Controversial influencer who was slammed for cringeworthy entrance at last year's Australian Fashion Week returns in 2025 wearing wedding dress held up by four assistants

Daily Mail12-05-2025
Controversial influencer Jamie Azzopardi has made a much anticipated return to Australian Fashion week.
Azzopardi, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, has once again become the talk of the town after making a typically grand entrance at the 2025 event in Sydney on Monday.
The social media sensation wore a bold white gown which resembled a wedding dress - and had four assistants in tow.
The women held up Azzopardi's voluminous frock which featured a long, flowing train.
Azzopardi recruited four minders to hold up the elaborate frock which featured a ruffled neckline and sheer panels with pearl details.
The dress was belted at the waist and also featured layers of tulle around a beaded bodice.
Jamie wore a pair of sunglasses which had matching pearls and included a long pair of black boots.
It comes after Azzopardi arrived at Australian Fashion Week last year in an elaborate Edwardian-style outfit - before hitting back at their critics.
Azzopardi made an outrageous arrival at Carriageworks in Sydney flanked by an entourage of minders, to which Married At First Sight star Carolina Santos couldn't resist commenting on social media.
'What the f*** is that? Does Jamie think [they] are at the Met Gala or something? Why are people holding [their] clothes?' she said at the time.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia at the event last year, Jamie clapped back at Carolina's comment.
'Carolina, I do have a question because you have a lot to say about me: I just want to know, what do you know about the Met Gala?'
Jamie turned plenty of heads with their outfit, which consisted of a baby blue ruffled coat with a deep, plunging neckline.
The stylist paired the statement garment with a long black skirt and towering high heels.

It comes as eyewitnesses described Azzopardi's arrival at Fashion Week as nothing short of a performance.
Dressed in a detailed gown which featured layers of fine fabric and intricate embellishments, the stylist made sure all eyes were on them.
Azzopardi's 'minders' were seen constantly adjusting every detail of their attire, ensuring that not a single fold was out of place as photographers snapped away.
Australian Fashion Week has gone from one of the country's most prestigious events to one flanked by reality stars, wannabes and micro-influencers.
Industry insiders have told Daily Mail Australia last year that designers are taking caution and want nothing to do with 'fame hungry MAFS stars desperate to be seen at fashion week'.

Sorry Tammy, he's taken! Reece Hawkins' rumoured new girlfriend revealed after speculation Hembrow was going to get back with her ex after split with Matt Zukowski

Tammy Hembrow recently sparked speculation she could be getting back together with her ex-fiancé Reece Hawkins following her failed marriage to Matt Zukowski. But it seems Reece may be off the market after appearing on Gold Coast influencer Olivia Kelly's Instagram page. The fitness trainer, who formerly dated AFL star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, posted a photo of herself wearing a dramatic, backless dress to her Instagram story on Tuesday. The photo was layered over another picture showing a chess board and a man with tattooed arms. The ink matches that of Reece, 30, who is known for his heavily-tattooed body. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. But it seems Reece is off the market after appearing on Gold Coast influencer Olivia Kelly's Instagram page What's more, Olivia recently shared a photo of herself hugging a dog, which appeared to be Reece's Golden Retriever. Olivia, who is currently enjoying a holiday in Bali, split from Bulldogs star Jamarra last year. She recently shared a cryptic post that seemed to be directed at her former boyfriend and his behaviour. The 24-year-old posted a TikTok video where she revealed that she'd discovered something worrying about a person she'd tried to protect. 'When you kept silent to protect them but find out what they were actually doing when you weren't there,' Kelly wrote. 'Their projections are their actions.' As for Reece, the Instagram personality was previously in a relationship with US model London Goheen, whom he wed in 2020. The couple welcomed a son, Stone, in 2021, before calling it quits a year later. After their split, he enjoyed a romance with OnlyFans star Ruby Burciaga. Tammy, 31, first inspired talk of a reconciliation with Reece after she played a cheeky prank on him after her split with husband Matt. Reece and Tammy, who share two children – Wolf, 8, and Saskia, 6 – ended their engagement in June 2018. Tammy took to social media to indulge in a spot of phone pranking, which is currently going viral on TikTok. She shared a clip with her 2.2 million TikTok followers that showed her calling up Reece unannounced to say 'goodnight'. Laughing at the prospect of surprising her ex with an unsolicited call, Tammy giggled before dialling the number. 'Hey, I'm just calling to say goodnight,' Tammy said down the line to a confused Reece. 'What do you mean?' Reece replied before Tammy answered: 'Can't I just say goodnight to you? What do you mean? 'I'm the mother of your children. I can't say goodnight? A friendly goodnight?' Struggling to get his head around the call, Reece asked again why Tammy was calling, and she replied: 'Goodnight, see you later.' Neglecting to reciprocate the sentiment, Reece ended the phone call with an abrupt: 'Yeah, all right, loser,' which elicited a hearty laugh from Tammy. Tammy's cheeky post sent her fans into overdrive, with many pleading with the influencer to get back together with her ex. 'They broke up years ago and I'm still in denial. Tammy and Reece, come home,' one fan wrote. Another pined: 'I can't be the only one that is praying for this reconciliation,' while a third offered a hopeful: 'Please let this be the start of the reunion we have all been waiting for.'

