Govt is moving ahead with TG Rising-2047 Vision: Sridhar Babu
Sridhar Babu said that the government has filled 60, 000 government jobs in the first year itself and achieved an investment of Rs 3 lakh crores and are creating one lakh jobs in the private sector. The government is providing financial assistance to those studying civils under the Rajiv Abhaya Hastam scheme. The construction of Young India Integrated Model Schools in a vast area of 25 acres has been started and undertaken the construction of 58 schools.
With the aim of providing international quality education to students from all social groups, Young India Integrated Residential School will be built in Manakondur in the district.
This monsoon, the fertilizer requirement for agriculture was 26,957 metric tons, and 30,403 metric tons of reserves were made available to farmers. Saidapur mandal was selected as a pilot project to implement Bhu Bharati in the district and revenue awareness seminars were organised in every village of the mandal, Sridhar Babu said.
About 77, 083 people applied for Indiramma houses. Out of this, 11,575 houses have been sanctioned to the district in the first phase.

Act to solve Chandni Chowk issues, Delhi BJP writes to mayor
New Delhi: Delhi BJP has joined traders in addressing concerns about deteriorating sanitation conditions and encroachment on the main road of Chandni Chowk. In a letter to mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor provided a detailed, point-by-point account of various issues, including problems caused by proliferating rickshaws, inconsistent waste collection and unregulated encroachment. Kapoor claimed that the Chandni Chowk beautification project, costing nearly Rs 99 crore, failed due to the previous Delhi govt's flawed planning. "A beautification project was initiated under Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation on a 1.3km stretch. AAP in Delhi govt divided the responsibility of upkeep of this place between PWD and MCD without allocating any maintenance budget," he said. MCD was given three tasks—rickshaw regulation, pink toilet construction and prevention of encroachments, and in 2024, it was handed the job of cleaning the main market, Kapoor added. "Not only were all four tasks poorly handled, but a new issue emerged in the past year—unauthorised food shops and stalls," he claimed. AAP didn't comment on the charges. DC directs officials to expedite crop survey, promote schemes for farmers
Mandya: Deputy commissioner Kumara has directed agriculture department officials to accelerate and ensure accuracy in the ongoing crop survey. He said that crucial estimates for agricultural and horticultural crop areas, disaster compensation under the NDRF, and crop loss reports are all based on this data. Speaking at a review meeting on Tuesday, Kumara instructed that Private Residents (PRs) who have not met crop survey targets be replaced with efficient personnel. He noted encouraging progress in the 2024–25 crop survey cycle, with area coverage reaching 91.5% for the pre-monsoon season, 96.4% in monsoon, 97.7% post-monsoon, and 95.8% for summer crops. Highlighting the achievements under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), he said Rs 39.09 crore in compensation was disbursed to farmers during the 2023-24 season. For the current year, 3,708 farmers have already submitted applications, and he urged officials to launch awareness drives to expand enrolment. To spread awareness about crop insurance, jingles are being played through Raitha Sanjeevini vehicles, autorickshaws, garbage collection vans, and at KSRTC bus stands.
