'Lovin Myself' brought in 57% of the vote, beating out new releases from artists like Tate McRae ('Just Keep Watching'), Miley Cyrus (Something Beautiful), Lorde ('Man of the Year'), Leon Thomas (MUTT Deluxe: HEEL), Yeule (Evangelic Girl Is a Gun), and others.
'Lovin Myself' doubles down on Max's streak of self-empowerment, with the singer declaring, 'I don't need nobody, I'm lovin' myself!' as warm synths rain down on her voice.
Max revealed in early May that her third album, Don't Click Play, will be arriving on Aug. 22. The forthcoming set features lead single 'Lost Your Faith.'
The album cover sees Max braving the heat within a triangle of fire, her hands gripping its burning edges — perhaps a visual metaphor for the fire-emoji energy she wants listeners to feel when they hit play. The triangle itself resembles the familiar symbol for a play button. In April, she directed fans to DontClickPlayOnAvaMax.com, a site disguised as an online petition that cleverly teased an unreleased track.
Don't Click Play follows 2023's Diamonds & Dancefloors (which reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200) and 2020's debut Heaven & Hell (which peaked at No. 27 and featured her breakthrough single 'Sweet But Psycho,' a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2018).
Placing second in the poll was Tate McRae's 'Just Keep Watching', which received nearly 15% of the vote. The fast-moving club track is featured in the F1 film soundtrack.

Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong Pauses Concert to Chew Out Audience Member
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong introduced his American Idiot protagonist as 'the son of rage and love' back in 2004. More than 20 years later, Armstrong lived up to that title during a performance on Sunday (June 22). In fan-captured footage from the livestream of Green Day's set at Hurricane Festival in Germany, Armstrong can be seen singing a call-and-response portion of the band's song 'Jesus of Suburbia,' as he appears to point directly at a fan in the crowd and flipping them off. After a moment, he picked his mic back up and asked the audience to put their 'hands up.' Commenters on the clips circulating online claim that the fan in question was repeatedly spraying the singer with a water gun during the performance, which led to the confrontation. 'Billie Joe reacts to person who kept sh00t1ng water on his face with a waterg0n throughout the whole show,' read one comment. Billboard has reached out to Green Day's representatives for comment. Green Day has been hitting the festival circuit hard throughout 2025, with appearances thus far at Coachella, BottleRock and Download Festival in the U.K., the latter of which saw Armstrong take a moment during the band's performance to call out the rise of far-right policies throughout the United States. 'Donald Trump in his administration is a fascist government. And it's up to us to fight back,' he told the crowd. The band was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May, where bassist Mike Dirnt thanked fans for sticking with the band throughout its decades-long run. 'I hope everybody comes here and takes pictures for as long as you want to and as long as you can,' Dirnt said during the ceremony. 'We'll never say 'thank you' enough.' Green Day Trolled by Fan Who Was Invited On Stage to Play ‘Good Riddance' But Did an Oasis Hit Instead
Billie Joe Armstrong didn't exactly get what he bargained for when he invited a fan on stage at a recent concert. As has become tradition at Green Day concerts, the frontman handed over one of his acoustic guitars Monday (June 30) to a lucky fan plucked from the audience in Luxembourg, giving him the chance to perform alongside the band on 'Good Riddance.' But in clips captured from the show, the fan instead starts playing the wrong chords as Armstrong looks visibly confused. Then, the fan started playing the chord progression of Oasis' biggest hit, 'Wonderwall.' Realization dawning on his face, Armstrong took the guitar back from the fan, who was quickly ushered offstage by a member of the crew. 'Oh, f–k!' Armstrong says in the clip. 'Nice try, nice try.' The interaction comes amid Green Day's The Saviors Tour, which kicked off in May 2024. It marks just the latest viral moment from the trek, with Armstrong recently making headlines for flipping off a concertgoer for seemingly spraying him with a water gun during the show. The band has also been playing a number of festivals in 2025, appearing at Coachella, BottleRock and Download Festival in the U.K. The latter was particularly memorable as Armstrong paused the performance to call out the United States government, telling the crowd: 'Donald Trump and his administration is a fascist government. And it's up to us to fight back.' In May, Armstrong and his bandmates were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 'I hope everybody comes here and takes pictures for as long as you want to and as long as you can,' bassist Mike Dirnt said during the ceremony. 'We'll never say 'thank you' enough.' Jim Jones Defends Himself Against Nas Comparison: ‘Pull Up My Billboard Entries'
Jim Jones makes his case after a 22-year-old college student from New Jersey said he was influenced more by the Harlem rapper than by Nas on the Don't Quote Me podcast. While stopping by the Joe and Jada podcast posted Thursday (June 19), Jimmy discussed the viral video. 'I admired Nas,' Jones admitted. 'When it came to dressin', the wordplay, the music, everything. I was a superior Nas fan, period. I'll never take that away from him.' More from Billboard U.K. Prime Minister on Kneecap's Glastonbury Set: 'I Don't Think That's Appropriate' Fans Choose KATSEYE's 'Gabriela' as This Week's Favorite New Music Jay-Z Joins Beyoncé for 'Crazy in Love' & More in Surprise Duet in Paris However, once Jones became a professional rapper and found himself on the frontlines of the Jay-Z and Nas beef when the Diplomats were signed to Roc-A-Fella during the early 2000s, the rapper he once looked up to became an adversary. 'But then, as I got in the game, you gotta realize, your idols become rivals,' he said, 'Not to take away anything from that. I developed my own style and my own lane that these kids started to gravitate towards to, the same way I gravitated towards Nas when I younger.' Jadakiss pushed back a bit on that claim, though, and said his son is around the same age and is aware of Nas' impact on the genre, but Jim brushed it off, attributing it to him being around Jada. 'He's your son,' he retorted. 'My son can't tell you one Nas record. Let's keep it a buck here. There must be some type of misconception when it comes to Jim Jones and what Jim Jones has done in this game. A lot of these rappers have done a tremendous job. And I take nothing away from them. But they forget, I got a helluva catalog. Gold records, platinum records. Gold albums, platinum albums … Check my track record. Then check everybody else track record.' 'I'm not taking anything away from nobody,' Jones adds. 'But I hear the comparisons. N—as be trying to act funny. No, I been spanking a lot of this s–t. I'm talking about the industry. I been putting on … If you want to go to the Billboard entries, pull up Nas' Billboard entries and pull up my Billboard entries.' For the record, Jim Jones has two songs ('We Fly High' and 'Pop Champagne') in his catalog that have hit the Billboard Hot 100 with one top 10 hit and no No. 1s. Nas, on the other hand, has 27 songs that reached the Hot 100 with two top 10 hits while also having no No. 1s. When it comes to albums, Jim has nine entried in the Billboard 200 with three top 10 albums and no No. 1s, while Nas has 27 entries, 16 top 10 albums, and six that have reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
