Tom Brady reignited online firestorm for ‘inappropriate' kiss with son Jack in viral photos

Tom Brady faced public scrutiny over affectionate moments with his son (Getty Images) NFL icon Tom Brady has spent over two decades in the spotlight, winning seven Super Bowls and redefining what it means to be a champion quarterback. But in 2018, and again in late 2022, the headlines around him weren't about football. Instead, they revolved around a personal moment with his son, Jack Brady, that sparked public debate—and resurfaced old criticism. A father-son moment that went viral for all the wrong reasons Back in 2018, Tom Brady faced scrutiny when an episode of his Facebook docuseries Tom vs Time aired a moment where his then 11-year-old son gave him a kiss on the lips while Brady was on a massage table. At the time, it stirred a mixed response—some called it a sweet display of affection, while others labeled it 'awkward' and 'too much.' Fast forward to December 2022, when Brady shared a few poolside photos on Instagram with Jack, now a teenager. In one picture, he kissed his son on the neck; in another, Jack appeared resting comfortably on his dad. While many fans defended the images as wholesome and normal, critics once again flooded the comments, calling it 'cringy' and 'weird.' One user commented, 'Why dude, again, why those mouth kisses, this kid has to get picked on so much in school,' highlighting how some online observers continue to interpret Brady's parenting style through a lens of discomfort. Public love and private parenting under the NFL spotlight Brady, who had recently returned from a brief retirement at the time, was navigating a turbulent period—both personally and professionally. Amid his divorce from Gisele Bündchen and a rocky NFL season, his social media posts with Jack may have been his way of holding onto normalcy and expressing love during a chaotic chapter. While many argue that a father showing open affection toward his child should never be controversial, the repeated backlash reveals how differently people interpret public displays of parental love—especially when it involves a celebrity. Also Read: Gisele Bündchen finally breaks free after Tom Brady divorce and says she's 'earned' her new life of peace and purpose For Brady, the moment likely wasn't meant to be provocative. It was just a father and son, enjoying time together. But in the world of social media and celebrity culture, even the most personal gestures can be turned into headlines. And for someone like Tom Brady, who's used to both praise and pressure, it was just another day in the public eye. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Rashmika Mandanna Says She's Open To Long Shoot Hours Amid Deepika Padukone's Spirit Row: 'Personal Choice'

Last Updated: Rashmika Mandanna reacts to ongoing debate on working hours amid Deepika Padukone's exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit. The conversation around long working hours in the Indian film industry continues to grow louder—and actor Rashmika Mandanna is the latest star to weigh in. Her comments come amid a wave of reactions following reports of Deepika Padukone's alleged fallout with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga over fixed work schedules on the now-shelved Spirit. Addressing the controversy, Mandanna spoke about the importance of clear communication before signing on to a film, during an interview with Mojo Story. 'Today the whole country is debating about flexible hours, but that is for discussion amongst the teams and figuring out what works for them. It's their personal choices," she said, stressing that mutual understanding within the team is key. The Animal actor also reflected on her cross-industry experience, pointing out how shooting schedules differ across regions. 'I do work in multiple industries, like the South – Telugu, Kannada, or Tamil, where we work 9 am to 6 pm. In Hindi, it's a 9 am to 9 pm shift. I am open to both because this is what my film requires," she shared. But she didn't shy away from addressing the more extreme side of filming schedules. 'Some films you can start 9 am to 9 pm, but they carry on till the next day, so you're working like 36 hours. There are much worse scenarios happening where you are working 2-3 days without going home," Mandanna revealed. Deepika Padukone-Sandeep Reddy Vanga Spirit Controversy The issue was recently brought to the forefront after reports surfaced that Deepika Padukone opted out of Spirit due to disagreements over her request for fixed hours. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours. This decision led to her exit from the film, which would have been her second collaboration with Prabhas after their recent project, Kalki 2898 AD. The situation sparked industry-wide discussions about actor welfare and reasonable work conditions. Following Deepika's exit, Triptii Dimri was confirmed to play a part in the film. Mandanna, who worked with Vanga on the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal, acknowledged the broader need for realistic expectations, especially in high-pressure shoots. Rashmika Mandanna was most recently seen in Kuberaa, which released on June 20. First Published:
