Elie Saab Resort 2026 Collection
With an eye to easy layering, Saab put his own spin on hero pieces like a denim jacket (here with macramé sleeves), one-and-done day dresses in English eyelet or a floral-printed knit, and fine knits, lacy lingerie tops, and travel-friendly sweaters that slouch just so.
From time to time, the designer ventured into youthful new territory. A polka-dot silk pajama top and shorts ensemble was worn under one of those blazers, for example. Picking up on an idea from past runway outings, a multi-colored cardigan and bralette twinset was paired with low-rise flares.
But since Saab's ladies live to shine, especially by night, the designer delivered with numbers like a mesh knit lingerie dress, a beige tweed winking with flecks of sky blue, or gradient gunmetal sequins on a gown or a jumpsuit. A sunburst halter dress was showered with crystals; a sunrise sequin effect shimmered in hues of gold, dusty pink, and mocha. Bags included a new iteration of The Wave—a collaboration with designer Marina Raphael—now with a bamboo handle.

Would You Wear the Dimes Square T-Shirt?
This week, H&M released a T-shirt referring to a small area of Lower Manhattan known by some as Dimes Square. The neighborhood, named for Dimes, a restaurant on Canal Street, emerged as a vibrant hot spot in the early days of the pandemic, serving as the backdrop for sometimes maskless gatherings of the city's writers, models, actors, artists and other unaffiliated provocateurs-about-town. Over the years, Dimes Square has become no less scene-y but a lot more ritzy, and it's now home to a swanky hotel, Nine Orchard, and upscale wine bars. Though H&M seems to be trying to project 'downtown cool' with this e-commerce image — down to the sunglasses and baggy jeans — these days many of the bars and restaurants are populated by Zyn-popping finance workers. Far from having a unified look, Dimes Square is an aesthetic slurry of fleece vests, streetwear, and luxury labels. In an edited conversation, members of the Styles desk — Stella Bugbee, Marie Solis and Alex Vadukul — and the Times critic Jon Caramanica, discuss this perplexing garment, which appears to be sold out online. STELLA BUGBEE: First of all, did any of you try to buy one? ALEX VADUKUL: I did not. And I'll be sleeping fine at night with that decision. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

Rare Jeff Buckley Live Footage To Screen With New Doc
Nearly 30 minutes of previously unreleased footage featuring the late Jeff Buckley performing solo at the Middle East in Cambridge, Ma., on Feb. 19, 1994, will be exclusively shown following theatrical screenings of the upcoming documentary It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley, which arrives on Aug. 8. 'Discovering this footage felt like a dream,' said director Amy Berg. 'I was instantly transported into that room, witnessing a barely discovered virtuosic talent alongside just a handful of others. I was left speechless — and more than a few tears were shed. It's an absolute pleasure to share this newly mastered footage and give audiences the chance to experience it on the big screen.' More from Spin: Deep Cut Friday: 'I'm a Man You Don't Meet Every Day' by the Pogues 5 Albums I Can't Live Without: Sam Carter of Architects Jörgen Releases First Single on SPIN Records Buckley came close to transcending his status as the son of British folk legend Tim Buckley during his short musical life, which ended tragically when he accidentally drowned in Memphis at the age of 30 in 1997. Most of his acclaim owes to his early solo shows in defunct downtown New York venues such as Sin-é and his lone studio full-length, Grace, which has been hailed as one of the best debut albums ever made. The Cambridge concert took place six months before the release of Grace and included several songs from that project, such as 'Lover, You Should Have Come Over,' 'Mojo Pin' and 'Last Goodbye.' It's Never Over premiered at Sundance in January after years in the making and will be available on HBO and HBO Max in the winter under the Music Box series umbrella. Among the subjects interviewed for it are Buckley's mother, Mary Guibert, bandmates Michael Tighe and Parker Kindred, ex-partners Rebecca Moore and Joan Wasser and musicians such as Mann and Ben Harper.
