Ireland's best restaurant, cafe, pub and more named at Irish Restaurant Awards
The glitzy awards bash took place at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin, where over 1,000 of the country's top hospitality professionals, which included owners, chefs, managers and staff, gathered to celebrate the finest establishments in Irish food and drink.
Now in its 16th year, the Irish Restaurant Awards - which have been dubbed Ireland's 'Food Oscars' - received a record breaking 165,000 public nominations for restaurants, cafés and venues across the country - the highest in the Awards' history.
Prior to the night's splendour and opulence, regional events were held in Kildare, Cork, Sligo and Monaghan, where county winners across various categories were announced. From these winners, the All-Ireland winners were chosen.
Taking home the top honours at Monday's ceremony was Dede at the Customs House, Baltimore, who were named Best Restaurant, while John Kelly of the Lady Helen Restaurant at Mount Juliet Estate was awarded Best Chef in Ireland.
Renowned Chef Neven Maguire was also honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award recognising his contribution to Irish food and hospitality.

Dee Devlin shares in more than €1m director's fees on board of McGregor's company
The sizeable fees are a fraction of what Ms Devlin is believed to earn as a key member of McGregor's business team Dee Devlin has shared in more than €1m in fees paid to directors of Conor McGregor's management company over three years. Having spent a decade working to promote her fiance's brand, the former model and influencer has reaped the rewards, sharing fees of €342,750 with two other directors in 2023, €351,184 in 2022 and €339,617 in 2021. Ms Devlin (37), earned the fees as a director of McGregor Sports and Entertainment where she has been on the board for more than a decade, alongside McGregor's long-standing business partner, Alan Geraghty, who is also group CEO. The sizeable fees are a fraction of what Ms Devlin is believed to earn as a key member of McGregor's business team. As Ms Devlin took to social media last week to fend off the latest slew of online controversies over McGregor's compromising activities, company records show just how much she is invested in her husband's brand. She has served on the boards of most of his Irish-registered companies, including his online media business, TheMacLife. She was briefly director and secretary at Jemi Ventures Limited, the company that developed and runs The Black Forge Inn in Crumlin. She resigned from five McGregor companies in February last year and as company secretary of McGregor Sports and Entertainment. She remains a director of the company, which had a retained income of €506,475 in 2023 and 30 staff. McGregor is its sole shareholder. Ms Devlin, a former model and influencer, is credited with shaping McGregor's business interests overseas. She is listed as joint owner with McGregor of the couple's palatial home in Kildare, the Paddocks. In recent years, various media outlets estimated her net worth at €18m, from her management work for McGregor and her own personal social media following. However, since joining Instagram in 2014, Ms Devlin has never participated in a paid post, despite amassing more than two million followers. Photo: White House Rob Kenny, founder of Rob Kenny PR, has worked in the Irish and UK influencer market for over a decade — and he believes if Ms Devlin did decide to make money collaborating with brands on social media, she would face an uphill battle. Mr Kenny, who represents many of Ireland's biggest influencers, including Vogue Williams, says: 'Vogue is very brand friendly, but Dee would come with a lot of controversy — so I don't think she would have the same pick-up. 'Brands are very, very careful about who they work for, and after everything that happened with Conor, I think brands would have concerns.' Ms Devlin was present in court during McGregor's trial in 2024, when he lost his civil rape trial. She also attacked the character of victim Nikita Hand in a series of messages on her Instagram stories. Mr Kenny says the breakdown of Ms Devlin's followers would also impact her earning power. 'I would also say the vast majority of Dee's followers are based in the US, where Conor's fanbase is. So she might do better in that market. But then, when you think about the amount of celebrities and influencers in America, why would they choose Dee Devlin?' If she took that route… she could make a fortune If Ms Devlin does want to cash in on her online profile, Mr Kenny says the 'smartest' route is via 'affiliate links', which enable influencers to earn commission on sales generated through their content. 'She could sell her own make-up or tanning brand on the TikTok shop or on YouTube. That way she would be able to make money while bypassing brands and agencies who have concerns about working with her. 'For example, if she launched her own range of fake nails, she would be able to sell them directly to her two million followers. Every time a follower makes a purchase, Dee could make 5pc-30pc of every item sold.' If Ms Devlin was to agree to a tell-all interview or a Netflix series about her relationship with McGregor, Mr Kenny says she would stand to make millions. 'If she took that route, after everything she has lived through, she could make a fortune.' Ms Devlin left school at 15. She held down several jobs and worked as a waitress and a model before she met McGregor in 2008, when she was working in a nightclub. Ms Devlin responded on Instagram, posting a photo of her partner with a hearteyes emoji: 'My monster.' Many of McGregor's business interests have taken a hit since Nikita Hand's successful civil action against him last November. He is appealing the court decision after a civil jury found that he had assaulted her. Many pubs and retailers stopped stocking products associated with McGregor after the verdict, including Forged Irish Stout. McGregor was once estimated to be worth up to €300m and in 2021 topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid athletes. More recently his wealth has been valued at less than €200m. His pub business in Crumlin has made significant losses in successive years.