I've made £5.6k on Vinted & here are the 7 items you need to upload NOW – a particular skirt sells instantly for a start

A SAVVY Vinted seller has revealed the seven items and brands that are selling well on the second-hand platform. Chloe Chandler, 25, a side hustler from the UK, has made over £5,600 on Vinted thanks to her very simple tips. 6 6 6 6 So if you've got a wardrobe full of clothes and shoes you never wear, you've come to the right place and will need to listen up. The fashion fan who has cashed in £5,641.07 through the marketplace app, confirmed that not only are white maxi skirts selling instantly at the moment, but there's an old brand that is sure to fill your wallet. The content creator and Vinted enthusiast, who buys and sells on the app 'every single day,' took to social media to share her top tips and tricks, leaving many totally stunned. The blonde-haired beauty, who is a top Vinted seller with over 500 five star reviews, said: 'These are the brands and the items that are selling really well on Vinted at the moment. 'I add things to my favourites and then wait and see what sells - and all of these have sold and are doing really well as listings on Vinted at the moment. 'So whether you are selling your old bits and bobs or you are a reseller, these are the things that you should be listing.' Maxi skirts First things first, Chloe stressed that maxi skirts in any colour are selling 'so well on Vinted at the moment.' In particular, she recognised that white tiered maxi skirts will move fast, as she beamed: 'I buy maxi skirts all the time, but specifically the tiered ones that are becoming more popular. 'Specifically ones that are vintage - so if you have one with an old label in or it's Jane Norman or any sort of quirky brands, they are selling so fast. 'Every single maxi skirt that I add to my favourites is sold in 30 minutes. It's insane. I'm a Vinted whizz who's made £5k in less than a year - the top 5 items currently selling & how to boost low views 'So if you have an old maxi skirt or if you are wanting to make a profit, maxi skirts are really really good at the moment.' Jane Norman Secondly, Chloe revealed that Jane Norman is one brand that is popular on the app at the moment. She continued: 'This brand was really popular back in the early 2000s, but it's slowly coming back into fashion and it is doing so well on Vinted. 'Just make sure you price your items correctly, do your research. 'I've seen some people uploading stuff that is Jane Norman, thinking that it's not worth anything for about £2 and then it gets sold and relisted for £20 plus. 'It's a very, very popular brand at the moment.' Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted? QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted... The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it. Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017. More information here: Jellycats If you're in need of some cash and your little one has shelves full of Jellycats, you may want to think about selling some, as Chloe recognised: 'These always do well on Vinted. 'Just make sure that if you are clearing out your children's toys, you are checking the tags - even if it's books, some books are by Jellycat, so have a look at the labels. 'Make sure that you aren't giving anything away or selling something at a car boot sale that is actually worth quite a lot. 'Jellycats are increasing in popularity, so these do so well on Vinted.' She also advised: 'Just make sure that they are genuine - there are a lot of fakes. Google how to tell if they're real.' Trainers As well as this, Chloe urged sellers to upload their trainers to the marketplace app, as she explained: 'Trainers always do well on Vinted. 'If you have a pair of old New Balance or Nikes, specifically vintage, early 90s sort of shoes, they do really well. 'Some of the newer designs do quite well on Vinted too, so if you have some trainers, don't just think that they're not worth anything and sell them for 50p at a car boot. 