Kim Soo Hyun
and the late Kim Sae Ron's case has taken another legal turn as the actor has filed for another criminal lawsuit against the bereaved's family and YouTuber Kim Se Eui. In the latest proceedings, the actor's legal representation has stated the matter, citing "
absurd and baseless lies
" as the reason behind the new lawsuit.
Kim Soo Hyun sues Sae Ron's family and YouTuber again
The 'It's Okay Not To Be Okay' actor has filed another lawsuit against the family members of the late actress, as well as the YouTuber Kim Se Eui. This time, the case focuses on the May 7 press conference that was held by the parties involved. As per reports from IMBC Entertainment on June 23, it specifically says that the event was used to disseminate an
AI-produced audio file
of the late actress to incriminate Kim Soo Hyun.
As per statements from the actor's legal representative firm, the alleged proof presented during the aforementioned press conference was nothing short of "absurd and baseless lies."
What was in the audio clip?
The audio clip that was shared by Kim Sae Ron's family during the press conference held the actress's voice as she confessed to an alleged whistleblower about her relationship with
Soo Hyun
while she was still a minor. During the press event, the family had also alleged that the whistleblower situated in the United States had been attacked by two individuals, one of Korean descent and one of Chinese descent. This occurred allegedly after the person had refused Soo Hyun's attempt to give 4 billion KRW to silence the video.

Almost all of the claims made during the press conference were slowly debunked by authorities after investigations.
Kim Soo Hyun's claims
As per the actor's legal representatives, the audio played at the event was false and fabricated using AI technology. They claimed that the fabricated content directly contributed to the family's and the YouTuber's attempt to frame Soo Hyun.
Their statement read, "Kim Se Ui and the late Kim Sae Ron's family went beyond merely spreading false information based on a forged audio file. They even filed a criminal complaint against actor Kim Soo Hyun, accusing him of false charges and violations of the Child Welfare Act. This is a clear and serious case of false accusation.'
Previous case filing
Kim Soo Hyun has already filed a lawsuit against the actress's family and the YouTuber. Seeking approximately 12 million KRW in damages, the actor sued them for defamation and filed criminal complaints under the Sexual Crimes Special Act.
