CP Group Announces Nearly 25,000 SF of New Leasing Activity at One and Two Ravinia in Atlanta, Ga.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 22, 2025--
CP Group, a vertically-integrated commercial real estate owner-operator and developer across the Sunbelt, today announced that it has executed nearly 25,000 square feet of leasing agreements at One and Two Ravinia – two 17-story office towers totaling 800,000 square feet in the Dunwoody neighborhood of Atlanta.
Situated in one of metro Atlanta's most prestigious, well-known suburban office parks, One and Two Ravinia offers a prime Central Perimeter address directly adjacent to the Perimeter Mall and steps from a wide variety of dining and retail establishments. CP Group's investment in the buildings, including the redevelopment of its on-site amenity offerings and common areas, as well as the addition of flexible, move-in-ready spec suites, has led to a wave of leasing activity, bringing five new tenants to the property.
Glenn Kolker, Preston Menning, and Lauren Slappey of Stream Realty represent the landlord as the exclusive leasing agents for the buildings.
'Today's business leaders are seeking a workplace experience that prioritizes both convenience and modern amenities — and Ravinia delivers on both,' said Scott Barr, Senior Vice President at CP Group. 'In an office market where flight-to-quality continues to drive leasing decisions, the newly built spec suites, sweeping views, and seamless accessibility have positioned Ravinia as a standout choice for companies looking to elevate their workplace experience and attract top talent.'
CP Group recently completed a multi-million-dollar capital improvements program across One and Two Ravinia. Enhancements spanning the two towers include lobby upgrades, renovation and expansion of the café and coffee bar, complete with outside seating, and the addition of a modern tenant lounge also with outdoor seating to provide comfortable spaces for employees to meet, host, and collaborate.
CP Group also upgraded the onsite multi-room conference facility that seats up to 150 and introduced 85,000-square-feet of premium spec suites, ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 square feet, as part of its 'worCPlaces' flexible workspace offering. This program is designed to offer customized, move-in-ready suites that meet the needs of companies seeking adaptable yet scalable office environments for evolving teams. CP Group built seven spec suites on the 16 th and 17 th floors at the end of 2024, five of which have already been leased – with the remaining two currently in negotiations – all within just six months of delivery.
In addition to these new renovations and upgrades, One and Two Ravinia also offer a 500-room Crowne Plaza Hotel, shuttle service to Perimeter Mall and MARTA station, a state-of-the-art fitness center, private electric vehicle charging stations, multiple outdoor workspaces, a putting green, and more.
Tenants of One and Two Ravinia have consistently praised the prime location as one of the property's most compelling features, particularly the immediate highway access it affords to I-285; seamless connectivity to Ga. 400, I-75, and I-85; and proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

New Mexico oil and gas leases land $58M

Federal officials notched just over $58 million in revenue from leasing 16 parcels of public land in New Mexico to oil and gas producers, the Interior Department announced Thursday. Seven companies won bids for the 7,500 acres of public land, which can now be explored and developed following environmental reviews. The leases are for 10-year terms. In pursuit of energy 'dominance,' the Trump administration has focused intensely on the oil and gas sector, seeking to boost domestic output and strip away regulations. Advertisement Thursday's lease sale was the first to occur after Congress earlier this month passed a budget package that cut oil and gas royalty rates down to a minimum of 12.5 percent, lower than the 16.67 percent that had been passed into law during the Biden administration. Oil and gas royalties — which are a percentage of the value of publicly owned oil and gas that producers must pay the government — are split between federal authorities and the state where the drilling occurs.

I'm an Economist: The No. 1 Economic Indicator I Rely On

Economists use a variety of tools and data to predict how well or poorly the economy will do in the near-term. Experts can analyze figures like the gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment rates, inflation, commodity prices and interest rates, according to a fact sheet published on the Library of Congress website. Explore More: For You: But what's the number one indicator economists rely on to forecast the country's financial future? Economists we spoke with agreed that GDP is one of the most important factors — but it may not tell the whole story. The Relevance of GDP 'GDP growth or decline would probably be the standard answer,' said Chris Motola, financial analyst at '[While] it's certainly not the worst [indicator] to use, it can fail to capture what's being experienced on the ground.' Stephan Shipe, Ph.D., CFA, CFP®, a finance professor at Wake Forest University and founder of Scholar Financial Advising, agreed. 'When people ask me for the top economic indicators, the standard trio is GDP, unemployment and inflation,' he said. 'But I don't think any one of those tells the full story in today's environment.' The Atlanta Federal Reserve's GDPNow tool estimated real GDP growth at 2.4% in the second quarter of 2025, which would indicate healthy growth. 'For the United States, a healthy growth rate is around 2%,' said Michael Snipes, associate professor of instruction, Economics at University of South Florida. However, he cautioned that faster growth could be a problem. 'It is possible for economies to grow too quickly,' he said. Shipe noted that GDP can also be artificially inflated by government spending. 'A country can show growth on paper, even if it's just racking up debt,' he said. I'm an Economist: Other Economic Indicators Shipe said he's more inclined to rely on inflation rates, specifically the Consumer Price Index (CPI), as a key economic indicator. 'Prices don't lie. If costs are rising, you have to explain why,' he said. 'It's a market-driven signal that cuts through a lot of noise.' Motola said the Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI) would be his top choice for economic forecasting if he had to choose just one indicator. 'The LEI […] is a composite index that tracks 10 factors to check the temperature of the economy,' he explained. The LEI went down by 0.1% in May, after falling by 1.4% in April, according to a press release published by The Conference Board. Is the US Headed Toward a Recession? Motola and Shipe both said they don't see a recession on the horizon, although Motola said the falling LEI 'suggests a somewhat gloomy forecast for the economy.' 'The more pressing concern is long-term solvency, and how persistent inflation could pressure debt and entitlement systems down the road,' Shipe noted.
