Following a soggy start to the summer holidays, Scots can enjoy a week of warm and dry weather.
Thousands of music fans are set to descend on Glasgow Green on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Punters will see huge names such as 50 Cent, The Script, Snow Patrol and Gracie Abrams take to the stage.
And they will need to remember to lather on the suncream as the weekend is set to be a scorcher.
On Friday, temperatures will hit 26C, before Saturday sees highs of a sizzling 28C.
It will drop down to 26C again on the final day on Sunday - where it will be partly cloudy at night.
It's a far cry from the weather at last year's event when revellers had to deal with wind.
The city will be hotter than the Canary Islands hotspot of Tenerife which will see 22C all weekend.
Edinburgh is also set to see highs of 28C on Saturday, with temperatures of 23C in Aberdeen.
The Met Office long range forecast from July 11 to July 20 states: "Many parts of the UK are expected to be part way through a period of high temperatures and humidity at the start of this period.
Grumpy Wimbledon fans left with sticky fingers as record-breaking weather sees ice creams melt before getting to court
"The duration, geographical extent and intensity of the heat are all rather uncertain at present, but there is the potential for some very hot weather to be realised, especially across some inland southern and eastern areas.
"With this also comes the possibility of thunderstorms, in part because of the high temperatures, but also in association with any frontal systems moving in from the west, which would ultimately usher in cooler and fresher conditions.
"Towards the latter part of the period, northwestern areas stand a greater chance of experiencing rather more changeable conditions, with drier and occasionally hotter spells more likely further southeast."
The Met Office definition of a 'heatwave' is when the mercury breaks 25C for three days in succession.
It comes as fans have been dealt a major blow ahead of the festival.
Strike action by Glasgow subway workers will escalate this month when workers walk out for an additional three days - during TRNSMT.
Unite the union announced that staff will walk out on July 11, 12 and 13.

Belly dancer influencer arrested for ‘using seduction techniques' and ‘exposing sensitive areas' in viral online vids

Online sensation Linda Martino, originally from Italy, was arrested for "immortality" in strict Egypt two weeks ago - and is to remain in prison for another fortnight. Videos of her performing in popular clubs to various Egyptian hit songs have garnered millions of views across various social media platforms. But an investigation was reportedly triggered by one of her most shared videos, where Linda performs in a cabaret in a traditional belly dancing costume. The Cairo prosecutor's office accuses the young woman of having "used seduction techniques and provocative dances to incite vice". According to authorities' report, in some videos Linda "deliberately wore provocative clothing and performed dance movements with sexual allusions" They say she therefore disrespected "public decency" and the "values of family and society". Investigators also argued the artist "appeared in indecent clothing, deliberately exposing sensitive areas of her body, in clear violation of social values". She denies all the charges against her and claims she practices her profession in compliance with the law. The dancer said after being arrested: "I have the permits to practice my activity and all the videos circulating on social media are normal. "It is a permitted dance performance and does not contain anything that violates or goes against public morals." Irish TD Paul Murphy detained in Egypt and passport confiscated after bus stopped amid March to Gaza She added that the content she records is "only for entertainment purposes". Whilst belly dancing isn't prohibited in Egypt, videos on social media have to comply with the country's values. Egypt has increased its cruel crackdowns on artists and influences accused of offending public morals. Under Abdel Fattah Al Sisi's government, at least five belly dancers have been horrifically jailed on charges similar to those given to Linda. The Pharaoh nation sucks in a staggering 18 million tourists each year, and the industry props up around 10 per cent of the whole economy. But beyond the plush resorts of the popular Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada - Egypt is covering up its dark underbelly. The country's brutal police force deals in bribes and locks people up on bogus charges, including Brit holidaymakers. Egypt's picture-postcard image is being tested, with a former British ambassador to the country recently branding it a "police state". 5 Videos of her performing in popular clubs to various Egyptian hit songs have garnered millions of views Credit: Instagram

The group were then booked to headline the city's O2 Academy instead - a show that sold out in 80 seconds. The group will arrive in Glasgow fresh from being one of the hottest topics at Glastonbury, where they led expletive-laden chants about Sir Keir prime minister had previously called for the band to be dropped from the chants occurred again at the weekend when the trio - consisting of Chara, DJ Provai, and Moglai Bap - supported rock band Fontaines D.C at London's Finsbury Park. Attention now turns to whether they will react to comments previously made by Scotland's political Minister John Swinney was among those who said Kneecap should not be allowed to perform at TRNSMT earlier this year, when the controversy first began. Kneecap are no strangers to political statements or clashes with governments. The band's name is a reference to kneecapping, a punishment deployed by paramilitaries during the Troubles when they would shoot people in the recent months have seen the group's notoriety dramatically was charged with a terror offence over the display of a flag in support of proscribed organisation Hezbollah at a London gig in November last was released on unconditional bail after appearing in a London court on 18 band also faced criticism after footage emerged from a 2023 gig appearing to show one member saying: "The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP." Those comments were condemned by Katie Amess, whose father - Conservative MP Sir David Amess - was murdered in 2021 while holding a constituency group apologised to the families of Sir David and Jo Cox, the Labour MP murdered in 2016. Kneecap said footage of their comments and of them holding the Hezbollah flag had been taken out of group claim the controversy is part of a smear campaign against them, due to their support for Palestine and criticism of Israel's actions in Gaza, which they describe as band said they received death threats and were dropped by their booking agent after displaying messages about Gaza during a set at US music festival Coachella in April. Why were Kneecap dropped from TRNSMT? The row over Kneecap's MP comments saw Swinney intervene to say the group had "crossed a line" and should not play TRNSMT, which takes place on Glasgow Green every said: "It would be unacceptable to perform on such a stage given the fact their comments are so beyond the pale."Organisers DF Concerts did not comment at the time but Police Scotland became involved on 22 force said a "significant policing operation" would be required if the trio were allowed to play at the festival. It also insisted any decision on who performs at TRNSMT was for organisers to days later, Kneecap posted on social media: "Due to concerns expressed by the police about safety at the event, Kneecap can no longer perform at TRNSMT."To the thousands of people who bought tickets, flights and hotels to see us play, we are sorry... it is out of our hands."Glasgow has always been a huge city for us. We've played there many many times, with no issues - ever. Make of that what you will."DF Concerts said it had made the decision due to the concerns raised by police. The group and their furious electro-rap have attracted praise and criticism in equal measure since they emerged on the music scene. They became involved in legal action against the UK government after the then Conservative administration blocked them from receiving a £15,000 funding had successful applied for a grant to support UK-registered artists in global markets in December intervened to stop this, saying the group behind songs such as Get Your Brits Out should not benefit from British a court hearing sided with the group and awarded them the original amount of £14, well as music, the band also released an acclaimed film last year, which was nominated for six Baftas.
