Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky haven't played since June 29, but she had the entire WNBA world buzzing on the Fourth of July.
Reese, the No. 7 pick from the 2024 WNBA Draft, has been extremely productive for the Sky this season, averaging 12.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. Earlier this year, she became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach at least 500 career points and 500 career rebounds. The LSU product also became the fastest player in league history to reach 150 rebounds and 50 assists in a single season.
Most WNBA analysts expect Reese to be named an All-Star reserve this Sunday. That'd be quite the honor for her.
Judging by Reese's latest social media activity, she's not worried about the final roster spots for this year's All-Star Game. In fact, she's simply enjoying the holiday weekend.
On Friday night, Reese posted a few swimsuit photos on Instagram along with the caption "some-BODY."
This post from Reese went viral, receiving over 224,000 likes in just 13 hours.
Although she limited the amount of comments on her post, Reese received plenty of love from her fans.
Reese is no stranger to turning heads in a swimsuit. In 2023, she made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut. She was photographed by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles.
"I had on thong bathing suits and I didn't think I was going to be comfortable, but [everyone] made me feel really comfortable," Reese said. "I work out a lot. I embrace my body and who I am and every mark on my body. I probably feel the sexiest in a bathing suit."
If Reese is ever open to a return, SI Swimsuit would probably love to have her be part of the magazine again.
For now, Reese is rocking to the beat of her own drum.

New York Giants' Russell Wilson sees fashion brand make big screen debut

Russell Wilson's name is hot again. First, he signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants to be with their starting quarterback this season, and now comes the news that one of his off-the-field ventures is taking off as well. From Pro Football Network: Wilson has generated a whopping $305,362,520 from his NFL career, but he is also building a fortune off the field. Wilson launched his first clothing brand, Good Man Brand, in 2016 before teaming up with his wife, Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Ciara, for his signature clothing line, 3BRAND. A little over four years after the launch, the brand has now made its big screen debut in Marvel's 'Ironheart,' and the couple can't hide their happiness over achieving the significant milestone. Wilson shared his happiness over the milestone achievement in an Instagram post and wrote, 'MARVEL baby! @3Brand making our debut on the big screen! Grateful to be in Episode 1 #IronHeart on @DisneyPlus #INSPIRE.' Wilson signed a one-year, $10.5 million deal with Big Blue in March. It is an incentive-laden contract that could net the 10-time Pro Bowler over $21 million if all benchmarks are achieved. The Giants, who have had both quality and depth issues at quarterback over the past six seasons, have brought in not only Wilson but Jameis Winston as well. Then they added Jaxson Dart in the draft to bulk up the quarterback room even more. Wilson is expected to play as long as he is effective this season, but many experts expect the Giants to give Dart at least a test run in his rookie year.

Wimbledon: Ben Shelton pleaded for extra time off for his sister at Morgan Stanley. It worked

LONDON -- LONDON (AP) — Ben Shelton launched a public plea for his sister to get some extra time off from her job at investment bank Morgan Stanley so she could remain at Wimbledon to cheer for him. It worked. After advancing to face Italy's Lorenzo Sonego on Monday in the fourth round, Shelton spoke in an on-court interview in front of a crowd that included his sister, Emma, and his girlfriend, U.S. national soccer team star Trinity Rodman. 'I've been playing well this week. It's not just been me here. I have a great team. My parents are here. My grildfriend's here. Also, my sister's here. She's been here for every match that I've played this tournament so far. She's been the lucky charm,' said the 10th-seeded Shelton, a 22-year-old American who has appeared in two Grand Slam semifinals. 'But she has work back in the U.S., starting on Monday. She works for Morgan Stanley.' That drew some boos from spectators as Emma covered her face with her hands. 'If any of you all have some (connections) and get her a couple extra days off so she can (stay and) we can keep this rolling,' Shelton continued after his 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory over Marton Fucsovics of Hungary on Saturday, 'that'd be great.' Sure enough, hours later, Emma posted a short video on Instagram in which Ben is heard asking her, 'You got the week off or what?' She jumps up and down with her arms raised and a wide smile, and Ben says, 'Shoutout, Morgan Stanley.' The caption reads 'thank you MS' with three blue heart emojis and 'return flight: cancelled.' beat Sonego in the Australian Open quarterfinals in January.
