Tate McRae Replaces Lady Gaga At No. 1 On A Billboard Chart
Tate McRae's "Just Keep Watching," from the F1 soundtrack, rises to No. 1 on Billboard's Dance ... More Digital Song Sales chart, replacing Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra." LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 23: Tate McRae attends the "F1: The Movie" European Premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square on June 23, 2025 in London, England. (Photo by Samir Hussein/WireImage) For weeks before the movie F1 debuted in theaters, the film was promoted by several tunes featured on its star-studded soundtrack. One such single by Tate McRae, a song titled "Just Keep Watching," became a quick success on a handful of Billboard charts shortly before the summer blockbuster arrived. As the Brad Pitt-led project hit theaters on Friday (June 27), "Just Keep Watching" raced up the charts. The track reached No. 1 on one tally for the first time, with McRae replacing one of the biggest pop stars on the planet at the summit. "Just Keep Watching" Hits No. 1 "Just Keep Watching" revs its engines and drives from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. McRae's most recent single reaches the top spot in its third frame on the ranking of the bestselling tracks in America that Billboard classifies specifically under the dance genre label. Tate McRae Replaces Lady Gaga at No. 1 As McRae rises to No. 1, she replaces Lady Gaga at the top of the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. In the prior frame, "Abracadabra," the most recent single from Gaga's album Mayhem, led the charge for a sixteenth nonconsecutive stint. That track swaps spots with "Just Keep Watching," while Disturbed's 'The Sound of Silence' – the Cyril remix, that is – holds in the runner-up space. Tate McRae's Second Career Winner McRae earns her second career No. 1 as "Just Keep Watching" hits the top of the Dance Digital Song Sales tally. Back in the summer of 2021, she joined producer Regard and Troye Sivan on "You," which spent five frames leading the chart. McRae has only scored four appearances on the Dance Digital Song Sales ranking, and all of them have cracked the top five. In addition to both "You" and "Just Keep Watching," McRae's own "Revolving Door" peaked at No. 5, while "10:35" with Tiësto reached No. 3. "Just Keep Watching" Remains a Dance Smash "Just Keep Watching" is a major win on several of Billboard's dance rankings as it climbs to the No. 1 spot on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart for the first time. The tune also holds atop the Dance Streaming Songs list and is a non-mover at No. 2 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs tally, where it has already led before.

Tate McRae Keeps Her Winning Streak Going With More New No. 1 Hits
Tate McRae scores another chart-topping hit with 'Just Keep Watching,' which debuts at No. 1 on two ... More Billboard dance/electronic lists and reaches No. 33 on the Hot 100. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JULY 11: Tate McRae performs at The Greek Theatre on July 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) Tate McRae has been on a winning streak for months as she continues the promotional campaign surrounding her latest album, So Close to What. Multiple singles from the collection, as well as one high-profile collaboration with a country superstar, keep pushing her career to new heights. The pop powerhouse's latest release is another big hit, as "Just Keep Watching," taken from the upcoming soundtrack for the F1 movie, arrives on the Billboard charts and earns McRae yet another No. 1. The cut launches at No. 1 on two Billboard rankings this frame. McRae's latest tune opens atop both the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs charts. McRae has previously reached the summit on both tallies, and "Just Keep Watching" adds to her growing total. The Canadian singer has now scored a trio of champions on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs list — an impressive feat considering Billboard only introduced the tally earlier this year. She's landed just half a dozen hits on the roster, and half of them have led the charge. On the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs ranking, the new win doubles her career total of No. 1s and gives her a seventh top 10 smash overall. McRae almost leads the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart as well, but "Just Keep Watching" is forced to settle for the runner-up slot. Instead, "Abracadaver" by Lady Gaga refuses to budge, earning a fifteenth turn at the top, and "Just Keep Watching" follows closely behind. Her collaboration with Regard and Troye Sivan, which dominated for a month in 2021, now stands as her second-highest-charting smash, pushed down within her discography by McRae's F1 track. McRae's new tune also brings her back to the top 40 on the Hot 100, where it revs its engine at No. 33. The cut quickly becomes a streaming success as well, launching at No. 17 on the Streaming Songs tally, and it's a major win on Billboard's global rankings too. This frame, McRae sees two singles chart above "Just Keep Watching" on the Hot 100, giving her a trio of top 40 successes simultaneously. "What I Want" with Morgan Wallen, which debuted at No. 1 just a few weeks back, holds steady at No. 2. "Sports Car," which may be the breakout hit from So Close to What, climbs from No. 25 to No. 22 as radio continues to power its ascent.

Fans Choose Ava Max's ‘Lovin Myself' as This Week's Favorite New Music
Ava Max's 'Lovin Myself' tops this week's new music poll. In a poll published Friday (May 30) on Billboard, music fans chose the pop singer's latest single as their favorite new release of the past week. More from Billboard Friday Music Guide: New Music From Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Tate McRae and More Cynthia Erivo Opens Up About Her Queerness: 'The More Yourself You Are, The Better Understanding Starts to Happen' The Roots Apologize to Fans After First Day of 2025 Roots Picnic Marred By Long Lines: 'Safety Will Always Be Our Number 1 Priority' 'Lovin Myself' brought in 57% of the vote, beating out new releases from artists like Tate McRae ('Just Keep Watching'), Miley Cyrus (Something Beautiful), Lorde ('Man of the Year'), Leon Thomas (MUTT Deluxe: HEEL), Yeule (Evangelic Girl Is a Gun), and others. 'Lovin Myself' doubles down on Max's streak of self-empowerment, with the singer declaring, 'I don't need nobody, I'm lovin' myself!' as warm synths rain down on her voice. Max revealed in early May that her third album, Don't Click Play, will be arriving on Aug. 22. The forthcoming set features lead single 'Lost Your Faith.' The album cover sees Max braving the heat within a triangle of fire, her hands gripping its burning edges — perhaps a visual metaphor for the fire-emoji energy she wants listeners to feel when they hit play. The triangle itself resembles the familiar symbol for a play button. In April, she directed fans to a site disguised as an online petition that cleverly teased an unreleased track. Don't Click Play follows 2023's Diamonds & Dancefloors (which reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200) and 2020's debut Heaven & Hell (which peaked at No. 27 and featured her breakthrough single 'Sweet But Psycho,' a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2018). Placing second in the poll was Tate McRae's 'Just Keep Watching', which received nearly 15% of the vote. The fast-moving club track is featured in the F1 film soundtrack. The song will appear on the soundtrack for the film F1, which stars Brad Pitt as a Formula 1 driver who gets back into racing after some time away. Other artists on the soundtrack include Ed Sheeran, RAYE, Burna Boy, Roddy Rich, Dom Dolla, Chris Stapleton, Tiesto, Sexyy Red, Myke Towers, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou, Don Toliver and Doja Cat.