'You need to actually do your research and make sure that you price them accordingly on Vinted. 'People buy and sell them all the time. So if you are looking to sell for profit, check out car boot sales and have a look and just see what trainers people are selling.' Sheer tops But that's not all, as according to this Vinted user, mesh, embellished and sequin sheer tops do 'so well on Vinted.' 'It's specifically the brands, you know, Lipsy, Miss Selfridge, old New Look - those sorts of brands are doing really well. 'Make sure you do your research - don't just sell it for £2,' she voiced. Crochet items Similarly, if you've got crochet items you haven't worn in years, you'll need to get uploading them quick. Chloe claimed that 'anything crochet,' including bags and ponchos, will sell fast. Why I hate Vinted, a real-life view Fabulous Associate Editor Sarah Barns opens up on why she hates Vinted: It's the king of second-hand fashion but I hate Vinted. There I said it. Yes, it stops items going into landfill. Yes, it helps create additional side-hustle income for many. And yes, you can get things at bargain prices. But it is just not my (shopping) bag. From personal experience, I've bought 'cheap' bundles of children's clothes only for them to arrive dirty and misshapen. Plus, with postage and buyer protection they didn't feel like such a great deal. I much prefer going to my local charity shop or supermarket for kids' stuff. I've also bought more premium high-street items - a dress from Arket and a skirt from Cos - only to find they didn't fit properly and the colours were faded. I attempted a bout of selling stuff but gave up after my £110 Veja trainers got lost in the post and I spent two hours on the phone to Royal Mail. A major gripe with it is that it still encourages you to spend, spend, spend. I'm not sure I needed the items I did purchase, I just didn't want to miss out. Also, the reselling of fast-fashion items - a £5 Shein top on Vinted for £17.50 - makes me feel a bit queasy. Clothes shopping has become a daily hobby for a lot of people when really it should be something that's done once or twice a year as a necessity. But the 18 million Vinted app users clearly disagree with me. She acknowledged: 'People wear a lot of crochet items just as a little cover up for holiday and festivals and things. 'I'll add some ponchos to my favourites and they sell so quickly. 'Specifically ones from Per Una, old Marks & Spencer, those sorts of brands." Silk items from Monsoon Finally, Chloe revealed that anything silk from Monsoon is sure to make you cash fast. She concluded: 'Anything that is Monsoon that is silk - I have sold so much of this. 'I think I've sold about five silk Monsoon items within the last month, it does really, really well - specifically little cami tops and dresses. 'Make sure you check your labels, because nine times out of 10 people don't realise that they are silk and then someone else gets a bargain, looks, sees that it's silk and then puts it on for double the price.' Social media users react The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ chloe_chandlerx, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 101,500 views, 1,282 likes and 146 comments. Social media users were thankful for Chloe's advice and raced to the comments to express this. One person said: 'Great advice, I have a few Jane Norman dresses to list.' Another added: 'Yep I put an asymmetrical maxi skirt out and it sold really quickly.' A third commented: 'I wish I'd kept all of my extremely noughties clothes now.' Meanwhile, a Vinted beginner beamed: 'New to Vinted. Loving everyone's tips, thank you.' Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club 6

EXCLUSIVE Bombshell twist you NEVER saw coming after Mark Latham's porn star ex bragged about lawyering up with Australia's top female barristers

