Stanley Tucci's wife Felicity Blunt, 43, makes cheeky quip about their marriage as actor, 64, reveals how he maintains his 'Instagram thirst trap' physique after touring Italy's culinary delights for new TV show
But the multi-talented star, 64, has insisted he wouldn't be able to maintain his pace of life and juggle these career strands without his equally hard working wife.
The US star has been married to Felicity Blunt, the sister of Hollywood star Emily, for 13 years and his wife has her own successful 20 year career as a literary agent, representing legendary authors like Jilly Cooper as well as lending her expertise to her husband's food books.
The couple were initially introduced by Felicity's younger sister, Emily, who Stanely starred alongside in the Devil Wears Prada, during her 2010 wedding to John Krasinski.
Stanley has previously admitted he considered breaking up with Felicity because of their 21 year age gap, but the couple went on to marry in 2012 and now share two children.
And at an event to celebrate the launch of his new TV show Tucci In Italy, Stanley admitted it wouldn't have been possible to pursue his many passion projects without 'the support of Felicity, who works harder than anyone I've ever met.'
'On our marriage', quipped Felicity, 43, who was in the audience for the discussion between Stanley and their mutual pal, journalist Elizabeth Day.
Stanley laughed but continued with his enthusiastic praise of his wife, explaining: 'When you have the support of people it makes it a lot easier. But I like to do all those different things. I don't want to do just one thing.'
The star added that as he's gotten older he has been keen to diversify, musing: 'I think actors become actors because they don't want to be themselves, they want to be different people. It's about telling stories and I want to tell stories in different ways.'
'As I get older I find different ways of telling them, this is one way, books are another way, directing, acting. And there are other ways of telling stories that I want to do in hopefully the next couple of decades, if I have that.'
'They are the stories of you but they are also the stories of how you see the world. I realise now that that's the way I want to spend my life, telling stories in different ways.'
Stanley's latest story-telling venture is Tucci In Italy, a mouthwatering new five-part series from National Geographic following the acclaimed actor and passionate foodie on a culinary and cultural journey through Italy.
The show weaves through the landscapes, traditions and dishes of five distinct regions: Tuscany, Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Abruzzo, and Lazio.
The first episode shows Stanley indulging in a plethora of cuisine, including the Florentine speciality of lampredotto - a tripe dish made from the fourth and final stomach of a cow.
'I was nervous to eat it! It's sweet but it's so ugly,' Stanley confessed. 'It's like fish, the Italians always say the uglier the fish the more delicious it is...that's why my wife married me.'
Stanley admitted that he had a simple technique to ensure he didn't over indulge during filming for the show, which as his friend Elizabeth Day joked, also helped him maintain his infamous Instagram 'thirst trap' physique.
'I'm eating but I'm not eating the whole thing, that would be disgusting,' he said.
'You can't do that because you wouldn't function,' he added but he admitted it was often hard to resist all the delicious dishes on offer.
'Usually when we finish filming a sequence the crew will break for lunch and I'll go take a nap in the van,' he confessed.
Across five episodes, Tucci In Italy sees the star indulge in a lavish Sienese feast in Tuscany, uncover futuristic farm-to-table delicacies in Lombardy, and rediscover the rustic soul of Lazio through its timeless culinary rituals.
And for the first time, he visits the regions of Trentino-Alto Adige, where he samples pine needle pesto in the Alpine wonderland and experiences Abruzzo's wild seafood traditions atop a trabocco, a centuries-old wooden fishing platform.

Christine McGuinness reveals ex Paddy's reaction to her dating women as she says she'll never marry again
CHRISTINE McGuinness has opened up about her ex Paddy 's reaction to her dating woman and said she'll never marry again. Paddy and Christine announced they had separated in 2022 after 15 years together. 7 7 7 The pair still live together for the sake of their children, despite their split. Christine spoke out about her sexuality for the first time recently, revealing she has dated both sexes since she was a teen. The Sun revealed her fling with a leading soap actress earlier this month. Their encounter came in 2023, the year after Christine split from her ex-Top Gear host husband, Paddy, 51. The well-known actress, whom we are not naming, has previously been in relationships with men. Months after their marriage ended, Christine was pictured kissing singer Chelcee Grimes, 33. It was revealed how Christine got "incredibly close" to footballer Chelcee before splitting from Paddy. Yet the songwriter's recent fallout with pal Christine recently came to light, with the real reason for the pair's toxic spat revealed. The former couple have since disconnected on social media. Now, opening up in an interview with The Mail, Christine has revealed her ex Paddy's reaction to her dating woman. Christine McGuinness gives update on relationship with Paddy after soap star fling She said: "We spoke about this after we separated – what are we comfortable with, how much did we want to share – because neither of us wants to wake up and find the other on the front page of a newspaper. "But it's been three years now, I don't need to know what he's doing and he doesn't need to know about me. "It just stays outside the home." Christine then continued to explain that she would never bring a date back home. She shrieked: "No way! Even if I lived on my own it would be a long time before I took that step. "I was messaging an amazing woman last year, and it took three months before I agreed to meet her for a date. Christine has also said she would never use a dating app and meets people through friends, as her public profile is too high. Christine refuses to discuss Paddy's romantic life. The implication is they have both moved on and their private lives are none of each other's business. But could she see herself getting married again? "No,' she said. " I don't mean I'm traumatised by marriage; I was just so young then. I didn't understand how you're legally tied to someone if you're married. "I want to be in a committed relationship, but I want the freedom to walk away." Paddy and Christine first met through a mutual friend in 2007, when she was 19 and he was 33. In 2020, she was diagnosed with autism and ADHD after spending the majority of her life confused as to why she acted differently from everyone else growing up. Since then, the TV star has been raising awareness for it through interviews, television shows and public speaking. 7 7 7 7

Footage of MLB teammates' bizarre sexual handshake goes viral
Footage of the bizarre sexual handshake between Philadelphia Phillies teammates Bryce Harper and Weston Wilson has gone viral after the pair were seen touching each other. In the dugout of Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers, Harper approached Wilson, with the two high-fiving before appearing to check each other's athletic supporters. The move was done simultaneously and without eye contact, drawing the attention of the internet. Some have branded the move as strange, while others see it as two MLB players letting loose and not taking themselves too seriously. Wilson ended up replacing Harper in the game at first base after the two-time National League MVP was ejected from the contest. Yet, even in victory, many remember more about the duo's handshake than what occurred outside the dugout. Bryce Harper and Weston Wilson appeared to do a cup check while the game happened 'Christian Wilkins would THRIVE here,' one MLB fan said about the former Las Vegas Raider who was released in part for kissing a teammate. 'Damn. Keep that play in the clubhouse fellas,' a second person stated. 'Good friends double check if their friends remembered their cups,' a third added. Dude get Weston Wilson off this baseball team NOW. Bryce's non reaction too… I got my eyes on you now too Mr Harper,' a fourth said. 'Bryce Harper and Weston Wilson's handshake is nuts,' a fifth concluded. A collection of messages about Bryce Harper and Weston Wilson's bizarre handshake The Phillies enter Saturday's showdowns a half-game ahead of the New York Mets for first place in the NL East. Both teams are in solid shape to make the postseason, regardless of which wins the division. Harper has been an integral part of Philadelphia's push for the postseason this year, and has not been shy of drumming up controversy, including with MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. Maybe his secret to staying relevant all along has been his dugout handshake with Wilson.
