Take steps for development work in forest areas: Collector Abhilasha
Khanapur: Nirmal district Collector Abhilasha Abhinav has ordered that the officials of the relevant departments should work together in coordination to undertake development works in the forest areas of the district.
The Collector held a review meeting with officials of the Revenue, Forest, Electricity, R&B, Panchayat Raj and Irrigation departments at the Collectorate on Tuesday.
She suggested that the departments should send proposals to the Forest department for the construction of infrastructure like roads, bridges and electricity in remote tribal and forest areas. He said that prior permission should be obtained from the Forest department for development work and that each department should prepare an action plan in coordination with each other.
He clearly told the officials that permission should be obtained through the Parivesh portal for the establishment of power lines. She wanted steps to be taken to ensure that the development programs undertaken are completed quickly. The Collector suggested that the Forest department should send the necessary guidelines to other departments quickly.
Additional Collector Kishore Kumar, District Forest Officer Nagini Bhanu, RDO Ratnakalyan, officials from the relevant departments of Engineering, Revenue, Electricity, and others participated in this meeting.

Under this initiative, farmers can buy saplings for just Rs 10 each and receive a benefit of Rs 70 per plant after three years, provided certain conditions are met. Under the scheme, the state government provides saplings at a subsidised rate of Rs 10. However, farmers must ensure the plants are cared for and survive for at least three years. The goal of this initiative is not only to boost green cover but also to improve crop quality and increase farmers' income. Various types of plants are available at nearby forest department nurseries. These include Sheesham, Guava, Amla, Lemon, Mahogany, Teak, Jamun, Kachnar, Mango, Eucalyptus (Nilgiri), Neem, Kadamba, Peepal, Banyan, Baheda, and Palash. A minimum of 100 plants must be purchased to benefit from the scheme. Speaking about the scheme, Forest Guard of Jehanabad Sadar, Nand Ji, said, 'This is an ambitious scheme of the Bihar government that any farmer can take advantage of. If you buy a plant for Rs 10, the government will pay you Rs 70 after three years, provided the plant survives." The Rs 10 taken for each plant is considered a security deposit. To receive the benefit, more than 50 percent of the plants must be alive after three years. To apply, farmers need a land ownership receipt, a photocopy of their bank passbook, an Aadhaar card, and a form available from the Agriculture Department. Where To Buy Saplings? This year, the district's target is to distribute 40,000 saplings. Currently, 52,000 plants are available at the Kako nursery alone. Ujarulvar village goes fully digital in land transactions, sets national benchmark
Ujarulvar village in Kasaragod district has gone completely digital in land registration and transfer, making it, arguably, the first village to achieve the distinction of making land dealings, including Aadhaar-linked land transfers, fully online. The landmark has been achieved through Ente Bhoomi portal developed jointly by the Revenue, Survey and Registration departments. The first digital land transfer involved the transaction of 6.17 are of land of K.A. Yusuf of Kidur. From land sketching to registration, the entire process, including the final transfer of ownership at the village office, has been carried out digitally, said a release from the Information and Public Relations department on Wednesday. Another first Ujarulvar had earlier become the first village in the country to complete a comprehensive digital land survey. It has now become the first village where residents can complete all land-related services, including Aadhaar registration, land sketching and ownership transfer, entirely online. A key feature of the system is the auto-generation and upload of a new land sketch under the new owner's name upon completion of the transfer. The integration ensures seamless linking with Aadhaar, mutation, eliminating the need for paperwork. The initiative was spearheaded by Kasaragod District Collector K. Inbasekar, who is also the former Inspector General (IG) of Registration. He credited the success of the initiative to inter-departmental coordination and expressed special thanks to Director, Survey, Seeram Sambasiva Rao and Registration IG Sreedhanya for their leadership and officials in the Revenue, Survey and other departments.
