Blake, Cooper Flack, he's walking in to replace theoretically, if they keep the pick and they pick him and everything else, he's going in to replace the first guy that they thought or the second guy behind Dirk, that they thought was going to be staying there forever.
Like that's a different level of pressure that I would say that could be the case for Cooper Flag, right?
Yeah, I mean, I, I, I, I saw somebody talking about like should the Mavs move the pair I I I think that's a terrible idea, but to be fair, I also thought moving Luca for that was also a bad idea, so why would you, I don't think you trade that pick at all.
Yeah, I think Cooper is gonna be like impactful right away.

Adding Cooper flag to Anthony Davis to Clay, to Kyrie when he come when he's when he's healthy, uh, like that team is that team is good.
Yeah.
That's a very, very good team.
I know, I know Nico was watching that lottery, like, come on, I need I need this so bad.
I wonder what I wonder what the Dallas fans are like thinking right now.
Like, are they, do you think they ease up off of him a little bit?
Absolutely not.
They're afraid he's going to trade that pick to the Lakers for Austin Reeves.
Yes, that's what they think.
And a bag of beans or something like that.
They are afraid that Nico is getting is getting worked right now by Rob Polinka on the phone and they're meeting up at some coffee house.

That's so good.
You need another washing machine.
That's, no, I hope not.
Let's just say that for Nico's sake, he better do the right thing.
Yeah.
Now, Blake, of course, you're here with us on behalf of Wayfair.
You're wearing purple.
I know the color, I know the app.
Tell us about your partnership with Wayfair.
I've seen you in a couple of those commercials.
Yeah, um, I did a, did a campaign called Charades, uh, where people get the opportunity to act out their favorite chair.
And there's, by the way, there's 200,000 of them on Wayfair.
It's really cool.
I mean, I, I enjoyed this collaboration a lot just because, like I said, there are so many choices.

There's a style for everybody.
Charades will be a a a contest, so people can like act out their favorite chairs for a chance to win $1000 to Wayfair.
And like I said, with all those options, you can you can get pretty much anything you need.
Blake, man, really this is really, really fun, man.
I really appreciate you.
Thanks again, Blake.

Mavericks' Kyrie Irving tells absolutely savage Luka Doncic practice story

The post Mavericks' Kyrie Irving tells absolutely savage Luka Doncic practice story appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Dallas Mavericks have recovered as well as one could hope from their disastrous Luka Doncic trade, lucking into the chance to draft Cooper Flagg with the number one pick, which Nico Harrison thankfully did not try to overthink. Still, unless the team wins multiple championships over the coming years, it will be very difficult for Mavericks fans to ever get past the Doncic trade. Recently, Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving took to Twitch, where he spoke about a story involving Doncic during a Mavericks practice before the trade that left even one of the most talented scorers of all time bewildered. 'He's giving you probably like 60, 18, and 18. I witnessed him give somebody 24 points in 3 minutes,' said Irving, via Fullcourtpass on X, formerly Twitter. It was just one example of Doncic's scoring brilliance, which culminated with a 73-point performance against the Atlanta Hawks in January of 2024. Just over a year later, the Mavericks would make the baffling decision to trade him, despite having made the Finals with Doncic leading the way just months earlier. Can the Mavericks rebound? If Kyrie Irving were healthy to open up the season, it's possible that the Mavericks could be viewed as legitimate contenders in the crowded Western Conference to open up the 2025-26 campaign. Unfortunately, Irving tore his ACL in March and will likely miss a sizable chunk of next season, which figures to put a hard ceiling on just how high the Mavericks can climb in the standings. Still, the vibes in Dallas are undoubtedly as high as they've been since that fateful February night, thanks in large part to the presence of Cooper Flagg, who only needed two Summer League games to prove that he is ready to play at the NBA level. While there will be some growing pains for Flagg, and both Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson are significant injury risks at this stage of their careers, Dallas has something to work with moving forward, which should at least soften the blow of the Doncic trade for now. In any case, the Mavericks' schedule for the 2025-26 season is slated to be released next month. Lakers' Luka Doncic shows love for Jalen Brunson during Yankees visit

