King of the Hill Season 14: Release date, cast updates and what to expect next
After a 15-year hiatus, King of the Hill is set to return with its highly anticipated Season 14, bringing back the beloved animated sitcom to fans old and new. Created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, the show's revival on Hulu promises to revisit the quirky world of Arlen, Texas, with a modern twist. Here's everything you need to know about the King of the Hill Season 14. King of the Hill Season 14 Release Date
The King of the Hill revival is scheduled to premiere on August 4, 2025, on Hulu, with all 10 episodes dropping at once for binge-watching. This marks the show's first new season since its original run ended in 2010. Fans can also stream the series on Disney+ via the Hulu hub in the United States or as a Star Original internationally. The release was confirmed during a panel at the ATX TV Festival on May 30, 2025, where the cast and crew shared a first look at the updated opening credits and a grown-up Bobby Hill. Cast Updates for Season 14
The King of the Hill revival brings back most of the original voice cast, ensuring the authentic feel fans love, while addressing the absence of key actors due to unfortunate circumstances. Here's a breakdown of the returning cast members: Mike Judge reprises his roles as Hank Hill , the pragmatic propane salesman, and Boomhauer , the fast-talking womanizer.
Kathy Najimy returns as Peggy Hill , the confident substitute teacher with a knack for Boggle.
Pamela Adlon voices Bobby Hill , now a 21-year-old chef navigating adulthood.
Stephen Root is back as Bill Dauterive , the lovable but depressed barber.
Lauren Tom reprises her roles as Minh Souphanousinphone and her daughter Connie .
Ashley Gardner returns as Nancy Hicks-Gribble , Dale's wife and local news anchor.
Toby Huss takes over as Dale Gribble for most of the season, following the passing of Johnny Hardwick in August 2023. Hardwick recorded dialogue for six episodes before his death.
Ronny Chieng joins the cast as Kahn Souphanousinphone , replacing Toby Huss, who voiced the character in the original run. This recasting reflects a conscious decision to align with modern casting practices.
Marwan Naji is listed in the cast, though his role remains unconfirmed.
Grey DeLisle is also involved, with leaked images from the wrap party suggesting she may voice a character like Nancy Gribble in some capacity. Plot Details: What to Expect in Season 14
Season 14 picks up 15 years after the original series finale, with a time jump that ages the characters to reflect the passage of time. The official plot description reveals that Hank and Peggy Hill have retired after working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to build their retirement nest egg. They return to a changed Arlen, Texas, to reconnect with old friends Dale Gribble, Boomhauer, and Bill Dauterive. Meanwhile, Bobby Hill, now in his 20s, is living his dream as a chef in Dallas, navigating adulthood alongside former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.

‘Solar Opposites' Creators on Crafting the Show's Final Season
A lively crowd turned up for what may be Solar Opposites' last San Diego Comic-Con panel—the animated Hulu sci-fi series will end after its sixth and final season drops October 13. But executive producers Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel told fans they'll walk away satisfied, even if they also feel like they still want more. 'We were starting to write this season when we found out that it was most likely going to be the end,' McMahan said. 'And then we were scrambling around panicking, trying to make them not let it be the end. But just in case, we figured there's some stuff we have to do with [side plot] the Wall, there's the stuff we had to do with the Solars, there's some really cool stuff coming. So, we've been saying that this kind of feels a little bit like our Fellowship of the Ring. Like this is the end of the first book of Solar Opposites. So, we do culminate some stuff, we do get some storylines finished, but we leave it open to more adventures too, at the same time.' The SDCC panel included a screening of a season-six episode that—no spoilers—digs into the deep family relationships that've formed between the Solar Opposites aliens. They may have started off the show merely as partners on a scientific mission, but that's definitely transformed into something far more emotionally resonant. 'That's the most heart we've ever done in an episode,' Bycel said. 