Sassuolo Targeting Inter Milan, Napoli & Como Stars To Replace Sunderland Target
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908. They also report that a surprise move for Lorenzo Insigne would be another possibility.
Sassuolo are looking to replace winger Armand Lauriente this summer transfer window.
The Neroverdi had managed to keep hold of the Frenchman last season. That in spite of the fact that they were in Serie B, having suffered relegation during the 2023-24 campaign.
However, instead of coming up to Serie A with Sassuolo, Lauriente instead looks to be on his way to a newly-promoted club in a different league. Sunderland are on the verge of a deal for him.
Sassuolo Target Buchanan, Zerbin & Fadera As Lauriente Replacements
According to Sky Sport Italia, Sassuolo have a few names in mind as far as replacing Lauriente goes.
One would be Inter Milan winger Tajon Buchanan. The Canadian is back at the Nerazzurri after the end of his loan spell with Villarreal, but hardly a part of the plans.
Meanwhile, Napoli's Alessio Zerbin would be another target for Sassuolo.
Then, Sky Sport Italia reports, the Emilian club could also move for Como winger Alieu Fadera.
Lastly, the broadcaster anticipate, there would even be a possible move for former Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne. The Italian international has terminate his contract with Toronto FC.

Roma to Finalize Wesley Coup with an Assist from Milan
Wesley landed in Italy on Sunday morning to take the medicals ahead of his Roma switch. The Giallorossi had been focusing on him all summer long and eventually persuaded Flamengo. According to Sky, the capital club will shell out €25M plus €5M add-ons. They had struck a deal a while back, but the counterparty wanted to secure a quality replacement first. It's Emerson Royal, who had fallen out of favor at Milan. They pipped Besiktas at the post with a €9M bid. The Rossoneri had paid €15M to add him from Tottenham a year ago. He was the starter for half a season, then he sustained a serious calf injury and never re-entered the rotation. New Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini already wanted Wesley at Atalanta. The fullback has totaled 6 goals and 7 assists in 152 matches with Flamengo. He has two caps with Brazil. Unlike Richard Rios, who transferred to Benfica, he was determined to move only to the Giallorossi. La Lupa is also closing in on Verona's Daniele Ghilardi for about €10M plus bonuses. Their manager continues to ask to act hastily in the transfer market. Next on their agenda is an attacker who could play on the left side of their frontline. The most recent options are Igor Paixao and Fabio Silva, but the search is ongoing. Our Take on Roma and Wesley They had to pay a good chunk of change and be very patient, but it's always positive to land a primary target in an area of need. He's not much of a scorer or a big presence in the box like other wing-backs coached by Gasperini, but the tactician evidently believes in his potential and that he'll be a threat nonetheless.

Inter keeping an eye on Morten Frendrup and Mandela Keita
Serie A giants Inter are keeping an eye on Genoa's Morten Frendrup and Parma star Mandela Keita. La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that the Nerazzurri are considering the sale of Piotr Zielinski. While getting a new club for him is difficult because of his age, contract and injury history across the previous season, Cristian Chivu wants a midfielder who is a ball-winner. As a result, Inter are keeping an eye on Frendrup. They have already inquired about the Dane when Inter spoke to Genoa about Valentin Carboni some weeks ago. Piero Ausilio has been monitoring him closely for a year now and the midfielder's current valuation is at €20 million. Keita's valuation at Parma is quite the same. Chivu likes the Belgian from his time at Parma and everything can now hinge on Inter's sales and how much they invest in Ademola Lookman. Balancing incomings and outgoings will help them sign another midfielder. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN

Eric Bailly handed career lifeline by two surprise Italian clubs
Former Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is wanted by two Italian clubs. Difficult career after United The Ivorian has had his difficulties since leaving England. He struggled whilst in Turkey for Besiktas after leaving United and had his contract cancelled after only a matter of months at the club. Bailly then signed for his former club Villarreal but failed to make much of an impact. The Ivory Coast international was then released from the Spanish side earlier this summer. Saudi move fell through The 31-year-old centre back looked like he would be on his way to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Najmah SC. Nonetheless, this deal never came to pass as Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the move broke down due to Bailly deciding to walk away from negotiations. Italian interest Italian website Calciomercato have reported that there are a couple of teams in Italy who hold an interest in the centre back. They claim that Serie A could be in Bailly's future very soon. The website states that 'the player's team has offered him a Serie A deal with Cagliari and Cremonese: both the Sardinian and Lombard clubs are interested in him.' Salary Obstacle Nonetheless, a deal will not be plain sailing for the free agent. The site reports that 'the biggest obstacle at the moment is a salary request of at least €1 million.' A move to Italy would add to 'an impressive CV', after spells in Spain, England, France and Turkey. Bailly will hope wherever he lands, he can put together some significant time on the pitch. He has not been able to play more than 25 games in a season since his debut campaign with Man United back in 2016/2017. Follow us on Bluesky: @
