NFL Network's annual America's Game marathon continues to skip Jon Gruden, Rich Dalrymple episodes
On America's birthday, NFL Network televises a marathon of the America's Game series. Each episode consists of a one-hour look at every Super Bowl champion — starting with the 1966 Packers and culminating with the 2023 Chiefs. (The newest episode, focusing on the 2024 Eagles, has yet to be released.)
As noted by Tyler Dunne of GoLongTD.com, the 58-volume library includes only 56. Two are omitted — and they have been, dating back to 2022.
Still gone is the episode devoted to the 2002 Buccaneers (featuring Gruden). He was forced to resign as coach of the Raiders during the 2021 season after emails he'd sent years earlier were leaked from the files of an investigation into the Washington franchise. He has a lawsuit still pending against the league and Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Also omitted is the 1995 Cowboys edition, which is narrated by former P.R. chief Rich Dalrymple. He resigned abruptly in 2022. Not long after he made his exit, he was linked to not one but two incidents of alleged voyeurism. Allegations that he secretly recorded the Cowboys' cheerleaders in their locker room reportedly resulted in a $2.4 million settlement.

That said, the Chiefs couldn't be any happier as well when Humphrey was voted among the Top 100 NFL players of 2025. The ranking, which was voted on by the players themselves, saw Humphrey land at No. 93. However, instead of excitement, the Kansas City faithful expressed disappointment over Creed Humphrey's ranking. Several fans claimed that he deserved to be higher on the list, especially since he's considered by many as the best in his position. "93 is wild for the best center in football," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Are there 92 players better than him? The guy is one of a kind!" A fan posted, "Best center in the league at 93 is INSANE." "To[o] low on the list," a supporter remarked. New theory links Steelers roster-building strategy to the Eagles blueprint
A page from the Eagles' blueprint may have influenced the Steelers' offseason strategy. There's a cost that comes with greatness. Winners become targets or influencers, depending on the paradigm. Think about what you've seen in the Philadelphia Eagles organization. Their coordinators are poached. So are members of their front office. Heck, their third defensive tackle on the depth chart from last season's roster became the highest-paid player in the history of the New England Patriots organization. On the field, the league's best teams get every team's best shot. Stop letting people lie to you. Fans will tell you that these guys always treat every game equally because they're professional athletes. Honestly, that isn't the case. Teams circle specific teams on their schedule. The Super Bowl champions always qualify. Philadelphia faces a gauntlet next season, as they do every season, but this will be different. During the most recent Super Bowl run, they adopted the 'Let's Hunt' mantra. Now, they're the hunted. They'll need to be both mentally and physically sharp. The task of defending their title is officially underway. The Steelers seemingly borrowed from Philly's winning formula There's another side to being a winning organization. Two words come to mind: model franchise. Teams needing a change, reboot, or spark hire Eagles coordinators and front office members because they hope some of the mojo rubs off on them. The NFL is a copycat league. It's also common to see inferior teams borrow from another's scheme or blueprint. CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr recently provided some evidence of such. Remember that Pittsburgh Steelers' trade for D.K. Metcalf? Does their situation and a move Philadelphia made a few years ago remind you of anything familiar? Kerr certainly seems to think so. "Metcalf has been one of the most productive wide receivers since he's entered the NFL, a consistent deep-ball threat with the ability to change a game. He'll be the No. 1 wide receiver with Pittsburgh and an easy target to thrive with Aaron Rodgers... Metcalf's numbers should improve in Pittsburgh as he's the focal point of a good passing game. Would it be surprising if Metcalf has the same impact in Pittsburgh as A.J. Brown has had in Philadelphia?" Kerr ranked recent trades based on the acquired player's new situation (i.e., chance of making an impact). He placed the Steelers' D.K. Metcalf acquisition atop his list. Sure, teams make their move for elite talent and trade for wide receivers all the time, but maybe Kerr is right. Depending on how this works out, we may look back and draw some parallels between Metcalf's impact on the Steel City and Brown's mark left on the City of Brotherly Love. Stay tuned.

Eagles news: Details on major Lincoln Financial Field renovations that may be coming
Lincoln Financial Field could be in line for a major facelift. Time certainly has flown. It's been a long time since we watched the Philadelphia Eagles end an era at Veterans Stadium with a depressing loss in the NFC Championship Game. Curse those Tampa Bay Buccaneers! Still, despite a sad ending to a wonderful era, no Ronde Barber pick-six or Joe Jurevicius dash down the sideline can erase the memories of that dump we all held in high regard. Several months later, Philadelphia opened Lincoln Financial Field. Their first opponent was those same Buccaneers. Unfortunately, the night did not go as planned. Eagles fans would have to endure seeing their team open an era in their new stadium in the same manner they closed the last one with a crushing loss. Cheer up, though. This story is a happy one because Philadelphia has certainly bounced back since then. Since 2003, "The Linc," affectionately known as such, has hosted five NFC Championship Games, four of which resulted in victories that secured the Eagles' spot in the Super Bowl. This period has marked the best era of Eagles football that we have experienced. However, a stadium that many new fans grew up in is in need of renovations, and changes may be on the way. Imagine seeing Philadelphia Eagles games under a retractable roof. What an era of NFL football! We've seen new stadiums built. We've seen major renovations, and by the looks of things, the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Commanders are all building new homes. (Sheesh... It's about time for the Commanders.) The Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans are already building new homes, and there are whispers of changes in the City of Brotherly Love. The Eagles' lease expires in 2032. Fear not. They aren't going anywhere, but CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr reports something could be afoot. "Lincoln Financial Field is still in good shape and has been upgraded with renovations over the past two decades, but the stadium is 22 years old and heading into its 23rd season hosting the Eagles. For comparison, Veterans Stadium turned 22 in 1993 and lasted just nine more years before making way for Lincoln Financial Field. "The Vet" was in significantly worse shape than "The Linc," which made it an urgent need to be replaced over the last leg of its lifespan." So, what does that mean? New stadium? Renovations? What if they made some upgrades and slapped a roof on the place? "Upgrades to the stadium would be paramount, but the Eagles could alter the exterior of the stadium as well -- using the land as a foundation for a significant change. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie is committed towards getting the Super Bowl to Philadelphia, which could pave the way for Lincoln Financial Field to transform into a retractable roof stadium... This isn't out of the realm of possibility." In past years, we have seen concerts. We have seen Kevin Hart host a comedy show there (and record it for a Netflix release). We've seen other non-football events, such as WrestleMania XL. The FIFA Club World Cup made The Linc its backdrop in 2025. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played on its field, too. Here's about as plain a statement as can be made. Jeffrey Lurie doesn't just want a cool football field. He wants a sports and entertainment megacomplex.