'And it ends in this amazing, unexpected way when you realize the family stuff. But because we were sort of cosplaying as drama writers, we knew that we backed ourselves into a corner with [side plots] the Wall and Silver Cops. And our big goal was to sort of take all these breadcrumbs we've done throughout the years and wrap them up with the Solars. So it really makes you realize that the Wall and Silver Cops, they all come back to the Solars, because without them, none of those stories would be able to live. So that was really important for us.' Added McMahan, 'It was all about balance, where it almost had to be funny and dumb and then smart, and we had to pay attention to everything we had said and done. When you're going into the season, I really recommend you go back and watch your favorite episodes, especially the '99 Ships' episode [season three, episode six] before you finish the season because it all ties together. The whole series ties together.' You still have time to rewatch that particular episode or even the whole series to date (including the holiday specials) if you want: Solar Opposites releases all 10 episodes of season six October 13 on Hulu. Fans Just Spotted This Late Disney Star in Adam Sandler's 'Happy Gilmore 2'
Fans Just Spotted This Late Disney Star in Adam Sandler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' originally appeared on Parade. Happy Gilmore 2 just dropped on Netflix Friday, July 25, and it's already making headlines. The long-awaited sequel to Adam Sandler's 1996 classic brings back the golf comedy chaos, complete with cameos from Travis Kelce, Eminem, Post Malone, and Bad Bunny. But one blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment is hitting fans especially hard: a cameo from the late Cameron Boyce. In one scene, a character working the check-in booth has a TV playing in the background. If you look closely, you'll catch the Disney Channel alum in the lower right corner—wearing a blue shirt and holding binoculars. Eagle-eyed fans quickly recognized the footage as a clip from Jessie, likely the episode where Boyce's character, Luke, breaks his leg and spends his time spying on the neighbors. The reactions rolled in fast. 'Happy Gilmore 2 was great. The honoring of Cameron Boyce was such a cute and awesome Easter egg. Bottom right of the screen they're watching them on TV. Adam Sandler you killed it,' one person posted on X (formerly Twitter). 'WHEN I SAW THAT I GASPED SO LOUD MY DOG LOOKED CONCERNED,' another quipped. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 'I wasn't going to watch happy gilmore 2 but finding out about the nod to cameron boyce had made me so emotional I just might,' chimed in a third. 'It actually makes me so heartbroken to think about what an amazingly talented and kind soul the world lost when he passed,' someone else said. 'IM SOBBING I COMPLETELY MISSED THIS,' added another. The moment may be subtle, but it wasn't the first time the 58-year-old 50 First Dates actor honored Boyce. The two worked together on the Grown Ups franchise, where Boyce played Sandler's on-screen son. After Boyce died in 2019 from an epileptic seizure at just 20 years old, Sandler paid tribute to him in Hubie Halloween, with a photo and message in the credits: 'Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day.' Boyce's Descendants co-stars and collaborators continue to keep his memory alive, too. On what would've been his 26th birthday in May, Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, and Booboo Stewart all posted tributes. 'i still feel you all the time. catch you in the next life. happy birthday. i love you,' Cameron, 29, shared alongside throwback photos and a close-up of her tattoo honoring him. 'Keep dancing in heaven, my Cam. Earth could never be the same without you,' Carson, 32, wrote. 'Our Angel. Our Sunshine. Our Cam.' Stewart, 31, posted a photo of the two drinking milkshakes on his Instagram Story, writing, 'Love you always, happy birthday @thecameronboyce.' Director Kenny Ortega also remembered him on Instagram, writing, 'You are love, light and forever with us.' Boyce was honored again in 2024's Descendants: The Rise of Red, where his character Carlos appears in a framed portrait and is referenced by name. China Anne McClain's character Uma looks at the photo and says, 'It's what Carlos would have wanted... Do it in honor of him.' That makes Happy Gilmore 2 the latest to pay tribute—and fans are taking note. While Sandler hasn't confirmed the moment, it lines up with his track record of honoring the people he's loved and worked with. And this small gesture?
