Jesurun Rak Sakyi to Rangers faces major hurdle as Crystal Palace change transfer rules
The Scottish Premiership side are keen to sign the England youth international on an initial loan with a £10million option to buy.
Rangers have already seen their bid to land the wide man thrown into doubt after the 22-year-old limped off during Palace's friendly clash with Crawley Town.

And while the full extent of the injury has get to emerge, Eagles' boss Glasner has moved to close the door on any more departures ahead of the Community Shield showdown with Liverpool on August 10 - unless new faces are brought in.
He told Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung: 'Even though all the players are still here, we haven't made the most of the transfer window so far.
"I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year.
'As of now, I have 17 outfield players. I hope we don't lose any more.
"If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible.'
The latest set-back in the pursuit Rak-Sakyi comes after Rangers boss Russell Martin admitted he's a player both he and the club's decision makers are keen to land.
Martin, speaking to Sky Sports News last week, said: "He's a player I like. We tried to take him to Southampton, it didn't quite happen. I like him and the recruitment staff like him, but how far that's gone... I'm not too sure.
"He's a really good player. We look at all sorts of different profiles that we think can help the team, it doesn't necessarily have to be one type of profile. Players are very different.
"We just need the ones with the right mentality who are desperate to come and play here. We'll see where we end up in four weeks' time."
Since then, alternative deals for wingers have emerged with Tottenham's teenage star Mikey Moore set to join the Glasgow giants on loan.
Go Ahead Eagles' star Oliver Antman is also a target - but Celtic's pursuit of teammate Jakob Breum could scupper any deal.

Reds starter Nick Lodolo leaves game against Cubs due to blister on index finger
CHICAGO (AP) — Cincinnati left-hander Nick Lodolo abruptly left Monday night's game against the Chicago Cubs with two outs in the bottom of the second inning with a blister on his left index finger. Lodolo retired the first five Cubs hitters. Then after throwing a strike on his first pitch to Justin Turner, Lodolo gestured toward his left hand. Manager Terry Francona jogged to the mound with a trainer for a brief discussion. Lodolo walked to the dugout and was replaced by Nick Martinez with the Reds ahead 1-0. Martinez got Turner to fly to right for the final out of the second. Lodolo entered at 8-6 with a 3.09 ERA. Astros All-Star Isaac Paredes forgoes surgery on 'severe' hamstring injury in hopes of returning this season
Houston Astros All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes has opted to forgo surgery on what the team described as a "severe" hamstring injury in hopes of returning to the lineup this season. General manager Dana Brown discussed the decision with reporters Monday. He said that Paredes had the option of undergoing surgery that would require six months off and end his season or to go through rehab, which would give him a chance to return to the lineup with the Astros in position to make the playoffs. 'He was given two choices — the choice of having surgery or rehabbing,' Brown said, per the Houston Chronicle. 'He selected to rehab it. His whole opinion on this is he wants to work hard to try to get back this season." Paredes sustained his injury while running the bases against the Seattle Mariners on July 19. He went through multiple rounds of imaging to diagnose the injury that Brown said Monday was a 'severe hamstring strain." Paredes also had a platelet-rich plasma injection and will continue to rest the injury before starting a rehab regimen. Before his injury, Paredes was slashing .259/.359/.470 with 19 home runs and 50 RBI. His effort earned him his second career All-Star Game selection in July. With Paredes injured, the Astros bolstered their infield by reuniting with shortstop Carlos Correa via a trade-deadline deal with the Minnesota Twins. They also added utility infielder Ramón Urías from the Baltimore Orioles. Brown called the potential surplus of infielders in the event of Paredes' return "a good problem to have." Houston entered Monday at 63-50 and with a three-game lead over the Seattle Mariners for first place in the AL West.

Warriors cop brutal new setback as anger mounts over NRL's response to illegal act
The Warriors' injury-plagued NRL season has gone from bad to worse after confirmation back-rower Jacob Laban has suffered a broken leg after an illegal tackle from Felise Kaufusi. The Dolphins star was hit with a two-game ban after the match review committee handed him a grade two dangerous contact charge for coming in as the third man and targeting the legs of the Warriors star in the tackle. But the Warriors are reportedly 'fuming' about the grading and the two-game ban for Kaufusi, after seeing their playe wiped out for the rest of the regular season, as a result of the tackle. It's understood the Auckland-based club are calling on the NRL to implement a change to their judiciary process that takes into account the extent of injury to players, before suspensions are handed down. Laban was in obvious pain after being hit low from Kaufusi in the second half of his side's heartbreaking late defeat to the Dolphins, with Faufusi subsequently sent to the sin bin. The Warriors forward was already wrapped up in the tackle by two other Dolphins defenders when Kaufusi entered the fray as the third man in and targeted his legs, causing them to twist awkwardly and leaving Laban crying out in agony. The back-rower was helped off the field by Warriors medical staff and played no further part in the contest as Jamayne Isaako snatched a 20-18 win for the Dolphins with a try in the dying stages. It's since been confirmed that Laban suffered a broken leg and is set to be sidelined for at least the next six weeks, continuing a wretched spate of injuries for the Warriors. They are already missing a host of first-team regulars including Mitch Barnett, Luke Metcalf, Rocco Berry and James Fisher-Harris and have seen their top-four hopes take a massive hit. Warriors question two-game ban for Felise Kaufusi And according to Code Sports, furious Warriors officials believe the match review committee should have upgraded Kaufusi's charge and handed him a longer suspension after learning the extent of Laban's injury. The NRL has maintained that charges for illegal acts are made on the basis of potential 'risk of injury', rather than the 'outcome of injury'. But the Warriors are unhappy that the charge was handed down to Kaufusi before they'd received confirmation of Laban's broken leg. And it's led to questions about why the NRL didn't choose to adopt a new rule brought in by the ARL Commission, that could have seen Kaufusi hit with a more significant suspension. The ARLC recently announced a change to the judiciary process that gives it powers to upgrade or downgrade charges, and even hand down fresh sanctions for on-field incidents. And the Warriors clearly believe Kaufusi's punishment is incongruous with the damage done to their player. "If you have two players in the tackle, and momentum is pretty much (stopped), that third man shouldn't be able to go in like that. A couple of years ago we saw Liam Knight get hit from behind and it pretty much destroyed every ligament in his knee. "The player cannot see it coming. And what's come into the game is they back into the tackle so they can see the third man coming in and spearing at the knee. And what's happened with that happening is we have crushers coming into the game, because of players turning and twisting looking for that third man."
