GMA Network12-06-2025

'Sang'gre' has released an epic new primer and it's magical.
The 11-minute video presented a deep dive into this new chapter, starting with Mitena's (Rhian Ramos) birth as an Ivtre or 'kaluluwa,' and 'sanggol na hindi na dapat ipinanganak.' After getting abandoned by her parents, Mitena experiences hardships in a prison cell and vows revenge.
'Wawasakin ko ang buong Encantadia!' she said.
Meanwhile, in the human world, Terra (Bianca Umali) uses her powers to act as a local hero. She also asks for advice from Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), who tells her that she would be the leader in saving Encantadia.
The rest of the new generation of Sang'gres, Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Deia (Angel Guardian), also begin training and fighting to save Encantadia from Mitena.
In the video, a face-off happened between Mitena and the Sang'gres, saying they are not afraid to use their brilyante and powers to fight each other.
The video, which has generated more than 35,000 views on YouTube as of writing, also revealed more cast members.
The stars of the 2016 'Encantadia' reboot — Glaiza as Pirena, Gabbi Garcia as Alena, Sanya Lopez as Danaya, and Kylie Padilla as Amihan — are all set to reprise their roles.
Manilyn Reynes as Mona, Boboy Garovillo as Javier, Benjie Paras as Kapre, Sherilyn Reyes as Katrina, Therese Malvar as Dina, Vince Maristela as Akiro, and Pam Prinster as Cami, play characters in the human world.
Meanwhile, the world of Mine-A-Ve features Gabby Eigenmann as Zaur, Bianca Manalo as Olgana, Jon Lucas as Daron, Jamie Wilson as Ednu, Shuvee Etrata as Veshdita, and Billie Hakenson as Kosshava.
Finally, the world of Encantadia is made up of Solenn Heussaff as Cassiopea, Mikee Quintos as Lira, Kate Valdez as Mira, Ysabel Ortega as Armea, Cheska Inigo as Mashna Mayca, Luis Hontiveros as Soldarius, Gab Gueco as Tukman, Kiel Gueco as Mantuk, and Noel Urbano as the voice of Imaw.
The late Ricky Davao has a special role as Governor Emil Salvador.
'Sang'gre' premieres on June 16 at 8 p.m. on GMA Prime. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News

Here's a closer look at Tarah Valencia's Miss Supranational 2025 finals gown

Rian Fernandez, the Filipino designer behind Tarah Valencia's Miss Supranational 2025 coronation night gown, shared a closer look at the Filipina beauty queen's show-stopping ensemble. On Instagram, Rian said that the architectural blue and pink cape gown was designed to make a bold and fashion-forward statement for Tarah. The dress had a dramatic off-the-shoulder neckline and exaggerated sculptural sleeves and came with matching mesh gloves encrusted with the same jewels placed on the dress. Tarah also shared gorgeous portraits of herself wearing the gown on her Instagram. "Draped in the hues of the sea, I rise like the power of the wave — calm, powerful, and proud," she wrote. "Every step. Every glide. Every tear. Every sweat dropped. Every lesson learned and unlearned. And every one of you has brought me here. I will forever be humbled for the realisation that I was meant to be here. That God saw this simple girl from Baguio worthy to represent a country so fierce and rich," she added. Adding dramatic flair and softness to the structured design are the flowing lavender chiffon panels, which cascade from the sleeves to the floor. Tarah made an impressive 3rd runner-up finish during the finals night held in Poland. In her introduction video, Tarah put the spotlight on her hometown, Baguio City. Chavit Singson launches 'Chavit: Legend of the Philippines' in hopes to educate and inspire globally

Chavit Singson has officially launched his book, 'Chavit: Legend of the Philippines,' which aims to offer a look into the life and lessons of the former Ilocos Sur Governor. On Friday evening at the Peninsula Manila in Makati, Singson unveiled the book at an event graced by many of his friends, including showbiz personalities Vina Morales, Pops Fernandez, Anabelle Rama, and Eddie Gutierrez. 'Chavit: Legend of the Philippines' is not a traditional autobiography but a sprawling, in-depth interview with almost 700 questions answered by Singson. Singson said that a pivotal lesson he wishes readers to glean from the book, particularly concerning his role in politics, is the supreme importance of 'credibility' for success. 'If they want to be successful, kailangan 'yung credibility nila [ay] huwag masira. Kasi like me, ang iniingatan ko, isa lang salita ko. Nobody is perfect, pero kung magsabi ka, kailangan totoo,' he said. 'Nobody's perfect. Magkamali ka, just say sorry. Kasi 'yun ang kabilin-bilinan ng tatay ko. 'Pag nawala ang credibility mo, wala na maniwala sayo. So very important ang credibility. 'Yun ang kaingat-ingatan ko.' Photo: Carby Rose Basina/GMA Integrated News 'Chavit: Legend of the Philippines' is authored by Polish author Maciej Mikurda, who admitted that one of the biggest challenges for him was compressing Singson's rich and colorful life into a single volume. 'I think the governor's life could fill like 10 books, not only just one, but we focused on the most important facts,' he said. Mikurda, who devoted almost 1.5 years to writing the book, said that his focus was placed on the most important facts while also deliberately incorporating Singson's personal beliefs, values, and the rules he lives by to provide deeper insight. The book's publisher, Riza Hansen, shared that they plan to distribute the books to many students across the country, as well as to translate the book into 15 languages, with an Arabic translation already underway, aiming to make it accessible to over 5 billion people worldwide. This ambitious endeavor includes organizing book launches in 20 world capitals across six continents. 'We want as many people in the world as possible to know who Chavit is and how amazing his story is, and to understand the beautiful history of our country, the Philippines,' she said. Outside of politics, Singson is also involved in the entertainment industry, helping to produce projects, including the recent film 'Samahan ng mga Makasalanan,' which starred David Licauco, Sanya Lopez, and more. He teased that he has another upcoming project with GMA Network, which is coming 'very soon.' 'Ewan ko kung kailan, pero nakahanda na. Sinabi sa akin nakahanda na lahat. So 'yung formal na ano na lang, launching,' he said. 'I just want to help the movie industry.' —JCB, GMA Integrated News
