Vacaville grass fire forces mandatory evacuations, at least 1 structure damaged
Cal Fire said the fire is burning in the area of Browns Valley Road and Bridge Lane. It has burned around 10 acres with no containment reported.
The Solano County Sheriff's Office issued the evacuation order for the area. The scope of the order was not yet clear.
At least one structure had caught fire, according to the Vacaville Fire Protection District.
It's not yet known what caused the fire.

The Westchester County Health Department has preemptively closed several beaches Wednesday, July 2, after heavy rainfall Tuesday evening may have caused bacteria contamination in the water. Lake Fire burns 478 acres in Southern California: See map
LOS ANGELES – Firefighters were able to stall the Lake Fire burning near Victorville, California, though the blaze continues to burn. The blaze sparked just before 4 p.m. PT June 28, according to Cal Fire, and reached 478 acres burned around midnight. Cal Fire said they were able to achieve 10% containment in an update the morning of June 29. "Fire behavior significantly decreased overnight allowing for ground and air resources to gain some containment," Cal Fire said. "The fire has remained in its current footprint and today's resources will continue to mop up and strengthen containment lines, while active working to defend structures." The department said that the weather would turn unfavorable over the next two days, predicting low humidity and winds gusting up to 25 mph Sunday afternoon and stronger gusts June 30. Evacuation orders were issued for residents south of Highway 138 between Interstate 15 and Highway 173. Warnings also covered north of Highway 138 and 173 from Summit Valley Road to Arrowhead Lake Road. The fire also caused the Silverwood State Recreation Area to close through at least Sunday. "The park may reopen Monday, June 30 after re-evaluation," representatives said in a written statement. Scattered storms across South Florida, more widespread rain expected this week
It was a stormy start to Wednesday with parts of South Florida receiving showers with heavy downpours and thunder. Scattered showers and storms will be around throughout the day. The chance of rain is highest from late afternoon into the evening. Afternoon highs will climb to the upper 80s with "feels like" temperatures in the mid to upper 90s when you factor in the humidity. Chance of rain increases over holiday weekend. NEXT Weather The chance of rain stays high on Thursday due to a southwesterly wind flow which will continue to steer showers and storms towards South Florida. More widespread rain is likely with the potential for heavy downpours. During the late week and the Fourth of July weekend, the weather will depend on a disturbance near northern Florida which the National Hurricane Center said has a medium potential (40% chance) of developing into a tropical or subtropical depression. A cold front will move into northern Florida and stall out. An area of low pressure is expected to develop along the front and bring plenty of moisture and instability. National Hurricane Center said system has a medium chance for development. NEXT Weather Regardless of development, this system will likely enhance the potential for showers and storms across South Florida on Friday and throughout the holiday weekend. How much rain South Florida will receive depends on how this system evolves and where it sets up. Right now the heaviest rain is expected for parts of northern and central Florida.
