë Kravitz were all in attendance). And before they were even together, not-so-subtle moves were being made to set them up. "We'd heard rumors [Jack] was looking for forever love," Margaret's sister Rainey told Cosmopolitan. "So when there was a small party on the roof and I had a bit too much to drink, I proceeded to tell Jack that he needed to date my sister!" So yes, everything about their love story seems like a that's probably because it was written in the stars. Jack's an Aries, Margaret's a Scorpio, and both of those signs are ruled by Mars, the planet of action and passion. Now that usually indicates a pair will be high drama with an incredibly fiery dynamic, but a closer look at their birth charts shows that Margaret and Jack are nothing of the sort. In fact, despite their global fame, they share a harmonious, comfortable, and pretty liberating inner life that makes them feel truly at home. That said, we went ahead and broke down the duo's birth charts to find out what makes their love story so special. Read on to find out for yourself. [OR WHATEVER LITTLE KICKER YOU WANT!]] There's a lot of deep Scorpio energy in this relationship. Margaret's Scorpio Sun sits close to Jack's Mars and Pluto in Scorpio, meaning they've got great physical chemistry, and the relationship has been super transformative for them both. This astrological overlay also explains why it was love at first sight for these two. 'We met right as COVID was ending, at the first party I'd been to,' Margaret shared in her Cosmo cover story. We saw each other on a roof, and we just started talking and never stopped.' Couples who share this synastry often find themselves immediately drawn to each other, and it can be scary how deep things get early on. Margaret and Jack share this astro aspect in Scorpio, a sign defined by its intense nature. That only magnifies the all-encompassing "this is the one" feeling they both had from the beginning. The ballad "Margaret" by Lana Del Rey and Jack's band The Bleachers is a tribute to their romance, but it captures the way this all-encompassing astrological aspect plays out well, too. "He met Margaret on our rooftop, she was wearing white/And he was like, "I might be in trouble"/He had flashes of the good life." This is the couple whose banter sounds like a foreign language to outside listeners. Their conversations about everything from the weather to global politics are animated, and it's because they come from super different schools of thought. These competing attitudes and perspectives will keep their dynamic fresh and entertaining. Margaret's Mercury, the planet of communication, is in the sign of Libra—so she's pretty diplomatic and likes to hear out both sides of any issue. It sits opposite Jack's Sun in Aries, which makes him a quick decision maker and unafraid of conflict. Their communication styles may contrast, but that keeps things interesting. Jack's Venus, the planet of love, is in a harmonious trine with Margaret's Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion (aka their planets are in the same astrological element). This synastry aspect says that two people will share similar tastes and find it very easy to build a life together. Neither one feels forced to compromise when they're discussing plans for the future. They're naturally aligned on what they desire regarding home and family—be that where they live, how many kids they'll have, or which side of the family they'll stay with during the holidays. They both trust and understand what the other wants, and don't feel a need to question it.

6-Year-Old Boy Covered in Bruises After Giant Octopus Grabbed His Arm and Wouldn't Let Go at a Texas Aquarium

The child's bruises could last between seven and 14 days, the San Antonio Aquarium saidNEED TO KNOW A six-year-old boy is covered in bruises after an octopus grabbed his arm and wouldn't let go The incident took place at the San Antonio Aquarium in Texas on July 14 The child's mother has spoken out about the situation on TikTokA 6-year-old boy was injured after an octopus grabbed his arm and wouldn't let go. Britney Taryn, the child's mom, spoke about the situation that took place during a July 14 visit to the San Antonio Aquarium in a TikTok video. According to Taryn, the giant Pacific octopus attached itself to her son Leo's arm while he was at a touch tank. She added that she and her child had visited the aquarium before, and even met the same sea creature in the past. The San Antonio Aquarium did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment, nor did Taryn. In the social media video shared by Taryn, her son's arm can be seen covered in small, dark purple suction bruises, going from his wrist to his armpit. "My son is very level-headed when it comes to animals, so when he had his arm in there, and he starts saying, 'Mom, it's not letting me go — and way too calmly — 'I'm like, 'Oh, okay.' So I'm helping him get down from the step and trying to pull him away from the octopus, and that octopus is not letting go," she said. Taryn continued, "The octopus starts coming out of the tank, and the reason we don't have pictures or videos of this is because my friend was also freaking out." Following the incident, the San Antonio Aquarium posted a video on TikTok on July 26, highlighting the bruises the specific octopus can leave behind — and how they can last between seven to 14 days. "So there's around 200 suction cups per arm. And as they grow ... they will actually shed their suction cup," an aquarium employee said in the clip. The aquarium added that the giant Pacific octopus can lift up to 700 pounds. In a follow-up video, Taryn said she is working to campaign for safer and more comfortable living conditions for this animal, as well as others in similar situations. The mother added that she reached out to the San Antonio Aquarium and asked them to formally document the incident, and to provide an accessible explanation of the aquarium's safety protocols for when visitors interact with animals. Taryn, claimed in the video, however, that she had not heard back from the Texas-based establishment. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Anderson, 58, shared a post to Instagram that featured photos of herself and Neeson, 73, celebrating their new film, The Naked Gun. "The Naked Gun is finally in theatres! Bring your friends, family, lovers… whoever… just go and have a laugh… it's good for you!" Anderson said in the caption on Aug. 1, alongside romantic and silly shots of Neeson sprinkling some popcorn over her head. "I'll see you there 🤍🍿." Joely, the sister of Neeson's late wife, Natasha Richardson, then shared seven red heart emojis in the comments section. Joely, an actress known for movies like The Patriot and television series like Nip/Tuck, and Natasha — a Tony Award-winning actress — are the daughters of celebrated actress Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richardson. Natasha and the Irish-born actor met in 1993 when they starred opposite each other in a Broadway revival of Anna Christie. They married one year later on July 3, 1994, and went on to welcome two children together, Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28. Richardson died in March 2009 after suffering a head injury while skiing on Quebec's Mont Tremblant. Joely has been candid about her sister's death over the years. In January, Joely shared a black-and-white childhood photo of herself and Natasha as she reflected on turning 60. "Me and my sister Tasha. On my birthday people seemed astonished that I was happy to be turning sixty," she wrote in a caption at that time. "Why wouldn't I be? It's not like the numbers jumped from 25 to 60. All the years and decades in between were LIVED. Now I get to be this number and investigate how I find it. '60 is the new 40' people say — I say 'Why does it need to be? I did that one 2 decades ago.' ' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.
