Human remains found in 6-year search for missing Barnsley man
Police have found human remains at a property that are believed to be connected to a six-year search for a missing man. The discovery was made at a house on Broadcarr Road, Hoyland, in Barnsley on 14 Yorkshire Police have informed the family of Richard Dyson, 58, who was reported missing in November 2019. Two men, aged 72 and 71, have been re-arrested on suspicion of murder after originally being detained in Dyson, from Barnsley, has been missing since he failed to turn up to a pre-arranged meeting with his daughter. Senior investigating officer Andy Knowles said: "We are keeping an open mind following this discovery, and working around the clock to establish the identity of the person involved and the circumstances surrounding this development."Richard Dyson and his family remain at the forefront of our minds as we progress our enquiries, and we know how important it is for them to get answers."We remain keen to hear from anyone with any information which could assist us, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Human remains discovered in remote house after 6-year search for missing man Richard Dyson as cops arrest 2 for ‘murder'
HUMAN remains have been discovered during the search for a missing man - and cops have arrested two people in connection to the case. Police were searching for Richard Dyson, 58, who mysteriously vanished in 2019, when they made the horrific discovery at a house in Barnsley on Monday. 1 A murder probe is now underway following the discovery of a body - but authorities have not confirmed if it belongs to Dyson. The missing man was last seen six years ago on November 17 at about 11pm. He was walking along the A6135 Sheffield Road in Hoyland - before he strangely disappeared. The remains were found at a property on Broadcarr Road in Hoyland on July 14. Scenes have been put in place on Dike Hill, Sheffield Road and Hoyland Common. South Yorkshire Police said there would be an ongoing presence at the property for the next two weeks or so. They also said they would be keeping "an open mind around the circumstances of the discovery". Cops added that the formal identification of the corpse was yet to take place. Two dead including 25yo driver after Vauxhall Astra hits wall as cops launch appeal for information
TWO people including a 25-year-old driver have died after a Vauxhall Astra crashed in the early hours of Sunday morning in Chester. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene after the horror collision in Eccleston - which saw the car smash into a wall. 3 3 3 The tragic crash occurred on Hill Road at 1:40am in the morning - before cops hurried to the scene. A 47-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. But he sadly passed away later on, Cheshire police confirmed on Monday. The 25-year-old driver of the black Astra was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the man behind the wheel was from Smallwood while the passenger was from Rossett. Local cops are also appealing for witnesses of the crash to come forward with any information. The Cheshire force also said that both the men's next of kin of were being supported by specialist officers. Emergency services who arrived to the scene found a black Vauxhall Astra which had collided with a wall. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two engines from Chester to the scene. Officers with the constabulary's serious collision investigation unit are appealing for any witnesses to contact them. The appeal said on Cheshire Constabulary's website: "Shortly after 1.40am on Sunday 20 July, Emergency Services were called to reports of a collision involving a black Vauxhall Astra colliding with a wall, on Hill Road, Eccleston, Chester. "Police and ambulance attended the scene, but despite the best efforts of all those involved, the driver, a 25-year-old man from Smallwood, died at the scene." It added: "A passenger in the vehicle, a 47-year-old man from Rossett, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. "Sadly, he has since sadly passed away as a result of his injuries."
