‘Genius' Justin Bieber secretly licenses paparazzi showdown, signs NDA with photo agency for new album track

Indian Express10 hours ago
Justin Bieber broke his four-year music hiatus with the release of his seventh studio album on July 12. The singer dropped the tracklist without much noise but raised eyebrows when one of the tracks featured real audio from a run-in with paparazzi. According to TMZ, Bieber quietly bought the rights to the footage of himself mid-meltdown and turned that tense moment into a track on Swag. The album includes a 50-second voice note titled 'Standing on Business.'
The lyrics from one of Bieber's new tracks, 'You're not getting it. It's not clocking to you. It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business, is it?' are already making the rounds online, with comedian Druski jumping in to roast his pronunciation. 'I like how you pronounce business,' Druski says. 'I say 'standing on bid-ness.' I don't say 'standing on business, bro.' You were pronouncing every word. You can't do that when you're in the zone.' The audio is pulled from the same clip where Bieber was caught storming out of a restaurant in a hoodie and sweats, yelling at paparazzi, 'I'm a father! Give me some damn respect!'

According to TMZ, behind the scenes, Bieber's team made a deal with the photo agency that shot the video. Part of the deal included a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which means they can't say how much Bieber paid or discuss any fine print. What makes this arrangement even more interesting is that Bieber's always had a rocky history with paparazzi, especially post his marriage to Hailey and the endless rumours that follow them around. But instead of waging war or dodging cameras, he paid the same guys he once clashed with and turned their footage into part of his official album rollout. Fans aren't mad, they're calling it genius.

In other parts of the album, Bieber opened up about his marriage to Hailey, the constant pressure of being followed, while subtly acknowledging reports of trouble in paradise. Still, he makes it clear he's not walking away. Ahead of the album drop, Bieber and Hailey posted a stream of photos with their newborn, Jack Blues Bieber, now very much a part of the album's core theme. The 21-track Swag mixes lo-fi, R&B-infused pop with multiple voice notes. On one of the most talked-about tracks, 'Walking Away,' he sings: 'Baby, I ain't walking away / You were my diamond / Gave you a ring / I made you a promise. I told you I'd change / It's just human nature / These growing pains / And baby, I ain't walking away.' Elsewhere, he hints at leaning on someone's shoulder during his rough patch, and someone being after his money. Earlier this month, Bieber and his former manager, Scooter Braun, quietly settled their financial disputes.

Shruti Haasan Reacts To Justin Bieber's Emotional Posts: 'It's A Planetary Problem'

Last Updated: Justin Bieber's Instagram posts often leave fans concerned. Shruti Haasan recently commented on this. Singer Justin Bieber, 31, has been making headlines again, this time for his newest album titled Swag. The Peaches singer often makes headlines for his deeply emotional and sometimes confusing Instagram posts, leaving fans concerned about his well-being. With the internet sharing their opinion of what Justin Bieber is going through, Shruti Haasan offered a wider lens. In a candid chat with Ranveer Allahabadia (BeerBiceps) on his podcast The Ranveer Show, Shruti Haasan didn't hold back as she shared her thoughts on what Justin might be going through. When asked whether she likes Justin, the Gabbar Singh actor replied without hesitation, 'I don't like his music. And I don't know him, so I have no opinion." She explained further, 'It's (music) too happy. I think I heard that first song of his that put me off (Baby)." But while Shruti isn't a fan of his music, she empathises with what he seems to be going through. When Ranveer pointed out that Justin 'seems to be going through something lately," Shruti, 39, responded, 'Oh definitely!" What followed was a candid, reflective moment. Ranveer said he understands what Justin is experiencing, but added that not everyone does. Shruti then offered this take: 'You know, the thing is, and I've always said this — again not to play the boo hoo card — right now the world is in a very challenging space for everyone. And I feel that everyone is going through a challenging time. It's just that when you put a camera on it, it's just more obvious. But I promise you it's not a Justin Bieber thing, it's a planetary problem currently." In other words, Justin isn't alone. His emotional turmoil may be amplified by fame, but it's part of a much larger struggle that many silently face. Shruti further opened up about how she copes with dark phases in her own life, including a piece of advice that her legendary father Kamal Haasan has consistently shared with her. 'Honestly, and I've said this in so many interviews, the advice he consistently says is, 'don't be afraid of pain, no pain, no gain'. If there is something challenging coming in front of you, face it, take it on. Of course, practically and don't hurt yourself, but no pain, no gain. And you shouldn't be afraid of the challenges," she said. On the work front, Shruti Haasan is gearing up for the release of Coolie, where she plays a key role alongside Rajinikanth. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, with a cameo by Aamir Khan and a dance number featuring Pooja Hegde. Apart from Coolie, she has an interesting film line-up including Vijay Sethupathi's Train, Thalapathy Vijay's last film Jana Nayagan and Prabhas' Salaar Part 2.
