Habagat to bring rains over Ilocos provinces — PAGASA
In its 11 am advisory, PAGASA said 50-100 millimeters of rain may be experienced over Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. This comes following the exit of tropical cyclone Bising (international name: Danas) from the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and its downgrade to a severe tropical storm earlier.
PAGASA warned of localized flooding in urbanized, low lying, or areas near rivers. Landslide is also possible in highly susceptible areas.
Marine gale warning
A marine gale warning will remain in effect over the coastal waters of Ilocos Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Quezon, Occidental Mindoro, Masbate, and Romblon due to habagat.
The weather bureau warned mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas to refrain from venturing to the sea under the conditions.
Bising
Earlier, PAGASA lifted the tropical wind signal over all areas in the country after Bising exited PAR again at 5 a.m. It continued to move north northeastward over the next 12 hours before turning northward over the East China Sea by morning July 8.
By afternoon, it is forecast to turn generally westward, making landfall over the Eastern China region. It will continue to move west southwestward until it becomes a remnant low by July 9.
The severe tropical storm will continue to weaken over the East China Sea due to unfavorable conditions. It is forecast to weaken into a remnant low by Wednesday as it moves over the landmass of Eastern China.
The center of the eye of Bising was estimated based on all available data 605 km North of Itbayat, Batanes (outside PAR), moving northward at 35 km/h and has maximum sustained winds of 100 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 125 km/h. — Sundy Locus/RSJ, GMA Integrated News

PAGASA monitors LPA outside PAR; Habagat brings rain over parts of PH
A Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is being observed, according to PAGASA on Tuesday afternoon. The state weather bureau noted that as of 2 p.m., there was a low potential that the LPA would turn into a tropical cyclone. The Southwest Monsoon also continues to bring rains over several parts of the country. It will cause occasional rains over Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands, and cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKARGEN, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, Aklan, and the rest of Cagayan. It will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas of the country due to the weather systems. Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas may be expected over the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon. Almost 96K people in Luzon affected by Bising, Habagat — NDRRMC
A total of 95,906 people or 30,682 families in Luzon were affected by Tropical Cyclone Bising and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Tuesday. In its report, the NDRRMC said the affected communities were reported in the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). The NDRRMC said that of the total affected population, nine people or two families were staying in evacuation centers while 3,026 people or 1,022 families were taking shelter in other places. Floods were reported in 53 areas, landslides in two areas, and falling debris incidents in two areas amid the bad weather, according to the NDRRMC. A total of 16 houses were damaged—12 partially and four totally. Three roads remained impassable to motorists. Classes in 247 areas and work schedules in 36 areas were suspended due to the threat of Bising and Habagat. Assistance worth P687,569 has been provided so far to the victims, the NDRRMC said. On Monday, Bising (international name: Danas) again exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). The tropical cyclone re-entered PAR late Sunday evening after exiting Friday afternoon. — RF, GMA Integrated News
