realme's latest concept GT 7 with a 10,000 mAh battery is a power bank killer smartphone

Indian Express06-05-2025
On Tuesday, realme unveiled its latest concept phone, which could become the world's first mainstream smartphone with a massive 10,000 mAh battery—almost equivalent to a medium-sized power bank.
Despite packing a large 10,000 mAh battery, the phone has a slim profile and measures less than 8.5mm in thickness. Not just that, the device also weighs well under 200 grams, according to the company.

The phone features a semi-transparent back panel, offering users a glimpse of the technology inside. Based on the images shared by the company, the concept phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It runs on the latest Android 15-based realme UI 4. The smartphone seems to have a quad-curved display, possibly with a 120Hz refresh and FHD+ resolution.
Do note that this is just a concept phone, and the specifications of the commercial product may vary. Considering the recent trend of mid-range smartphones with massive batteries like the iQOO Z10 (review), the upcoming realme GT 7 series phone with a 10,000 mAh battery is likely to fall in the mid-range segment.
Enabling this innovation is an ultra-high silicon-content anode battery with an energy density of 887 Wh/L. To accommodate this new battery, realme has introduced a Mini Diamond Architecture, which reshapes the phone's internals to make space for the battery. This design is the result of over 60 international patents.
A phone featuring a 10,000 mAh battery will soon launch in India under the GT 7 branding. It is expected to offer multiple days of battery life on a single charge and is also likely to support fast charging technology to quickly refill the massive battery.
When it comes to smartphone battery and charging technology, realme has consistently been at the forefront. The company has already showcased innovations such as 320W concept charging and has delivered 240W and 150W charging on devices like the GT Neo 3 and GT 3, respectively.

Japanese Company Pays Rs 600 For Your Brainwaves And Transforms Them Into Art

A Japanese company is inviting customers to purchase their brainwave data, convert it into various formats and later sell it as art. The Tokyo-based firm called BWTC has attracted significant attention on social media for its offering of transforming the inner thoughts and emotions of people into works of modern art. Participants are urged to come to the BWTC Metaverse Store in the capital's Chiyoda district, where they are paid Rs 590 (1,000 Japanese yen), just for 100 seconds of brainwave scanning. Once this is done, the artwork is sold, with the company stating it was challenging the ideas of artistic creation. BWTC's slogan, "Buying Brainwaves", highlights that brainwave data can go beyond scientific graphs to become distinctive visual masterpieces. "We will convert the data into images and assign a price to each one. These works will eventually be publicly exhibited and sold," BWTC's operating team said, according to a report in South China Morning Post. Participants need to visit the shop, place the special brainwave-scanning device on their heads and wait for the machine to do its job. The unique brain activity of each participant is captured and instantly transformed into a personalised piece of art. "We purchased 185,300 seconds of brain waves from 1,853 people," the company claims on its website. The company has already held events at hotels and art spaces in Taiwan and other Japanese prefectures, showcasing its brainwave artwork. Notably, the artworks are put up for sale at a price determined by their "aesthetic value, the uniqueness of the data fluctuations and the participant's mindset during the scan". For instance, the brainwave artwork of a person watching a video of a tram during the scanning session was priced at Rs 8,201 (13,900 Japanese yen) while another whose thoughts were focused on food saw their piece valued at Rs 4,608 (7,810 yen).

From Internet Cafe to India's Top AI Astrology App: The Inspiring Journey Behind AstroVoice AI

India PR Distribution New Delhi [India], July 7: In 2007, a young 23-year-old computer graduate sat in a dimly lit internet cafe in Odisha, typing lines of code with hope in his eyes and fire in his heart. He didn't have a personal computer or even internet at home. But what he did have was a dream--to build something big. Capgemini Acquires AI firm WNS In All Cash Deal, Read Key Deal Details

New Delhi: French consulting and technology group Capgemini announced on Monday that it will acquire UK-based digital business process services firm WNS in an all-cash deal worth USD 3.3 billion (not including WNS's net financial debt). Capgemini will pay USD 76.50 per share, which is a 17 Percent premium over WNS's closing share price on July 3, and a 28 Percent premium over the average share price of the past 90 days. Here are 10 key points about the deal in straightforward language: Deal Purpose: Capgemini says this acquisition will help it become a leader in "Intelligent Operations," using advanced AI (like agentic AI, which can act independently) to help businesses automate and improve their processes. Board Approval: The boards of both Capgemini and WNS have approved the deal, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Premium Paid: The price per share (USD 76.50) is 17 Percent higher than WNS's last closing price and 28 percent higher than the average price over the last 90 days. WNS's Business: WNS has a strong business model with non-linear pricing and high profitability. Over the past three years, its revenue has grown by over 9% per year (in constant currency), reaching USD 1.27 billion in fiscal year 2025, with an 18.7 percent operating margin. Market Impact: Capgemini says that global companies need partners to help them transform and grow, which is driving demand for digital business process services. WNS is targeting revenue growth of 7-11 Percent for fiscal year 2026. Immediate Value: Capgemini expects the combination to quickly create value by allowing both companies to sell more services to each other's clients, and to better compete in the growing market for AI-powered business operations. Global Reach: The deal will make Capgemini a leader in digital business process services, with expertise across different industries and a global presence. Financial Impact: The combined digital BPS (business process services) revenues are expected to be about EUR 1.9 billion in 2024. Capgemini expects the acquisition to boost its revenue growth and operating margin right away, and to increase its earnings per share by 4 percent in 2026 (before synergies) and by 7 percent in 2027 (after synergies). Synergies: Capgemini expects to achieve additional revenue of EUR 100-140 million per year by 2027 from new business opportunities, and to save EUR 50-70 million per year from cost and operating efficiencies. AI Investments: The combination will also make use of Capgemini's significant investments in AI, including partnerships with Microsoft, Google, AWS, Mistral AI, and NVIDIA. Capgemini has stated that its financial targets for 2025 do not include this acquisition and remain unchanged: it expects revenue growth between -2.0% and +2.0% at constant currency, and an operating margin of 13.3-13.5 percent
