Heartless killer seen pouring flammable liquid on pit bull before setting dog on fire in NYC
The brindle pit bull, left to burn, was found on 128 Street and 116 Avenue in South Ozone Park at 4:45 a.m. Thursday, cops said.
A necropsy is being performed to determine if he was burned to death or killed in another way first, a source said.

When police arrived, they found the tiger-striped doggie 'lying in the street' dead, a police source said.
Cops scoured for video to figure out what happened and released surveillance photos of the villain.
They plan to charge the brute with arson, cops said.

The alleged dog killer was last seen wearing a maroon sweatshirt with a 'Polo' logo in tan lettering across the chest, gray pants and a light brown designer MCM backpack, which sells for between $500 and $1,000, cops said.
The surveillance photos show him in a nearby bodega and walking past a white iron fence.

Suspect at large following sexual assault in Queens apartment building, NYPD says
A young woman is recovering following a terrifying attack in her Queens apartment on Saturday. Police say a man sexually assaulted her before taking her bed sheets and fleeing. Residents in the building on 94th Avenue in Jamaica now have their guard up as the NYPD searches for the suspect. Police said the 23-year-old victim woke up to terror at around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. An unknown man had somehow gotten into her apartment and then raped her. She was taken to Queens Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Detectives say the man attacked the victim despite the building having security. Police sources say before he fled, he took the woman's bed sheets. Police are working on the suspect's description. "So where was the doorman? How did he get in, especially at that time?" one resident said. Those are questions police have not yet answered. The attack has left many of the building's residents stunned and with more questions than answers. "I can't believe this. I can't. In my building. I'm in shock right now. I really am," Diana Henderson said. "That's terrible. That's terrible. I'm disgusted," resident Ally Adams said. "I don't know why somebody would do that," resident Tony Italiano said. "I hope they catch him." Some said the building needs more surveillance cameras. "As you can see, it only covers the entrance of our building, you know? And there's cameras on the floor. But I don't think that that was enough because he's still out here," Adams said. Video shows social media influencer "The Watch King" attacked and robbed in Queens
The NYPD is searching for a group of masked men who robbed a popular social media influencer known for selling luxury watches. The disturbing attack last week was captured on surveillance outside victim Moshe Haimoff's home in the Utopia section of Queens. He told CBS News New York's Andrew Ramos he now believes he was set up. Haimoff, better known as "The Watch King" to his 1.6 million followers on Instagram, said he was getting into his car on Wednesday at around 10 a.m., when he was approached by a masked man wearing a construction vest and armed with a stun gun. The encounter was captured on surveillance video. "He shoots the gun, hits me in my leg, my right leg. The one, the second bolt, missed, and hit my belt," the 39-year-old jeweler said. At that moment, Haimoff says he made a run for it, but, as the footage shows, he was tackled on his lawn by the suspect. Then a second man appears and pins him down. "Within 30 seconds, they took my watch, they took chains off my neck. Now, my chain has a logo that says 'Watch King.' The logo they threw back at me," Haimoff said. That logo is part of his brand and has made Haimoff popular online as a sought-after luxury watch dealer. He has a shop in Manhattan's Diamond District. Police said the suspects got away in a waiting vehicle driven by a third accomplice. As police continue to search for the suspects, Haimoff says he thinks he was set up by someone he knows. "I believe I was targeted. I want to know who set me up because my neighbor left the house two minutes before me and they didn't touch him," Haimoff said. While he lost more than $550,000 in jewelry, Haimoff walked away with just minor injuries. "God gave me a second chance at life and I'm grateful. It could have been worse, could have been way worse," he said. While no arrests have been made, Haimoff said he has hired round-the-clock security and will continue doing what he loves. "I'm just gonna go stronger and better. I'm gonna keep on putting [out] content. I'm gonna keep on talking about what I do. I'm gonna keep on going, and, you know, they are not going to stop me from doing what my goal is," he said. AOC ripped as her NYC district is overrun by 'Market of Sweethearts'
Queens residents, merchants and civic leaders blasted US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for being missing in action in the fight to clean up the infamous 'Market of Sweethearts'. Locals along the Roosevelt Avenue corridor have begged for help as the area has been plagued by rampant prostitution and illegal street vendors — fueled in part by gangs who got a foothold in the area due to the city's migrant crisis. 'I have not personally seen Ocasio-Cortez since she's been elected. I have not seen her in the community,' said Rosa Sanchez, president of the Restore Roosevelt Avenue Coalition. I've seen the police. I've never seen AOC,' said Jenny Leo, 54, a pharmacist at Mi. Last month, the feds charged a gang of illegal migrants with extorting brothels, beating up rivals and selling drugs and phony IDs along Roosevelt Avenue to finance an illicit network based in El Salvador. Much more needs to be done and residents in the corridor could use AOC's help, said former Councilman Hiram Monserrate — a neighborhood activist who used to rep the area and resides in East Elmhurst. Advertisement 'We want our Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to use her platform to bring in more police officers to stabilize the area. We want our community back,' Monserrate said. Monserrate said the NYPD put a dent in the lawlessness during its 90-day Operation Restore Roosevelt operation. But the department scaled back its presence after the surge, he said. Crime dropped 28% amid beefed up police enforcement, the mayor said last month. Gov. Kathy Hochul last fall also dispatched 100 state troopers to assist the NYPD along Roosevelt. Ocasio-Cortez's rep on Sunday defended her advocacy to improve the quality of life along Roosevelt Avenue in Corona-East Elmhurst, particularly citing a meeting the congresswoman attended with constituents last Friday about the proliferation of vendors in and around Corona Plaza. 'The congresswoman is focused on solutions not credit. She has done multiple cleanups of the plaza on the other side, and on the official side has worked with DOT to fix street lights and improve sanitation,' said Ocasio-Cortez congressional spokeswoman Karla Santillan.
