In one clip that went viral with over 8 million views, Lys revealed she even wears a collar to show her commitment to following her husband.
She said: "I respect my man's lead. He provides, he protects, he puts our best interests first. I could ask that man for anything and he would go to the ends of the earth just to get it for me, and if he can't, he's gonna make it.
"My day collar is a daily sign of submission. For us, it is a deeper level of connection than a wedding ring.
"I fully rely on my man to protect us mentally, physically, spiritually. I fully trust him to the point where I am actively submitting to him.
"I'm not gonna constantly be this wrecking ball when he walks through the house. I'm going to be a safe, comforting place where he can go."
The video caused such a storm online that Lys followed up the video to defend herself and shared how she supports her husband.
Lys added: "Yes, I am a trad wife. I don't lay on the ground so my husband can use me as a rug to wipe his boots on, but I'll take his boots off.
"I'll make sure that he has a peaceful and quiet place to come home to. I'll make sure he's not met at the door with chaos and destruction.
"I'll make sure that as a man, he feels heard. I respect his decisions. I respect his lead. I respect his thoughts."
Lys refers to herself as the 'suitable helper' to her husband and goes on to say that being submissive doesn't mean she has no voice.

"Embracing being a suitable helper doesn't mean my voice is less," she continues.
"It doesn't mean that I'm silenced and oppressed. It means I'm embracing it. I am embracing being a suitable helper."
The video also went viral on her TikTok account @ farmmamalys with over 265k views.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments, and many women were quick to say the lifestyle Lys leads wasn't for them.

What is a trad wife?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra traditional role in marriage, meaning she makes dinner and looks pretty whilst her husband goes to work.
The trend takes inspiration from the idea of a 1950s housewife.
Many 'trad wives' choose to dress in the style of clothing popular in this period (think floral dresses and frumpy cardigans).
Additionally, the values considered important to trad wives are similar to strict Christian values.
Trad wives believed they were not forced into this way of life, and that it was their purpose to be homemakers.
The trend, which has garnered attention on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, glamorises a time gone by with little acknowledgement of the economic challenges facing families and mothers today.
"You do you, but I could never," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "So your life is his. Not yours. You're an extension of his life."
"Girl, want more for yourself,' claimed a fifth.

Bikini-clad Livvy Dunne hits the beach as she celebrates July 4th weekend with girls' trip to The Hamptons
Social media sensation Livvy Dunne spent her July 4th weekend with a girls' trip to The Hamptons, where she hit the beach and hung out with her friends. Dunne shared the details of her Independence Day on her Instagram story, first offering up some relatable content by sitting in standstill traffic to get to Bridgehampton, New York. Then came Dunne's selfie from the beach, a photo she captioned with red, white, and blue heart emojis. Dunne wore a straw hat while also donning a red and white bikini, laying stomach-first on the beach, just feet from the water. The former LSU gymnast also shared a photo in a white dress, wearing a pair of sunglasses and her tongue sticking out next to friend Lauren Maitland. Not in The Hamptons to celebrate the holiday with Dunne was her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, who was in Seattle with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dunne has maintained her social-media profile since departing LSU, where she was one of the highest NIL earners in the country. Earlier this month, Dunne was in New York City for Fanatics Fest, and competed against the greatest competitive eater of all-time, Joey Chestnut, in an all-star chicken finger-eating contest. Dunne, DJ Khaled, Fanatics founder Michael Rubin and Julian Edelman all took part in the eating challenge alongside the legendary Chestnut. Dunne stunned attendees of an SI Swimsuit Party by performing the splits back on May 31 The 41-year-old holds dozens of eating records including the most hot dogs (76) in 10 minutes and the most chicken wings (182) in 30 minutes. Chestnut dominated a Raising Cane's contest, putting away 40 tenders in just five minutes. And Dunne's hilarious reaction to Chestnut was caught on camera. In a clip that flooded social media, the gymnast was seen open-mouthed as Chestnut demolished the chicken. At one point, Dunne appeared to retch as she struggled to keep the chicken down. She and Chestnut also posed for a picture to mark the occasion.

Meghan reveals July 4 tradition sparked by second date with Harry
The Duchess of Sussex has revealed her July 4 tradition that began on her second date with her husband. Meghan said the couple began marking Independence Day in the United States with themed cupcakes after Prince Harry bought them to celebrate their second date in 2016. The pair now include children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3, in the tradition, Meghan added. Posting a picture of seven cupcakes on social media, Meghan wrote: 'Our second date was the 4th of July 2016 and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. 'Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition. Happy Independence Day! May your day be as sweet as these cupcakes.' The Duchess was also seen smiling in the kitchen and preparing fruit platters in a reel posted by her As Ever brand to mark the US holiday. A video on As Ever's Instagram account, captioned 'Happy 4th of July!' showed Meghan with boards of fruit and jam. Earlier this week, the Duchess' new rosé wine, which is said to 'capture the essence of sun-drenched outdoor moments' and costs more than £20 a bottle, sold out within an hour. Meghan launched her As Ever Napa Valley Rosé 2023, described as having 'soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish', on Tuesday. Meghan The beverage, priced at more than £65 for a minimum three-bottle order, had only appeared to be available for US customers to buy, with shipping addresses limited to America. The Duchess made her social media return in early 2025 and regularly shares personal milestones and professional updates through her Instagram account. Harry and Meghan have been raising their children in Montecito, California, since announcing they were stepping back as working members of the royal family on January 8 2020. The couple have since been at the centre of tensions with other royals, with the duke becoming estranged from his father, the King, and his brother, the Prince of Wales. In a recent interview, Harry said he 'would love a reconciliation' with his family, claiming Charles will not speak to him and expressing concern that he does not know 'how much longer my father has'.
