Weibo , Lei confirmed local media reports that the XRing O1 was based on the 3-nanometre lithography process in semiconductor manufacturing. He also said the new integrated circuit (IC) would be installed in the company's new 15S Pro smartphone and the Pad 7 Ultra tablet.
Xiaomi did not provide more information about the XRing O1, especially which contract semiconductor manufacturer was producing the locally designed mobile SoC. Semiconductor foundries in mainland China are not able to mass produce 3-nm chips owing to

On Thursday, Iranian Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh joined nine of his counterparts at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's defence ministers' meeting in Qingdao, China, where he called for a bigger Chinese role in easing the conflict. Team bus of CSL leaders Beijing Guoan seized over debt issues, players forced to hire bikes
Chinese Super League (CSL) leaders Beijing Guoan have had their team bus seized, forcing players to return from training using shared bikes, as the club's parent company struggles with billions of yuan of debt. Advertisement Pictures on social media on Friday showed the team bus being towed away with its door bearing a seal from the Beijing Intermediate People's Court. Images then started circulating on Chinese social media showing three of the club's foreign players hiring shared bikes and riding away from the training complex wearing their kit. The real estate company Sinobo Group holds a 64 per cent stake in Beijing Guoan and reportedly owes more than 3.68 billion yuan (US$502 million). Despite the off-field issues, Guoan invested heavily in the build-up to the 2025 season, including bringing in former Barcelona manager Quique Setien to lead the team, as well as seven first-team players. Hong Kong developers eyeing border project urged to link up with mainland firms
Hong Kong's development minister has suggested that local developers join hands with their mainland Chinese counterparts to take part in the Northern Metropolis border town megaproject using a new approach. Advertisement Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn Hon-ho said on Saturday that the government was studying proposals submitted by various developers and aimed to put one or two large land parcels in the Northern Metropolis project up for tender in the second half of the year. Linn stressed that the government was prioritising the 300 sq km project near the border with mainland China and was willing to be flexible to facilitate developers in speeding up work. In March, the government received 22 expressions of interest in the pilot scheme to develop three large land parcels in the Northern Metropolis, including from Henderson Land Development, New World Development, Sino Land and CK Asset Holdings. According to Linn, about 60 per cent of the expressions of interest came from local enterprises and the remaining 40 per cent from mainland companies. Advertisement 'We are now analysing and preparing detailed terms of the tender. Our goal is to start the bidding process for at least one or two land parcels in the second half of the year,' Linn said on a radio programme.