The post Lakers' Luka Doncic shows love for Jalen Brunson during Yankees visit appeared first on ClutchPoints. Luka Doncic is in the middle of an offseason that could prove to be a defining point in his career. Traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers due to concerns over his long-term health and work ethic, it looks as though Doncic is dead-set on proving his haters wrong, if the latest footage of his workouts are any indication. But this offseason isn't all work and no play for Doncic, as he spent his free time being in attendance at Yankee Stadium for the New York Yankees' 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday as part of his collaboration with star Aaron Judge. Doncic, of course, is one of the biggest stars in professional sports, so it was only due diligence for the YES broadcast to bring him in for a quick chat. And as a New York sports broadcast channel would have it, the Lakers star was asked about his opinions regarding the New York Knicks. Unsurprisingly, Doncic had nothing but kind words to say, especially when one of his former teammates, reigning Clutch Player of the Year Jalen Brunson, has blossomed into a legitimate MVP-caliber player for the Knicks. 'I like the Knicks. I like my guy JB, you know that. I always cheer for him,' Doncic said, via @NBA_NewYork on X (formerly Twitter). They also asked the Lakers star what he thought of the Knicks' decision to fire Tom Thibodeau. Doncic, who's no stranger to seismic changes, knows the nature of the business and wasn't exactly surprised of this turn of events. 'It's the NBA business; anything can happen,' Doncic added. Doncic is certainly more jaded than ever after the events of last season, and at the very least, he and Brunson can bond over the fact that the Mavericks fumbled them both. Lakers and Knicks benefit from Mavericks' fumbling The Mavericks have lucked into where they are now; as things stand, they have a roster build to contend especially if Cooper Flagg delivers on the hype and Kyrie Irving recovers fully from his ACL tear. But they have fumbled plenty of players over the years, letting go of elite point guards who went on to do bigger and better things after departing from Dallas. In 2004, it was Steve Nash whom the Mavericks let go in free agency. They appeared to make the same mistake 18 years later, when they allowed Brunson to walk to the Knicks. And then in 2025, in a move that still ranks as the most surprising in the history of professional sports, the Mavs traded Doncic to the Lakers. Lakers' Luka Doncic reveals what drove him to be shredded in NBA offseason

The post Lakers' Luka Doncic reveals what drove him to be shredded in NBA offseason appeared first on ClutchPoints. Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic silenced his critics Monday by sharing a new physique. He revealed what drove him to become shredded. The perennial all-star showed up leaner, highlighted by Men's Health magazine. Doncic is also more muscular and toned at the arms. What became his drive to better health? He revealed why during a New York Yankees game. 'I needed a fresh start after everything that happened,' Doncic said to the Yankees broadcast team. He added how this time, he had more time to dive into new workouts. Doncic left basketball for one month to 'focus on other things.' Turns out it involved transforming his body. 'It was a really good fresh and healthy start for me,' Doncic said. What was in Luka Doncic's workouts before second Lakers season? Doncic and the Lakers rattled the league ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline in February. But he still faced critics. The former Dallas Mavericks star was ripped for his lack of conditioning and off the court work ethic. Doncic weighed at a reported 260-pounds after the trade was made. At 6-foot-6, 260-pounds — Doncic looked more like a blocking tight end not required to run routes on third and long. Now he's entering season two with the Lakers ripped. So what type of workouts did Doncic hit? Andrew Heffernan of Men's Health unveiled Doncic did a 90-minute workout. One that blended weight training, agility work and shooting drills. Another workout featured Doncic shooting with a resistance band strapped at his waist. That became part of a circuit workout with his trainer Anže Maček. Doncic needed to trust his lower body too. Trap-bar deadlifts became a part of his routine. Same with sprints and jumps on an outdoor track. Doncic now looks like a natural guard. And he's sent an early message too before Doncic plays his next Lakers game. Now Laker fans will hope his second season in L.A. becomes more stellar than his first.
