Nevada teacher admits abusing dozens of kids as young as 2...and school STILL let her teach for months

Daily Mail2 days ago
A Nevada school is under fire for letting a female teacher continue to work after she allegedly admitted to abusing dozens of children, including one as young as two years old.
Taji Hillson, 62, of Reno, was arrested on July 2, one day after she allegedly left an apology letter in a victim's mailbox.
Her arrest came months after a female adult relative filed a police report on April 30 alleging that she had been sexually abused by Hillson as a child and as an adult.
Even after the relative submitted four additional police reports with further evidence, Hillson still continued her work as a physical education teacher at Roy Gomm Elementary School through the end of the term on June 13. Police do not believe that Hillson's abuse victims were also students of hers.
Nearly two weeks later, Reno Police interviewed Hillson about the allegations, and she allegedly admitted to abusing dozens of children, mainly relatives in North Carolina, and touching a two-year-old inappropriately at a pool in the last two years.
She told police she committed 'all of the actions as she never felt seen and desired to be close to another person,' the arrest report said, according to The Reno Gazette Journal.
The adult victim lived next door to her and is financially dependent on Hillson, court documents obtained by 2 News Nevada, said.
She allegedly started abusing the adult victim 20 years ago, and she only found out about it after Hillson left her an apology letter in her mailbox.
'The defendant admitted to giving her Benadryl to sedate her by sneaking it in her food,' the police report said.
'The Defendant described doing this throughout the victim's childhood but more frequently from age 6-12 as her husband worked night shifts at that time.'
She would give the victim up to three times the recommended dose of Benadryl, an allergy medication, to 'control' her. While the woman was asleep, the mother-of-two would touch her inappropriately.
She also allegedly admitted to police that she drugged and touched the victim as an adult too.
The female victim had shown police text messages and the letter where Hillson allegedly admitted to her crimes on July 1.
Hillson was booked into the Washoe County Jail on a $5million bail with no 10 percent cash option, and was charged with sexual assault against a child under the age of 14, sexual assault, and three counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14.
'The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing, and are currently involving two victims, one of whom is a toddler. I commend the extraordinary courage of the adult victim who came forward to report this abuse,' District Attorney Chris Hicks said in a statement.
'A brave act that has allowed us to seek justice and protect others from harm.'
Hillson is not to have contact with the victim and if she bails out, she will have to wear GPS monitoring.
Washoe County Jail does not currently list Hillson on its roster.

Moment man is attacked by thug armed with a 'crossbow': Ring doorbell footage shows victim begging for help 'after being shot in street'

This is the moment a man was shot with a crossbow in a brutal attack caught on doorbell camera. Disturbing video shows the terrified victim - who has a bloodied face - running towards a house before frantically ringing the bell in an attempt to escape. A masked shooter dressed in black appears and raises a crossbow - prompting the man to surge forward in an attempt to grab it. He then runs back towards the front door and bangs on it several before the shooter pulls the trigger, leaving him screaming in agony. The attacker is seen ripping the arrow out of the victim's leg before the footage cuts away. Police are now investigating the horrific incident, which took place on Downway Lane in St Helens, Merseyside at around 10pm on Sunday. They said the attack involved five men, who were all wearing dark clothing and face coverings. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. In the footage, the attacker is dressed in a navy and grey The North Face jacket, grey tracksuit trousers and black trainers. He has his hood up and is wearing sunglasses. Police believe the attack was targeted and are asking for the public's help to track down the five suspects. Det Insp Steve Byrom said: 'We are in the very early stages of the investigation and we are determined to find the people responsible. 'I understand that the community will rightly be concerned by this incident but please be assured that we are determined to find the suspects involved. 'We believe that five males fled the area on foot and enquiries are ongoing to locate them and find any weapons used in this incident. 'We are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the general area who saw or heard anything suspicious or believes they captured something significant on their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell camera. 'We know that violence and weapons causes misery on our streets and we would ask for the public's help in coming forward with any bit of information they have so we can find the people responsible.' There is currently no registration system for owning a crossbow and no requirement for a licence. But it is illegal for anyone under 18 to buy or own one, with anyone carrying a crossbow in public without a reasonable excuse facing up to four years behind bars. Last year, a convicted stalker was shot dead by police in London after he broke into a house wielding two of the weapons. Bryce Hodgson had been convicted of a five-year court restraining order after he entered a woman's bedroom without consent, sent text messages demanding that she open her door and described his sick sexual fantasies. Earlier this year, Kyle Clifford, 26, was sentenced to a whole life term after using a crossbow to murder BBC racing commentator John Hunt's wife and two daughters. Ivan Toney fumes 'I HATE London' after England star's £197K Lamborghini is broken into after returning from his new home in Saudi Arabia

Ivan Toney suffered damage to his prize Lamborghini on his return to London from the former Brentford striker's new home in Saudi Arabia. The England international booked a move to Al-Ahli last summer amid feverish speculation over his future plans. After inking an alleged £20million-a-year deal with the Saudi Pro League side, Toney jetted off to join his new side in the Kingdom's second city, Jeddah. The 29-year-old has since secured the Asian Champions League title after their 2-0 victory against Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale. The move to Saudi came just over six months on from his return to football after Toney had served his eight-month ban for breaching the Football Association's gambling regulations. Toney's 232 breaches of the association's laws took place between 2017 and 2021, and the player was later diagnosed with a gambling addiction. His new home in Saudi Arabia outlaws gambling altogether. But Toney has since returned to the United Kingdom during his off-season - and appeared to soon discover why he opted for a move away from his home country. Sharing a picture on his Instagram Story, Toney showed that the window of his Lamborghini Urus - worth an upwards of £197,000 - had been smashed and the car broken into by would-be thieves. It is not known whether Toney had anything stolen from inside the vehicle, but the forward was incensed, captioning an image of the damage: 'This is why I hate London'. Just three days before the crime, Toney had shown off his car in a video posted on social media of the striker training with his two sons, Ivan Junior and Ikari, who he shares with long-term partner Katie Bio. Toney, who was born in Northampton, previously made the capital his home for the four seasons he spent at Brentford, after his move to the side from Peterborough United. But in November last year, Toney is believed to have revealed his new fondness for Saudi stemmed from Jeddah's supposed similarities to another British city. It is claimed that Toney thinks that his new home shares the same qualities he liked in Milton Keynes, where he used to live - and started his relationship with Bio. Toney and Bio are believed to have received special dispensation to live together out of wedlock in the devout Muslim country - receiving the same privileges as Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.