Two of Australia's top female barristers have denied being engaged by Mark Latham's ex-girlfriend to deal with the ongoing fallout over her toxic relationship with the NSW independent MP. Nathalie Matthews claimed in a text message to Daily Mail Australia on Monday morning she was now being represented by defamation specialist Sue Chrysanthou SC and top prosecutor turned criminal defence barrister Margaret Cunneen SC. However both lawyers have told Daily Mail Australia they are not working for Ms Matthews. Ms Chrysanthou has acted for television presenter Lisa Wilkinson, billionaires Lachlan Murdoch and Gina Rinehart, Academy Award-winner Geoffrey Rush and former radio broadcaster Alan Jones. Her political clients have included Victorian state Liberal MP Moira Deeming and One Nation senator Pauline Hanson - Latham's leader when he was still a member of her political party. Ms Cunneen is a former deputy senior Crown prosecutor who has regularly appeared in high-profile cases, particularly sexual assault matters, since embarking on private practice in 2019. Ms Chrysanthou told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday she was not acting for Ms Matthews 'and my chambers has no record of any such brief'. Ms Cunneen said she had been offered the Matthews case but declined because she was too busy. Ms Matthews, 37, claims Latham, 64, inflicted 'a sustained pattern' of psychological, financial and emotional abuse over almost three years. She is seeking an apprehended violence order against the former federal Labor leader, alleging he committed vile acts 'including defecating on me before sex and refusing to let me wash'. Latham's lawyer Zali Burrows served WiseTech global billionaire Richard White and Ms Matthews with subpoenas related to the AVO application on Friday. The subpoena requested emails, text messages, and OnlyFans direct messages between Mr White and Ms Matthews, who connected on LinkedIn in 2023. Mr White is not accused of any wrongdoing and this publication is not suggesting Mr White and Ms Matthews engaged in a sexual relationship, only that Latham joked about her performing a sex act on the businessman. Daily Mail Australia revealed Ms Matthews' past as an OnlyFans content creator last week. She posted graphic images and videos of herself under the suggestive name Bondi C** Sl** from 2019 to 2023. Ms Matthews declined to comment on her OnlyFans past but her previous lawyer told Daily Mail Australia her client 'has been subjected to character assassination, reputational damage and trial by media'. Sexually explicit WhatsApp messages between Latham and Ms Matthews were made public by The Daily Telegraph last week. Latham told Daily Mail Australia the outlet's reproduction of the messages was 'not accurate'. The messages included a series of lewd exchanges on February 20, 2025, during parliamentary sitting hours. 'Very hard thinking about you,' Latham wrote to Ms Matthews shortly after 11am that day, before following up with a series of suggestive emojis. 'Need badly to taste you,' he wrote that afternoon, alongside a tongue emoji. 'Made it back for first vote after dinner,' Latham wrote at 8.38pm. Having generally limited his comments to posts on X or interviews on radio station 2SM, Latham directly addressed the unfolding sex scandal in a press conference on Saturday. Latham said what he has called his 'situationship' with Ms Matthews ended on May 27 after the Australian Turf Club members voted against the sale of Rosehill racecourse. Both of them are racing enthusiasts and Latham claimed that night Ms Matthews was covered in mud when she allegedly confronted him. 'This was like something from World War Z,' he said. '[But] one thing's abundantly clear - what we had for over two years was a sexed-up, consensual, open arrangement between adults with a fair bit of other contacts, such as fun days of the races, thrown in. I didn't make any moral judgment about her.' Latham went on to say the pair shared a consensual relationship, adding that 'probably 95 per cent of the things she's complaining about, she initiated'. 'So the media disease here... is to take this stuff which is not rational, not true, from someone who... is obviously not thinking clearly about anything and exploit her for these salacious smutty stories that you run about someone's sex life,' he said. Latham did not deny accusations he had sex with Ms Matthews in his parliamentary office, saying people could 'write whatever they like'. 'Members of parliament are allowed to run their own office,' Latham said. 'These are not matters of public interest… but the truth is, members of parliament have privilege for whatever happens in their office. It is their own domain.' Latham said the subpoenas requesting communications between Mr White and Ms Matthews had not been intended to intimidate her, as she had alleged. Instead, Latham insisted he wanted access to those communications to test Ms Matthews' allegations that he had made her have sex with other men. Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting the abuse claims against Latham are true, only that they have been alleged by Ms Matthews.
